I loved the elizabeth arden make up remover but when I saw this plus 2 other make up removers on a 3 for a fiver I decided to give them a try figuring I would at least like one of them and buying them together I could really compare them with each other.
I never had much experience with this brand ,I think I have bought face wipes but that's about it .I think I would class it as being between shops own like tesco etc and premium.
A lot of these are packaged the same way
The first time I used this I made the mistake of not giving the bottle a shake first .The result wasn't that great, the product didn't feel very nice or remove make up that well.At that point I moved on to the two others I had bought at the same time by the same brand.I did go back to it mainly because I don't really like wasting products. This gets applied in the same way as other make up removers. You apply it to a cotton pad and sweep over the eye area. After reading the instructions and using it the way I am supposed to I still wasn't that impressed by it.I feel it removed make up better than the garnier in the blue bottle I had but not as well as the one in the green. I also don't feel the product was that soothing and it was one of those products I felt I had to make sure there was none left on my face or I think it would have irritated me.
Overall I don't recommend this .I think I do need to mention though that some of the makeup I wear such as Urban Decay is really long lasting and I find cheaper products don't remove it as easily .It's not one of those brands that you wear all day and is nearly gone by bed anyway so all you need to do is give your face a quick wipe.I also think if I hadn't bothered to wash the traces of this off I would have came out in a rash. Not soothing for me!
I wear make-up almost every day so a good make-up remover is essential to me, and I am trying to make a real effort to perform my cleanse, tone, moisturise skincare routine twice a day. More recently I have been looking to cut back on my beauty spending, and I came across this Garnier Skin Naturals Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Make-up Remover in Boots, where it is available for the reasonable RRP of £2.99 for a 200ml bottle. I took advantage of a special offer where I could get two products from the Garnier skincare range for £4.00, and so made a small saving here as well.
Product description: "Enriched with plant extract and pro-vitamin B5 its 2 in 1 formula with no perfume and no alcohol, combines the efficacy of a make-up removing oil (blue liquid) with the freshness of a cleansing water (clear liquid) in just one step. Leaving no residue, your skin feels soft and comfortable, with no rubbing!"
This make-up remover comes in a translucent plastic bottle which allow you to clearly see the level of liquid inside. You can notice that the cleanser is quite unusual as it consists of two different liquids, one clear and one blue, which sit separately within the bottle and you shake it up to mix them and activate the cleanser. The bottle has a flip-top lid and underneath the lid there is a small hole which forms a little spout for you to dispense the remover onto a cotton pad. I have had many problems with this, as nearly every time I tip the liquid out, it overflows and the excess spills out. The lid does seem to come loose from time to time so possibly this is what causes the problem, but it is a nuisance and I find it annoying that some of the product gets wasted unnecessarily.
Recommended directions for use: Shake the bottle to mix the two liquids, then soak a cotton wool pad with the mixture and wipe gently over the face and eyes to remove make-up.
I did a quick total in my head, and figure that on an average sort of day I use 8 different make-up products on my face, so when it comes to the end of the day I get through a lot of cleanser! This particular make-up remover has a liquid consistency and is made of a mixture of oil and water. It doesn't seem to have any sort of noticeable scent, and is recommended for use on all skin types even including sensitive skin. I find it very practical to use late at night as I don't have to mess around with water and fully washing my face, instead I can just soak the liquid onto some cotton pads and wipe my make-up away. I find that my make-up does come away easily, especially if I hold the pads over my eyes to loosen the make-up first. However, it takes a lot of product to get my skin fully clean, and I have to use at least three cotton pads each time to get rid of a full face of make-up. The remover soaks into the cotton pads so I use both sides to cleanse my face, which does help to make it a bit more economical and means that I don't have to use extra pads and liquid. I use this make-up remover all over my face, but it also comes in useful when I specifically need to remove my eye make-up, as some of my other facial cleansers are not suitable for use in this area, and it is handy to have an easy-to-use product like this to finish off cleansing with. It claims to also remove waterproof make-up, but I haven't used anything which would test this out. Because of the oil content in the remover, it can leave my skin feeling a bit greasy afterwards, but once I've finished my routine with toner and moisturiser this balances my skin out again and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.
I always like to have a liquid make-up remover on hand as it is a fuss-free way to cleanse. This 2 in 1 Make-up Remover by Garnier performs well and is available at a reasonable price, so I would be happy to buy it again.
Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing 2in1 Make-Up Remover
This Garnier make-up remover is supplied in a clear plastic container with a flip lid. It is easily spotted on the shelf due to being somewhat larger than many other make-up removers on the market and due to its unique colouration of a blue top and clear bottom.
The pot has the usual icons on the back that in this case inform that the product is good for just 6 months from opening and that the pot is recyclable being PE.
I find eye make-up remover problematic. I have sensitive eyes, yet because my eyes are prone to run, I use waterproof mascara and that means I require a remover that can cope with removing the waterproof mascara fairly easily without upsetting my eyes. There are very few products that fit the bill, many get used a couple of times and either given away or if I cannot find an alternative use for them thrown away. So now I have started using this product I will continue to do so, because it does not upset my eyes, the skin around them and does an alright job at removing make-up.
Due to the obvious mixture in the container, first I give a good shake to the bottle before opening the flip lid and applying a good squirt onto a piece of cotton wool. I then sweep this carefully over my eye area, before reapplying along the eye line and lashes to capture the eyeliner and mascara. I then repeat to the other side. The remover quickly and easily removes most of my eye make-up. I frequently have to reapply to finally remove some that it has just moved down my face a little rather than completely remove. However, this product is suitable for face and eyes, so I could use it to remove all my facial make-up and then that problem would probably not occur. I guess I chose the Garnier Simply Essentials because the front of the container informs the consumer that the product is suitable for even sensitive skin and that it contains no perfume, no alcohol and no rubbing (I think they mean no need to rub?!).
There is no discernible fragrance and I guess they have not added perfume to keep it sensitive. I have in the past needed to damp the cotton wool before adding the remover in order for it to work, not so this product, because it contains an oil, it smoothes on easily and painlessly with no drag, making it painless and easy to use. Additionally, some products create a film over my eye, or cause the cotton wool to stick to my lashes, not so this product. So, you see, whilst it does not do anything spectacular, it is what it doesn't do that impresses me!
Sensitive eyes or sensitive skin. Garnier have developed a product to painlessly remove make-up with a little persuasion.
CONCLUSION & STARS:
Generally, I am very happy with this product. I don't tink the perfect eye make-up remover for me exists. This comes pretty close, but just in case there is a better one I have not yet found I will award 4/5 stars.

I ran out of my usual eye makeup remover and had to pop to the shops to pick some up. I chose the Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Eye Makeup Remover, as I have tried Garnier products in the past and liked them, and it was reasonably priced at £2.99.
The product comes in a blue plastic bottle, through which you can see the clear liquid inside. It has the texture and appearance of water but the scent is a gentle fresh one. The eye makeup remover has been without perfume, alcohol and colourants so it should be suitable for sensitive eyes. It contains plant extract and pro vitamin B5 to condition the skin around the eyes. Garnier describe the product as an efficient yet gentle eye makeup remover, which removes eye makeup and dissolves mascara. To use the product, you are meant to soak a cotton wool pad in remover, hold it over your eyelid for a few seconds, and then wipe away.
I wear different kinds of eye makeup depending on the occasion, ranging from neutral colours and a little mascara for a subtle daytime look, to dark eyeshadow and black eyeliner for a dramatic evening look. I never wear waterproof mascara so I don't need to worry about removing this. I do wear contact lenses so I am careful about what I put around my eyes.
Removing eye makeup is the first step in my evening cleansing routine. Using this product as instructed, I find it fairly effective at removing eye makeup. It removes eyeshadow with no problems, as well as the majority of mascara: my normal cleanser, with which I follow the eye makeup remover, gets rid of the last traces. When I wear more dramatic eye makeup, I find the product less effective. I have to rub my eyes a bit to get every trace of makeup off, which means I have to remove my contact lenses first. On these occasions I would prefer to use a more effective product to make the skin around my eye area really clean.
On the plus side, the eye makeup remover is incredibly gentle as claimed, and I have experienced no irritation whatsoever.
This is a nice, gentle eye makeup remover that is good for sensitive skin and is pretty good at removing a lot of eye makeup. If you regularly wear heavy duty eye makeup, however, you may want to look elsewhere.
***Why I want the product***
After my bottle of Simple Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover ran out, instead of re-purchasing I decided to try a new one, although I would re-purchase if need be.
Over the years my skin has become sensitive and breakout prone, so trying to find a new product that suits all my facial needs can be a nightmare.
While browsing boots.com and all their different eye makeup removers I came across Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 Makeup Remover.
***About the product***
Garnier is not usually a brand I usually purchase but what I was most drawn into with this product was their three points on the bottle.
* No perfume
* No alcohol and
* No rubbing
The three points sounded perfect for my sensitive skin and the fact it has no alcohol inside is a bigger plus for me.
Garnier say this product is enriched with plant extract and pro-vitamin B5 its 2 in 1 formula with no perfume and no alcohol, combines the efficiency of a make-up removing oil (blue liquid) with the freshness of a cleansing water (clear liquid) in just one step. Leaving no residue, your skin feels soft and comfortable, with no rubbing!
It is perfect for those with sensitive skin or if your skin feels fragile while cleansing. Soothing Makeup Remover can remove even waterproof mascara while being gentle.
I have noticed a few products have the two phase liquid going on and Garnier Soothing Makeup Remover is one of them. The top blue layer is an oil and is there to remove all traces of makeup. While the clear liquid is a cleansing water.
The 200ml plastic bottle is simple and clean looking with a pale blue see through bottle in which you can see the product inside. The flip top lid falls seamlessly to the front of the bottle tells you about what the product is while the back tells you about the product and how to use. The bottle can be recycled and the expiry is within six months of opening.
***Applying the product, and how it feels***
Shaking the bottle so you are combining both liquids together, flip the lid and dispense some product onto a dry cotton pad.
The liquid has no fragrance what so ever as stated by Garnier but all ready I can see the oil in the product. Taking the round cotton pad and simply pressing it onto my eye area and gently pressing with the tips of my fingers down onto my lashes so the product can penetrate into my mascara and eye shadow making it easier to lift without rubbing. For review purposes I used two different eye shadows, eyeliner and two coats of none waterproof mascara. After around 15 seconds of gently pressing my finger tips onto my lashes I can begin to see black mascara coming through the cotton pad. Lifting the cotton pad away I can see a perfect outline of my eye makeup and mascara. No eye makeup remover has done that before, gently one wipe takes away all the reminder of eye shadow and a few gently swipes down and up on my lashes takes away all my mascara. Looking in the mirror I am amazed that all my eye makeup have been removed, sometimes I can miss a tiny bit of eyeliner on my bottom lashes but a quick swipe sees it completely removed.
The formulation of the liquid did not irritate or sting my eye area in anyway, nor was I left with red eyes after, I found Garnier Makeup Remover to be very gentle and soothing to my skin and removal of makeup without stripping my skin of moisture.
In the morning I do not worry about looking like a Panda as all my makeup has been thoroughly removed, I also do not wake up with red or irritated eyes.
Garnier say you can also use this as a face makeup remover, I am a person who hates using facial wipes to remove makeup as I always find they never remove it properly, 9 times out of 10 I will wake up with a spot and my face will be drier than before all because of a wipe. So whether I am tired or not I make sure I remove my makeup thoroughly but sometimes you just want something that is quick while doing a good job at the same time and this is where Garnier Makeup Remover comes into play.
With a full face of makeup I have a few times used Garnier Makeup Remover for quickness, soaking my cotton pad with the liquid and sweeping over my face I am surprised to see how easy it is to remove all makeup. After I am happy all makeup has been removed because of the oil content in the remover there is a light oily residue left over but a quick wipe with a toner or water on a cotton pad takes that feeling away so you are left with clean feeling skin.
The product does not irritate, sting or make my skin red in anyway. There is no tight feeling just comfortable skin.
***Price and availability***
I bought my bottle from boots.com for £2.99,
***What I think about it/do I like it?***
It is a great eye and face makeup remover that did not break me out or irritate my sensitive skin in anyway.
My bottle last around three to four months with use every day on my eyes.
***Would I purchase again?***
I would have no problem at all in the future re-purchasing this, in fact I would say I prefer this product so much more than Simple Eye Makeup Remover.
This is a 2 in 1 make up remover from the Garnier brand. It claims to remove even waterproof make up and to be suitable for sensitive skin. It contains no perfume or alcohol either and the product is suitable for the face or eyes.
The product is contained within a flat rounded rectangular bottle. The bottle is made of see through plastic and you can see the product inside. This make up remover is pretty cool to look at in the bottle because it is a mixture of two substances so the bottle is split, the top of the liquid is a mid blue colour and the bottom of the liquid is clear. The lid is made of white plastic and easily flips open revealing a small aperture where the liquid make up remover can be squeezed or tipped out. The front of the package indicates the name of the product and on the back there are directions for use and manufacturer details. We are also told that there is 200ml of product.
You can currently purchase this product for £2.99 in Superdrug.
I would rate this as a pretty good make up remover. I have used better but I don't like paying loads of money for a make up remover and so I've been buying this one regularly as it's at a good price in my opinion and performs well for the price you pay.
The product as I mentioned has two liquids inside it, the blue liquid is the stuff that removes your make up and the clear liquid is essentially cleansing water. To use the product you simply shake the bottle and then tip a bit of the product on to cotton wool pads.
I don't personally use a make up remover on my face as I remove that make up with wipes and then wash my face afterwards (after removing eye make up too). I do however wear mascara every day and quite a lot of it so I need to use an eye make up remover on a regular basis. This make up remover is labelled as sensitive and whilst I don't have sensitive skin I always get a bit weary with using things on the eye area and so I went for the sensitive option as I knew it would be more gentle.
I tend to press the dampened cotton wool pads on my eyes and then gently move them in circular motions around the eye. The prove is on the cotton wool pad afterwards and I would say this make up remover gets rid of 95% of the make up, even with waterproof mascara. It doesn't get rid of every last spec but for the price I think this is ok and a quick wipe with the cleansing wipe I'd already used on my face tends to finish of the job.
The main thing I like about this make up remover is how gentle it is, I often become concerned when purchasing harsher eye make up removers and sometimes find they sting the eye area, with this product I've not experienced that problem. There are definitely better more efficient products out there but for the price I feel this is a good little make up remover.
Overall I would recommend this product if you are looking for a gentle eye make up remover at a decent price. It won't perfectly remove every last spec of eye make up but in my opinion it does a good enough job. 4 stars from me.
This 2 in 1 Makeup remover by Garnier Skin Naturals, claims to remove even waterproof makeup with a formula that combines the efficacy of a makeup removing oil and the freshness of a cleansing water in one gentle product. This cleanser contains plant extract and Pro-vitamin B5 to remove traces of makeup, whilst leaving the skin feeling soothed and gently cleansed. Also this doesn't contain any perfume or alcohol, therefore making it perfect for sensitive skin as there's no harsh ingredients to upset the skin. The product comes in a 200ml clear plastic bottle so you can easily see how much product you have left. The liquid is watery in texture, with the top half of the liquid being blue in colour and the bottom half that looks like water.
The directions on the bottle say to first shake the bottle to thoroughly mix the two liquids together to ensure that both parts are distributed evenly onto a cotton wool pad. The next step is to then wipe the cotton wool pad over the face, as often as needed until all traces of makeup have been removed. The product also claims to do this without leaving a residue on the skin, but instead leaving it feeling soft and supple.
One inconvenience I did find with this product is that, if you're using this to remove makeup, you're most likely going to use more than one or two cotton pads. Why is this inconvenient? Because the two liquids quickly return to their original state after 'mixing', so you do have to close the lid and re-shake the bottle again before using some on a new cotton pad. If you think about it, having to do this several times at least to fully remove all of your makeup, does get slightly annoying. Plus the top of the bottle does feel a little greasy after using because of the blue oily liquid.
So what is my verdict? Well, although I do think this is a good cleanser. It easily removes all traces of makeup without irritating my skin or leaving it feeling dry and tight afterwards. Therefore, definitely good for dry and/or sensitive skin. Also doesn't break me out, and you get plenty of product at an affordable price. And doesn't leave any sign of residue on the skin as promised. However, despite having all these beneficial properties that I look for in a cleanser, I have to say I probably won't repurchase. My main reason being the nature of the product. Although the whole two different coloured liquids in one bottle thing is a good idea, that idea alone should have stopped me buying it. The fact that one liquid happily sits on top of the other, clearly means there is some sort of oil involved. I may have slightly sensitive skin that is prone to drying, but it is also prone to breakouts. Knowing this I should have put the bottle back on th shelf. However I convinced my self that the fact it's supposed to be a really gentle cleanser perfect for sensitive skin, would be reason enough for me to fall in love with this cleanser. After half a bottle gone, I'm sad to say, I didn't fall in love with it. I just didn't feel comfortable using an oil-type cleanser on my face and not washing it off afterwards... Mainly for fear of clogging up pores and causing more breakouts. This is my only problem with the product however, so if this isn't a problem for you then definitely, go ahead and try it.
This make-up has become an essential part of my beauty products that I use regularly. I have first purchased it several months ago on yet another impulse buy. It has also benn on offer which was another reason for purchasing it. I use make-up on a daily basis including weekends so go through a lot of make-up remover and use on a daily basis. Whilst I am not fussed which make up remover I use, I have become really fond of using this one. I always buy it on half-price sale and so it is really good value for money for me for a good quality product.
The lotion comes in a 200ml plastic bottle with the flip top lid. Bottle is light blue in colour. As far as I am aware this is the only size of this cleansing lotion available. Bottle has a sticker on the front advising of the product and its qualities, whilst sticker at the back of the bottle explains direction of use, ingredients and so on.
This cleansing lotion is quite runny in consistency (as you would probably expect from lotion) and is white in colour. The suggested use of this lotion is to use cotton pad soaked in lotion on your face and neck without rubbing. I do use cotton pads to remove my make-up and find that I need to use quite a bit and remove my make-up by circular movements and sometimes rubbing my eyes as well.
To my opinion, this lotion works quite well. I do use eye shadows, eyeliner and few coats of mascara and this lotion can cope with removing all this which could be quite a task. One thing I really like about this lotion and one of the reasons I keep using it is, that I have never experienced any stinging of my eyes. I do wear contact lenses and again never had any problems. I used many different make up removers, some really expensive ones that just used to sting and cause massive irritation to my eyes. Lotion is very soothing on my skin and gets rid of my make-up quite effectively; I do not use waterproof make-up and therefore cannot comment on its performance regarding this. This cleansing lotion do not promise to remove waterproof make up though.
Maybe I will also mention that this lotion is suitable for sensitive skin and contains no perfume, alcohol or colourants.
***Availability & price***
This product is widely available in supermarkets or chemist for around £3 mark depending where you buy it from. I get mine regularly from Sainsbury's where its regularly being reduced to half price.
I do not suffer from sentitive skin or eyes but find the lotion soothing and calming and I would recommend this product to anyone. Taking into account that It is good value for money and can be regularly purchased on a speacial offer, works well for me and doesnt cause any irritation and so i feel it deserves 5/5 for me.
The thing about wearing non-transferable or waterproof make-up is that you need a good make-up remover to take it off with. I like make-up that will stay put from when I put it on in the morning until I take it off at night, so I need a good make-up remover. When I saw the Garnier 2 in 1 for £2.50 at Morrison's (at time of purchase), I thought I'd give it a go.
This product forms part of Garnier's "Simply Essentials" Range and comes in a 200ml bottle that is rectangular with rounded sides and shoulders, and a flip top cap that covers the opening where you dispense the product. On the front, it tells you it contains Plant Extract + Pro-vitamin B5, that it has no perfume or alcohol and that it is suitable for even sensitive skin. It states it is dermatologically and opthalmologically tested so it can be used for removing facial and eye make-up. In the bottom left corner of the label on the front is a picture of a blue rose. On the reverse, it asks the reader if the product is right for you, then sets out three reasons as to why it is. The reasons are:
If your skin feels fragile when cleansing.
If changes in temperature, fatigue or stress levels leave skin feeling more sensitive.
If you have sensitive skin and are looking for effective make-up removal.
Also listed are the ingredients. The reverse is very busy, full of information - including the website address for further information, as well as the telephone number for a skin care advice line.
This product comes in 2 phases. At the bottom is a pale blue toning liquid with a darker blue liquid floating on top. This top layer is oil-based and is the cleansing aspect of the make-up remover. Directions state to shake the bottle well and then soak cotton wool before applying to face. In sweeping motions I used the sodden cotton wool pad to remove make-up from my eyelids, cheeks and then forehead and nose. There was quite a lot of my make-up on the pad. Following the directions again I used the pad until there was no more make-up on my face. One small complaint: I did have to fold the damp cotton wool in half and pinch over my eyelashes to scrape off the rest of my mascara, otherwise this product works quickly and well.
In spite of having an oil-based layer, my skin did not feel greasy after use and, with normal eye cream and moisturiser on top actually felt smooth. The following morning my skin was not greasy at all and my make-up sat quite happily on top of it.
Using the product over the course of several days I have noticed that I do need a little more moisturiser than normal for some areas of my face, but that isn't too much of an issue for me. You do need to use quite a bit of product to soak the cotton wool so I can see that it could be used up quite quickly.
The scent is fairly nondescript. There is a faint smell which doesn't smell natural but isn't unpleasant at all. I would prefer it to have a little bit of a scent to it - that is just personal taste though.
Garnier make up remover contains plant extract and soothing pro-vitamin B5 in a 2 in 1 formula. There is a blue liquid and a white liquid, before use you have to shake the bottle to mix the two well together. The blue liquid is the make up removing oil and the white liquid is the cleansing water, so the two need to be mixed together well. This is designed for use on both eye make up and any other make up, however I only use this on my eyes and use another cleanser afterwards for the rest of my face. I find a residue is left around my eyes so would not like to use this all over my face.
The bottle is clear plastic and 200ml, it is quite a simple design which i like. The lid is a simple flip lid.
On a night time when removing make up I use this product first, I tip the bottle to get some of the liquid onto cotton wool pad and wipe across the eye. The cotton pad can be held on the eye for a few seconds to help in removing eye make up gently. This generally has to be done a number of times but this will depend on how much eye make up you wear. My one problem with the product is that when tipping some liquid onto a cotton pad it is really hard to control how much comes out which has resulted in me losing more of the solution than I should have.
Where to buy and price
As with many products such as this you can often find good deals instore but some of the places to buy with prices are:-
Asda - £2.99
Tesco - £2.99
Boots - £2.99 (worth looking out for 3 for 2 promotion)
Superdrug - £1.99
My overall opinion
I love the actual remover but in a different bottle would be much better. This is great for eye make up but I have personally never used it on other make up. I have recently got a new waterproof mascara which has been impossible to remove with anything else but this works really well. If there was a great offer on I would buy it again, but if the bottle was different I would definietly buy it. Overall, I think this eye make up remover is worth trying
Buying make-up remover on the high street can be a bit of a minefield. Some are just for "eye make-up", some contain alcohol or fragrances, and some are way too expensive for a poor old students budget. Over the last year I have tried 3/4 different brands. My latest make-up remover was actually bought for me by my Mum, so I had some at home and didn't need to cart my current one back from uni with me.
Garnier Skin Naturals with plant extract + pro vitamin B5, claims to be a 2 in 1 make-up remover, containing no perfume and alcohol, and is also suitable for sensitive skin.
Is Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-up remover right for me?
Yes, if your skin feels fragile when cleansing.
Yes, if changes in temperature, fatigue or stress leave your skin feeling more sensitive.
Yes, if you have sensitive skin and are looking for effective make-up removal.
Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-up remover contains Plant Extract and Soothing Pro-vitamin B5 in a 2 in 1 formula which combines the efficacy of a make-up removing oil (blue liquid) with the freshness of a cleansing water (clear liquid) in a single express wipe.
The bottle has two liquids, a blue and a clear one, which you must shake quite well in order to mix the two solutions to then use to remove your make-up. As it has a watery consistency, you need to apply it to a cotton pad or facewipe in order to use it.
My personal preference is to have a creamier make-up remover which I can apply over the face and then wipe/rinse off. Needless to say, this liquidy consistency is a little tricky to remove all traces of my foundation evenly. However, my foundation is a heavy liquid foundation. I would say for lighter make-up, such as powders, blushers, eyeshadows etc, this would probably be adequate in removing all the make-up.
When applied to my foundation, it almost melts it into a white coloured formula, looking a bit like I had used soap. It has quite a pleasant smell to it, nothing too "fragranty" or overbearing, more a smell I would associate with Clinique products (without the alcohol).
After using this product, in my case with heavy make-up, I feel as if not all traces have been removed, so I like to use a good cleansing product afterwards, or perhaps an exfoliator and rinse thoroughly to make sure every trace has been removed. This is really my problem with liquid make-up removers, as they can be difficult to distribute across all the skin without simply running down my face. Using a cotton pad or facewipe is the best method with this product, however it all depends how you prefer to remove your make-up.
I also noticed it does leave a bit of residue on my skin once I have used it. This could be all the vitamin infusions it claims to have, however it's not a feeling I like on my skin, as it feels slightly oily. Although it's not majorly annoying, I always have to give my face a good rinse afterwards.
As for the packaging, the bottle is a light, translucent plastic. It's quite light to pick up, and certainly would be ideal for travelling with. The lid is a simple flip-up design, which seems quite secure however I prefer a screw-cap lid which can be tightened, especially if you are taking it on the move and there's a chance it could leak or spill. However for sitting on my shelf, I have no problem with it.
This make-up remover retails for an average of £2.99 in Superdrug and Boots (although some online stores offer it slightly cheaper). This is for a 200ml bottle, and as far as I am aware this is the only size available. I would say overall this is quite a fair price, as other brands can total twice that. It's not the best make-up remover I have used, however works adequately well, and does not irritate my skin. I would recommend this to those who prefer liquid removers over the creamier, thicker ones, especially if you don't wear a lot of make-up. I think 3 stars is the appropriate rating for this product as it works well, but not fantastically, although contains vitamins and is a reasonable price.
