This comes boxed, in an 18ml plastic tube. It’s gold in colour, with a white screw on lid that it ‘stands’ onIt’s worth noting that there are slightly different versions available that differ in terms of the SPF available.
The product is ‘enriched with brightening Pure Lemon Essence, which is apparently a ‘powerful skin exfoliator’. The formula contains SPF 21/PA++, designed to protect skin from UVA/UVB rays. In addition to this, ‘mineral pigments’ give a ‘natural effect and long lasting perfection’ to help cover skin imperfections. The list of things this miracle little cream claims to do is as follows:
- Lightens dark spots / acne marks
- Mattifies / reduces oil for a ‘powder finish’
- Evens skin tone
- Brightens up skin
Quite impressive, for one little cream that I bought for 99p! It’s available in different shades, including Light and Medium that I’ve seen. I think mine is Medium, which was the only option available.
To apply, this is very quick and simple. It’s designed to be used like your usual moisturiser, by putting a small blob on main areas and gently spreading over your face for even coverage.
The cream is intended to be lightweight, which I would agree with once it’s on It claims to not block pores and be suitable to wear; I can’t guarantee it doesn’t block pores, but I’ve not noticed a worsening of skin or imperfections having used this, and once it’s on your skin it does feel comfortable.
The cream is a golden colour and quite thick, so the consistency isn’t as easy to spread as my usual moisturiser. It seems like it’s going to be too thick and heavy to apply easily, and indeed it’s a little tricky, especially when you’re trying to use as little as possible. It smells pleasant enough, quite sweet, and a mix between a moisturiser and a sun cream possibly.
It felt ‘light’ on my face and not like it was clogging my pores, greasy or caked on. I liked this about the BB cream because it’s not like wearing a foundation, or at least it wasn’t for me as I’d not used much. It didn’t make my face feel tight or dried out either; whilst the moisturising aspect wasn’t immediately noticeable, it must have done something to keep my face feeling smooth.
The product does seem to give a nice glow to my skin, which, as I’ve said, it usually very pale. It didn’t look orange nor strange, nor like I had layers of make up on. It just looked healthier and more ‘even’ in terms of skin tone. I wouldn’t say this cream made my face look oily nor did it really look overly matt, but it seemed just right at the time, if perhaps leaning towards the former after a few hours.
I tried a sample of this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream not long ago. BB Cream has become really popular in recent years. Inspired by popular products in Asia, BB creams are similar to tinted moisturisers, in that they moisturise while also adding a little colour. They are meant to condition and care for the skin; this one contains Vitamin C and mineral pigments to keep skin looking fresh.
The product is meant to hydrate and illuminate skin in one. It also contains SPF 15, which is handy, as you’re meant to wear some kind of sun protection every day but I don’t like to use “proper” suncream, which can be greasy.
Normally priced at £9.99, the cream is available in Light, Medium and Dark. Being incredibly pale I was glad that my sample was in the Light shade, although I still feared that it would be too dark for me. This was not the case, however: thankfully the cream blended well with my pale skin.
The cream sank into my skin well, kept it reasonably moisturised (I had to use extra moisturiser during the coldest days of winter, but otherwise it was fine) and didn’t cause irritation. I felt that it helped care for my skin and keep it looking good and healthy.
Overall I’d be happy to purchase this BB cream. It is a good product that treats my skin well.
The Garnier miracle skin perfector BB Cream was the first ever "BB" cream I used. This can be translated as beauty balm or beauty blemish cream, whichever you prefer. We now have CC creams on the market too so this was an early experience of BB cream for me.
When I think about it, the BB cream is just a modern day tinted moisturiser in my opinion. It is lighter than a foundation and moisturises the skin. You can use it on its own or under foundation so it performs as a bit of a primer in that way.
From the three shades available; light, medium and dark I chose the medium for my skin tone. It went on nicely, you don't need a lot and I used a beauty sponge to even out the coverage although you can also use your fingers to get a good finish.
I bought my tube from Boots for around £8 when they first launched and I liked it as a lighter daily alternative to foundation. I have since tried other brands and whilst this is good I would not rush out to buy it as I have found other better brands (in my opinion) on the market.
What I did find with this BB cream was that by mid afternoon my skin felt a little greasy as if it had been over moisturised. It didn't cause a break out or anything but it also made my make up shift a bit around my face. I do think there are better ones out there to try than this brand now as it has been out a while and technology has moved on in the BB market.
I don’t wear much makeup unless I am going on a night out as I do not really like the feel of it on my skin. So when I heard about BB (blemish balm) cream which is a cross between a moisturiser and a foundation I though it was worth a try.
I purchased the Garnier BB cream as part of a gift set with a body oil in the Tesco sale which was priced at just £5.00. To purchase this BB cream on its own in Boots it is currently priced at £9.99 for a 50ml tube. It is available in 3 different shades light, medium or dark with the light one being included in my gift set as I do have rather pale skin.
The BB cream comes packaged in a plastic tube with flip top cap. This BB cream is designed to be used on its own or to act as a primer. It claims to give sheer coverage and blur imperfections and lines for a softer, more even skin tone. This cream also contains SPF15 to help protect your skin against the suns rays.
As soon as I purchased this cream I was eager to try it as there had been quite a lot of ‘hype’ surrounding BB creams. And I will say that I have been impressed, I have tried tinted moisturisers before but never really liked them but this was much better. I always apply a tiny bit of my usual moisturiser before I apply this BB cream as I do get a few dry patches so need a little extra moisturiser in some areas. The BB cream is very silky to the touch and a small blob the size of a 5p is enough to cover my whole face. It glides on easily and blends with very little effort. It does not cover anywhere near as heavily as a foundation but does help to reduce the appearance of my enlarged pores and gives my skin a smoother appearance and healthy looking glow.
For day wear I use this BB cream on its own but for a more glamorous evening look I will use it as a primer and find that it gives an excellent base for my foundation, a more flawless look and helps my eye shadow stay put for longer.
Removing this BB cream is also very easy and with some face wash or face wipes it cleans off my skin leaving it feeling soft and nourished.
Overall I have been very impressed with this Garnier BB cream it is perfect for giving my skin a smoother, brighter appearance during the day or acts as a brilliant primer under my foundation. It leaves my skin feeling supple and moisturised and also reduces the appearance of my blemishes and pores. I will certainly be purchasing another tube of this BB cream when mine runs out and would highly recommend it especially for people who do not like wearing much make up.
WHAT IS IT?
This is BB cream that is made by Garnier. I have got the Light version of the BB cream but there are other shades available also.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
You apply the BB cream to cleansed skin.
WHAT I THINK
I think this BB cream is quite good but it is not one of the best that I have tried and it is very average. It is easy to apply and it dries nearly as soon as it is on my skin and I am happy about that because I like to apply my products like this quick and not to take too much time on them.
This gives me a very natural look and the shade of the BB cream is very good for me so that people can not see that I am wearing anything on my face and my skin looks like it is naturally in good health and with a glow.
It does not last for very long on my skin and when it wears off it looks patchy so as soon as I notice I always remove what is left and replace it with more BB cream. This is very easy to do because of it being so fast and I can apply my BB cream without even having a mirror as long as I take care to apply it evenly around my nose.
I am happy with the way my skin looks when I use this and I do not have to wear foundation because of the tint so it is good for creating a natural appearance on my face. I do not think it is a miracle like it says on the tube but it makes me look healthier if my skin is dull because I am unwell or if I have been working too hard.
A tube of Garnier BB cream that has got 50ml of cream in it costs £9.99 and I do not think it is worth that money because it is not an excellent product even though it is good and I have got BB creams that are alot better than this for cheaper.
3 Dooyoo Stars.
Unless you're blessed with naturally beautiful good looks you need a bit of help along the way and this BB cream from Garnier definitely helps me achieve a better looking face.
So, what exactly is a BB cream? Well, BB stands for beauty balm and according to an article I read, "B.B. creams are hybrid products which combine the benefits of skincare and make-up in one.
Initially developed by a German dermatologist in the 1950s, to soothe skin and provide coverage, B.B. Creams were made famous in South Korea by an actress famed for her beautiful skin.
Over the following years, they became a cult must-have product across Asia due to their sheer, flawless finish and their “all-in-one” qualities."
So, as you can see, this cream is a little bit different than a regular foundation and I really like the way it makes my face look and the nice smooth look I can achieve with my make up.
Garnier say that this BB cream will give you, "immediately perfected skin with even tone and boosted glow. Blurs imperfections and smoothes fine lines. SPF15 protection and 24hr hydration."
It's very simple to use and you apply it just like a foundation even across your face. I went for the medium coloured cream as I think it matched my skin tone better but you can get this in a lighter version too. It goes on really lightly and is not heavy or cakey in any way. I love the way it makes my face look really even and it does cover up certain little veins or red spots I have well, leaving me with a really smooth, even looking face.
A 50ml tube with a handy flip cap lid so it's easy to access costs just £10 and because you only need a little bit at a time this cream will last a very long time.
I bought this BB cream in the hope that it would be something I can wear alone when I don''t want to put any more make up on. Upon first use this cream smells pleasant and goes on well but almost seemed watery and very strange textured. I felt that having put this on in the morning, by the time the afternoon came it had worn completely off and so defeating the reason why I had bought it in the first place. I used a couple more times but it soon got out in a drawer and forgotten about. I then came across the product a couple of months later and so as we often do, I hoped to reuse it and perhaps be more impressed. However as I went to squeeze a little on to my fingers it was as if some of the water from the moisturiser had completely separated from the cream and water was coming out of the pack. Obvious to say was not impressed at all and decided to discontinue using this product and threw it away. I have no idea why it went like this, I didn''t store the cream anywhere where it may have been affected by climate etc. I found this a shame but from the first use I wasn''t that impressed with the texture and unfortunately this only seemed to get worse. May I also add that when I did first use this product and thought it may be good for use on holiday especially when going swimming and activities like that, if this product was to then go anywhere near my eyes it would sting very bad. This product obviously works for some, but I would recommend to those looking for a BB cream to try a different brand for the same price!
BB cream stands for blemish balm or base and is an all in one facial cosmetic product. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturzier, or under powder or foundadtion depending on the level of coverage you want. It is intended to hide and treat acne and spots and the apperance of dark skin and age spots. It works as a moisturizer, sun cream (with a SPF of 15), anti ager, and primer and it evens skin tone and even renews cells. sounds good hey ladies???
MY EXPERIENCE AND OPINION
Well I have to say I LOVE this product, I have a very combined skin type and I always struggle to find products to use so I dont anger my acne, but this is FAB.
I myself use it under my face powder as I need the extra coverage, but because of the thick texture you can use it by itself as a foundadtion. I love the anti age one, as we all need to think about the future! This product is easy to use, and it has a thick consistency which makes it easy to apply and not very messy on the tube. It has a light fragrence and stays on all day without the need to reapply. Quick and easy to put on and once on it stays on. I would definately urge you to try ladies :)
As a red head with pale skin I really struggle to find some form of coverage for my skin. All the foundations that I've tried are far too dark and make me look like tangerine, and I've had to make do with (lightly) tinted moisturisers. This product has been heavily advertised for some time now, promising to 'miraculously' transform your skin so I thought that I'd give it a go.
The product itself smells lovely, in fact I'd love to have a moisturiser or a body lotion with this scent, it's absolutely lovely! It has the same consistency as a facial moisturiser and sinks into the skin making it feel nourished and soft.
The colour and coverage however was the most disappointing. The bottle stated that it was suitable for 'light' skin tones which appeared dark and orange against my skin. My skin and 'imperfections' did not look any different and this did not change after using this product for 2 weeks. There is nothing remotely miraculous about this product, and for me it's definitely not worth the £6 I paid for it.
If you're fair, don't waste your money.
BB creams are very much flavour of the month at the moment, however this one is not just hype, it really works!
I have been using a Max Factor honey beige foundation for about 10 years which I have been very happy with. However with all the promises being made about this particular product I thought I would give it go. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector promises to immediately perfect your skin with even tone and boost its glow whilst blurring any imperfections, smoothing fine lines, whilst having SPF15 protection and 24hr hydration phew! Too much to promise? I was pleasantly surprised!
The Cream comes in 50ml tube which on first sight appears to be a little on the small side for the price (I paid £9.99 in Boots). However the cream itself goes along way and spreads thinly on the skin. Once applied I found it made my skin look radiant, healthy and youthful. I myself am 37 years old but I imagine that it would work particularly well on older skin. All in all an excellent product that does what it says on the tin.
This product was my first experience using a BB cream, there has been such a buzz about them lately that i decided it was time to give it a go. I bought the cream for £5 (half price) in sainsbury's.
The product comes in a 50ml tube, which at first i thought was very small considering the full price, however a little really does go a long way. When held up to the light the tube is very slightly transparent allowing you to see how much product is left. The graphics on the tube are standard for all garnier products but i do like the sheen that the tube has. The product has a flip cap allowing the product to be squeezed out, this is perfect if you over use a little as it can be suckd back in again.
There seem to be very few shades to choose from, the only shades i could find were light an medium. Luckily i have a pale complection, although this could be quite frustrating to anyone with a dark skin tone.
ON THE SKIN
The product feels identical to oil paints, very thick and oily a little stange i must admit. Once the product is on the skin it blends in very well, although only a small amount needs to be used. The product states that it is a multi purpose product which can be used as a mousturiser, primer, light foundation ect. It is fantastic as a moisturiser, it leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. I have also used it as a primer, it seems to work well with a light liquid foundation although i don't think it would be suitable for anything thick or heavy set. This product is great for anyone who likes to wear a light natural looking foundation, it wouldn't be suitable for full coverage. It makes the skin look fresh, dewy and illuminated. I also like that it contains spf 15 as i burn incredibly easily, its nice that this is added in.
This BB cream has converted me, i couldn't imagine using a normal facial moisturiser again
I have problems with finding a foundation that matches my skin colour because im so pale so when a friend told me about this i was very eager to try it out as it comes in a light shade.
I brought the product when it was on offer at superdrug for £4.49 but original price is for £8, when i tried the BB cream out i found it come out as a really nice texture when you put it on your face it rubs in really well and its not heavy on the skin so it doesnt look like you have alot of makeup on if that the look you are trying to achieve.
The BB cream states that it blurs imperfections and smooths fine lines out which i have found to be rather true but i dont find that it lasts on your face all day which is a shame, you tend to start seeing the lines coming back through the cream and imperfections you have tried to hide do actually start showing again.
One thing i think it definately does offer is really good hydration for the skin, i find my skin is always so soft when using this cream and i also find you can put foundation over the top of it and wear powder to which makes it last longer.
The bottle comes in a good size and you dont need to put alot on your face for it to do its job so the product does last a long time.
When I first bought this cream I was slightly dubious about the results I would achieve, what with it claiming to even your skin tone, cover up blemishes, blur imperfections, moisturise, provide protection with SPF 15 and give you a natural healthy glow, but I can safely say I was well and truly surprised. My skin looked flawless! I really can't believe how great it works. All my imperfections were covered and it gave me and even, smooth coverage and even gave me a fresh faced look and a dewy glow. I usually have quite dry skin and am prone to get a few spots but this cream moisturised my skin wonderfully and I now no longer have dry skin and it nicely covered up most of my breakouts. I've found that i don't even use my foundation or powder anymore, this BB cream does the job of both and more! One minor thing that could knock this product is that it is quite dark, I tend to use medium coloured foundation and powder but I found that using this cream in a medium colour made my skin look quite orangey and I could see quite a big difference between my natural skin colour and the colour this product made my skin. So if you are used to using medium coloured facial makeup I would probably recommend using this product in the light colour if you want it to blend with your skin tone nicely. Other than that I have nothing bad to say and I absolutely LOVE this product!
