A shimmery bronzer which makes you look sun kissed and doubles up as a highlighter

I have quite a pale complexions so I need to use bronzers on top of my make up to give my face a bit of colour. I also need to use highlighter to accentuate certain features on my face. For these reasons, I bought the Beyond Bronze Shimmer Brick by Fake Bake. What does the product do? The product promises to give your skin a beautiful and radiant glow. It is a multi striped bronzer which has a pearl finish which a gorgeous finish and can be used to add a sun kissed glow to the skin and a highlighted finish to your cheek and brow bones. The shades also double up as an eye shadow to make your eyes look pretty. You can purchase the product in light or medium. Product appearance The product comes contained within a hard hot pink compact which is metallic, shiny and eye catching. You can see your reflection in it although you look pink! It has the product on the front and some more product information is given on the back. The product flips open and you can see your reflection in the mirror inside which makes this easy to apply on the go. The powder is compacted into a square shape and the product has five stripes of colour. There three bronze shades and two highlighting shades which are pink and white. How do you use the product? The product can be applied to the cheekbone using a bronzer brush and swirling your brush over the whole product to get a mix of the colours. When I am applying the highlighter then I use my fingers and sweep them over the pink and white before sweeping the colours on my cheekbones and my brow bones to accentuate them. When I use the product as an eye shadow, I use an eye shadow applicator and sweep it over one of the brown shades before applying it to the eye lid. Price The product will cost you around £13. I bought mine from Boots and it is also available from a range of online websites. My experience When you look at the shades in the compact, you can see the powders have a pearlescent finish and that they are all quite shimmery. The first time that I used the product I did use it all over the face to make me look less pale but unfortunately it is too shimmery for this purpose and it made me look a little bit like a glitter ball. The is packed tightly and so you don't get lots of powder kicking up into the air when you use it so you shouldn't find yourself getting in too much of a mess. Despite it being packed tightly, it is quite pigmented and plenty of it comes off when you sweep a brush across it. As it bronzer, it puts a lovely sun kissed and shimmering bronze shade across your chicks which blends in well with my skin. I've bought the light compact and it suits my skin tone. It's clearly artificial because of the cheeks but it still looks pretty. The highlighter works really well and it highlights my brow bones and cheek bones beautifully. It has a frosty finish which looks really pretty and it has a pearlescent finish. It works well as an eye shadow too and is subtle enough for the day time or it can be more intense if you apply it using a wet brush. The product is quite long lasting and it does make it through the day remaining mainly in place. The product hasn't irritated my skin at all or caused to me to develop any blemishes. It comes off easily with my usual make up remover and face wipes. Conclusion All in all, this is a lovely and versatile product which can accentuate your best bests and leave you will a sun kissed complexion. It comes with a mirror and can be applied on the go. It has a shimmery finish which makes it more suitable for evening wear and it is long lasting. I've had mine for more than a year and it still looks brand new so it should last for years.

Adds a lovely glow to a tan

The Fake Bake Beyond Bronze shimmer brick 12g is a powder bronzing product. This product comes in two shades, medium and light. I have the light shade as even with a tan, my skin is fairly pale. This product comes in a square shaped, shiny pink compact. When you open the compact, one side has a mirror and the other contains the product. The product itself is multi-striped, ranging from a light gold-ish colour to a deeper bronze. There are 5 stripes. This product is multi-use. I use it with a body brush to dust on over my shoulders/collar bones to add shimmer to a tan. This is my favourite use for this product. It adds a lovely glow to your skin and I usually receive a compliment on my fan when I use this. It could probably also be used to add shimmer to the legs if you liked. It can also be used on the face over foundation to add a bit of shimmer, I personally would not use this product on my face every day but I did dust a bit over my foundation while I was on holiday recently to add a bit of a summer glow. Finally the individual stripes can be used as eyeshadow. I have applied this to my eyes using an eyeshadow brush. The result is a shimmery eyeshadow which does not crease. I have very sensitive skin on my eyes and this does not irritate them, which is a plus! I find that this product lasts for ages on your skin. It will last the whole day/night without wearing off or needing reapplied. One thing that I would suggest is if you are applying this to body, it is a good idea to apply before you put your clothes on, as it can be quite dusty and could go over your clothes. This product costs £13.99 from Boots, in store or online. This is quite pricey but as I don't use it everyday it has lasted me ages so far, and I won't need to replace it for a long time. It is also on offer at 3 for 2 in Boots with the rest of the Fake Bake range. I give this product 4 stars, taking one off for the fact that it is very dusty and so messy to apply. I hope you enjoyed my review!
