Advantages: Coats every single lash, for that "doe-eyed" look

Disadvantages: Extremely pricey for a mascara

I am a make up junkie, and when I saw the ridiculous / unusual shape of this mascara brush, I just knew I had to try it.

It cost £18.50 in Debenhams, which I think is terribly expensive for a mascara, but I was so curious at the design that I would have been willing to take out a loan just to try it!

My first impressions of this mascara was that it is very time consuming to use. Being so different to a conventional mascara, it does take some getting used to, and even then it will take longer to apply.

Having said that, the effect is amazing. The spike-ball shaped brush really does allow you to reach all the way from the root of your eyelash to the tip - without leaving more mascara on your skin than your lashes, which is the problem I normally get when trying to get close to the roots. Because the brush is quite small, you can get at your lashes from virtually any angle, allowing you to coat them on all sides.

Even my boyfriend compliments my eyes when I wear this mascara, it gives a really pretty doe-eyed effect, if you use it on the top and bottom lashes. As it makes it easy to reach all your lashes, even the tiny ones, it has the effect of framing your eyes with a ring of lashes. One coat is sufficient for well defined, stand out lashes, but I tend to wear two if I'm going out or am wearing dark eye-shadow.

I'm notoriously fussy about mascaras, and buy a different one every time, never quite being satisfied with my last one - but I've recently purchased a second one of these, so it must be good!

Would definitely recommend this - shame it's so pricey, but it really is worth every penny, for show stopping peepers! As far as I'm aware it is only available in black and brown, but I'm keeping my eyes open (no pun intended) in case they decide to make it in different colours - that would be amazing!

Summary: Lovely mascara, brilliantly bonkers brush!
