Eylure Individual Lashes
Advantages: Looks great, lasts well,
Disadvantages: Can be tricky to apply
A short while ago, I was getting sick to death of putting mascara on everyday, and I have quite short, light lashes in comparison to black hair (coloured black) so I wanted something a bit more long term.
Whilst in a Sally's store picking up some hair supplies, I noticed the Eyelure Individual Lashes, and thought that these would be just the ticket for what I wanted. I bought a box, and some eyelash glue (it does not come supplied!!) and took them home.
The Individual Lashes are basically what they say, a box of individual eyelashes, which you glue along the line of your own lashes to add to and enhance what you already have. Think of it like a boob job for your eyelashes!
The Individual Lashes come set into a plastic tray, and each one is set far enough away from each other to ensure they do not get stuck together when you remove one from the tray.
I found the best way to handle the Individual Lashes is with a pair of tweezers, as they are too small to handle with just your fingers. This also helps in the precision of placing the Individual Lashes onto your own lashes.
The glue can be a tricky situation, I ended up using a discarded plastic lid, and placing a small blob of the glue on to the lid. Then when I had picked up a lash with my tweezers, I gently swiped the end of the lash over the glue. I found that this got the perfect amount of glue required onto the Individual Lash, and it saved me getting glue every where, I never was the tidest of people!
You do need some time and patience for putting the lashes onto your eyelids, and it really did take some practice for me to get them right. Once you get past catching them on your eyelashes, glueing them too high up your eyelid or dropping them all over the place, they finally get a bit easier to place.
Once I got the Individual Lashes onto my eye, I was really pleased with how they looked. I put about 15 - 20 Individual Lashes on each eye, and I looked like I had long, thick black lashes, but without looking fake. It was like I was wearing a good mascara! I was actually quite amazed with the look, as it was exactly what I was hoping for.
The lashes I bought were medium in length and ultra black in colour. They also come in short and long, and in black and brown. They can also be bought in a pack of all 3 lengths, so you can create a more natural look. My lashes lasted about 2 weeks, although Eyelure say that the results can last up to 4. Luckily you do not need a whole packet in one go, so if you lose the occasional lash, you can just pop another one on.
As I said before, I bought my Individual Lashes in a Sallys store, but they are also available in larger Boots and Superdrug stores. You can also buy them on Amazon, and depending on where you buy them you should expect to pay around £5 - £7 a box and around £2 for the glue.
I recommend Eyelure Individual Lashes 100%. They are really great at the job they are intended for, and I would happily wear them again.
Summary: A great way to enhance your eyelashes
