Max Factor Erace Concealer
by xxfoxyredxx
How many times have you bought a concealer that really has been rubbish and done nothing at all or you've found that the concealer may be good at concealing a slight blemish but not under eyes shadows/circles and so on? For me over the past 24 years of using make up this has been the case. I can't think of one brand or style of a ... concealer that has just been good for all of my facial needs and has meant I havent had to have loads of products of the same kind in my make up collection....until I stumbled upon this one last year and now its a product I am faithful to and highly recommend to any age of woman.
The packaging of this is simple and it comes in a lipstick style casing and then on the side of it in gold writing we are clearly told what it is and who it is by then on the base of it we are told what colour is it (Mine is Ivory though many shades are available from this range) and contact details for Max Factor are given).
Using It:
This is suitable for anywhere on your face and where you want a bit of extra coverage. The case is easy to twist to reveal the slightly cosmeticky smelling soft block of colour which the first time you get it is slanted and you can use this under, over foundation, on spots, blemishes, dis-coloured skin, under and on eyes, from from the case, blend with fingers, use a brush..... you get the idea I'm sure and what I'm saying is that this is a very simple product to use and very versatile.
This comes off the block of colour sheer and I apply it straight under and over my eyes for a pep up and to conceals darkness and then for hygiene purposes I wipe it on a clean cosmetic sponge just the once and dab the sponge over spots and the likes.
This blends ever so well with no effort required from me at all and it really does brighten and lighten the skin, it covers blemishes and spots without sliding off them or clumping up on them up and works by simply making the spots look lighter in colour. Once I have applied it I then gently apply foundation over the top and some pressed/loose powder over that to set it all and this I find stays put and works hard for me all day long till I choose to remove it. For me this is a little miracle worker though I am conscious that as I use it often I do run low often and have to replace it but this is really a product I am never without and I paid about £6.99 a tube from Amazon.co.uk though Google it if interested and I did see this in my local Superdrug on sale too in various colours just recently.
I really do give this one a thumbs up even though it runs out fast for me because it does what I require from it, is simple to use and simply highly effective! Read the complete review |

Max Factor Second Skin Foundation
by Taz123456
== PRICE ==
I purchased the Max Factor Second Skin Foundation for around £13 from my local Boots store. I have heard that it was £17, but I managed to buy mine for £13, which is still quite expensive for foundation in my opinion. However I was tempted to try it out as the foundation I was using had run out and I urgently ... needed a replacement, plus the Max Factor brand is known for its quality which is one of the reasons why I opted for the Max Factors branded foundation.
== DESIGN ==
The foundation comes in liquid form and comes enclosed in a glass bottle. It has a plastic dispenser which is covered by a black plastic lid. The dispenser is very well designed to ensure that no excess foundation leaks when pressing down on the dispenser, only the amount you need which is generally not a lot, as I found a small amount can go quite far.
== MY EXPERIENCE ==
I find the dispenser very easy to push down and works well by releasing small amounts of foundation at a time, which is great as you don't want to end up wasting foundation that costs quite a lot.
I usually put a little on my index finger and spread evenly around my face. It is not too runny, so it does not start dripping down your fingers when waiting to apply it, instead it has a great sturdy-like consistency which makes it very easy to apply. It can also be applied using a normal foundation brush, but I personally prefer to use my fingers to ensure I don't end up wasting any unnecessarily. When applying the foundation I found it absorbed into my skin very quickly and didn't make my face look greasy or too shiny like some of the other foundations I have used in the past, and managed to cover up any spots or scars effectively.
The colour itself blended perfectly onto my skin, it almost looked like I had a natural blemish free looking skin which is great and supports the connotations associated with the 'second skin' title of the product, as it actually looked like a applied a layer of fresh skin (sorry if that sounds weird, but its hard to describe!).
I was also really pleased with the lasting effects of this foundation, I would apply it in the morning before work and eight to nine hours later my skin looked fresh and naturally attractive.
== VERDICT ==
Overall I would recommend this to a friend if they do not have a tight budget, it is a great foundation that does the job perfectly for lighter coloured skin tones. It lasts quite a while, as only a small amount can easily cover the whole face; so for that reason for me it would just about out weigh the price issue and I would purchase it again in the future.
