I came across this lipgloss in Boots around six months ago. It was part of a promotion at the time which meant that I got it half price.
The retail price is £8.69 for 17ml and it is available from boots, superdrug, amazon and a variety of other shops and websites. It is available in a huge range of different colours - 13 to be exact and I have it in 'tempting pink' which is a nice shade of pink.
It is quite a dark shade of pink, but still very bright and girly and although I don't usually like wearing pink lipsticks and lipglosses I thought that it would go well with my skin tone and look more natural than the other colours, most of which were darker shades such as purples and oranges. L'oreal claim that the lipgloss stays shiny and in place for six hours and say that just one sweep will leave lips looking glossy and plump.
The packaging is quite nice and the wand has a little foam applicator attached to it. Although the applicator is slanted I still find it doesn't apply the product very evenly as the formula is so thick, so I tend to wipe away any excess from the applicator before applying it.
The lipgloss has got quite a sticky, thick formula which smells sweet which I'm not keen on as the smell is a little sickly with a plasticy undertone to it - it's not a natural, subtle or particularly pleasant smell and it smells kind of cheap in my opinion. The glitter in the lipgloss isn't subtle, it's very noticeable so it doesn't look natural. I think this would appeal to young girls who are just starting to experiment with make-up or women who like very OTT make-up, but for someone like me who likes the natural, subtle look it is not really suitable.
It feels wet, heavy, sticky and gloopy on my lips with the colour looking quite un-natural, especially against my skin tone. Once the lipgloss has dried (this takes longer than most of the other lipglosses I have because its thick) it feels drying and after a while when it is completely dry it highlights any dryness or cracks in my lips, so it needs re-applying often. My lips always look bigger whenever I have this lipgloss on because of the glitter (optical illusion) but the look is over the top and doesn't look right unless i have a full face of make-up.
It doesn't last for six hours and on the few occasions that I have worn it I found that the colour became completely faded after around two to three hours, and it didn't stay in place when I was eating & drinking - it became worn away in places and just looked messy so on a couple of occasions rather than re-applying it I just wiped it off.
All in all I wouldn't recommend this lipgloss. Considering the price it is not very good quality and it doesn't live up to the claims. Two out of five stars.
I wear and own many make and colours of lip gloss. I love wearing lip gloss as it adds colour and sparkle to my lips.
Loreal Glam Shine is the first Loreal lipgloss I've owned. The consistency of the gloss is thicker than any other lip gloss I've worn before. I think the difference in consistency is which allows the lip gloss to stay on the lips longer than any other lip gloss. The gloss does stay on the lips for 6 hours as it claims, however I do feel it loses it's shine after a couple of hours.
The Loreal Website states:
"The Shine FixTM technology creates a resistant film over the lips to help the product stay in place for up to 6 hours." This formula is protected by 4 patents.
The other major difference between this product and any other is the Heart Shaped Wand. The heart shaped wand allows more gloss to be stored on the wand, and easily glide on the lips. The wand also helps the application of gloss on the upper lips.
The lip gloss comes in 15 shades:
1 Endless Light
004 Immortal Pearl
112 Keep the Sweet
104 Amber Fidelity
300 Golden Tattoo
103 Forever Nude
102 Always Pink
106 Forever Young
113 Perennial Rose
201 Royal Wide Rose
304 Copper Gold
105 Hold on Rose
302 Cinnamon Addict
501 Purple Obsession
Usually if you're lucky you can get a good deal at boots for this product. However the RRP is £8.69.
I currently own 2 of the darker shades as they are great for a good night out (as you don't know multiple applications.
The only negative about this product is that after a few times of use the gloss does tend to slightly leak out of the top when you close the top.
After seeing Cheryl Cole on the advert for this product I was under the illusion that I would suddenly become super glamorous after purchasing this lip gloss. So I did exactly that, even though I didn't suddenly transform into a glamour puss, but I was impressed with the effects of this product.
This retails at £8.69 from Boots and Superdrug, for that price you get 6mls of product. This is extremely pricey for a lip gloss. The cosmetics industry is a very competitive market, and with the current economic climate being as it is I was surprised to find out the price of this, because it's hardly very competitive or affordable for everyone.
There are multiple shades available, such as: Always Pink, Immortal Pearl, Infinite Desert, Keep the Sweet, Fresh Fuchsia, Fresh Cassis, Fresh Grenadine, Fresh Lemon Tonic, Fresh Tangerine, Hold-on Rose, Loyal Wild Rose, Golden Tattoo, and Purple Obsession.
The colour I bought is Perennial Rose, but it doesn't seem to be listed on the Boots website. I don't know whether this means they don't sell it online, or whether they just don't stock that shade anymore.
The tube is made from thick transparent plastic, with a clear screw off lid. The lid has a silver strip running through it, which I think makes it look quite cheap, which it certainly isn't! The wand has a sponge applicator which is in a 'heart shape'. I think it looks more like a deformed tear drop, but whatever. It has a small hole in the middle, which is totally pointless as all it does it get clogged up with the product. The sponge is angled slightly, which is meant for easier application. Because of the funny angled sponge, when removing the wand from the bottle it only removes the excess product from one side. This means you have to manually wipe the other side, to stop you from putting too much on your lips.
Once you have wiped it, it has the right amount of product on for one application.
The wand's shape helps you get right to the edge of your cupids bow bit on your lips, which is rather useful. This means that you don't have to awkwardly rub your lips together trying to spread the gloss. The sponge is quite large so you only need one sweep over each lip, for full coverage and spread.
The lip gloss is quite thick and a little bit sticky at first, especially if you use too much product. Its consistency means that it doesn't sink into any lines around your mouth, but it also means that it just sits on the surface of your lips instead of drying or soaking in. This results in the lip gloss going everywhere that your lips touch. I have had problems with it going on my teeth when I talk, which never looks good, so just be careful!
It leaves your lips noticeably glossy and shiny, and the light reflects off it nicely. The lip gloss is glittery, for added glamour, at first I wasn't too keen, because I thought it would look tacky, but it actually adds to the shine, and has a nice effect.
Because of the glittery bits, it isn't really very smooth on your lips; it can be a little bit abrasive if you rub your lips together.
The gloss has a nice fragrance, I can't identify it, but I was nicely natural and not at all chemical. In my opinion the lip gloss doesn't taste of anything in particular.
The name of the lip gloss suggests that the lip gloss will last on your lips for 6 hours. I had never really noticed how long it lasts for, but testing it for this review I noticed that this claim is true. This is brilliant because re-application isn't necessary frequently.
The only complaint I have with this claim is that if you eat or drink it can go funny on your lips. I found that it started to turn 'bitty' and sticky. This wasn't nice, so I ended up rubbing it off.
To remove this product can be a pain, if you still have some left on your lips it will take a bit of scrubbing with make-up remover to take it off.
In conclusion I was impressed that this product actually lasted, so I have awarded it 4 out of 5 stars. I think the packaging could be better, and it could soak in nicer. But, it's still a good rating from me. I would recommend.
You can visit www.boots.co.uk or www.superdrug.co.uk to order, or to find out more information.
Thank you for reading this review, I hope it was of some use to you!

L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine 6hr Volumizer lip gloss is available in several different shades, too many too list here! I have shade 108 'Forever Sweet' which is a light pink colour. The main thing that attracted me to this lip gloss was the shine, as it looks very sparkly in the tub.
I bought this around a year ago and I am just running out of this now. I haven't used it everyday otherwise I'm pretty sure I would have ran out of this a long time ago! I am not a big lip gloss wearer and have recently started to wear lipstick more simply because it stays on your lips for longer than lip gloss does, and I hate having to reapply make-up all of the time. I was hoping this '6 hour' lipgloss would prevent me from having to reapply it all the time but unfortunately - it does not!
This lip gloss is supposed to be L'Oreal's first lip gloss that shines for up to 6 hours, and so I did have high hopes for this when I bought it, especially as I know L'Oreal is a trustworthy brand and I have liked most of their products that I have used in the past. However, I don't think it even lasts for half of this time.
I do believe they are correct in stating that just one sweep is enough to achieve plump, gloss looking lips, but it just has no long staying power. Therefore, if you wanted to buy this because it supposedly lasts for up to 6 hours on the lips, then I wouldn't. I have yet to find a lip gloss that actually does last for this length of time.
I do like how shiny this product leaves my lips looking though, and it leaves a nice slight hint of colour. It also leaves my lips looking very plumped which I am pleased about. A lot of lip glosses state that they do this but infact don't, and this is one of the only lip glosses I have came across that can do this, even better as it is just from one sweep! As it only takes one sweep when applying this then it doesn't leave your lips feeling too sticky either.
Overall I do like this product because it does leave a 'glam shine' and there are a lot of shades to choose from, but I am just disappointed that it doesn't actually last for nowhere near 6 hours. Therefore I do think that £8.19 is a lot to pay for this product and so would only purchase this again if it was on offer.
This is available from Boots, Superdrug and any other retailers that stock L'Oreal products.
My have used many lip-glosses from many brands. Usually I'm not that fussy about what colour or brand to use as my main purpose is to keep my lips moisturised, otherwise I get cracked lips and bleeding. This L'Oreal glam shine lip gloss was actually part of the free gift sets they were giving out if you buy two or more products (I was shopping for presents actually). I saw the advert and was quite surprised they actually included this as part of the gift set.
From the appearance, it looks very sleek and glittery. The tube itself is about 6 inches tall with a curvy finish to it. One problem with it that the tube is a bit too big to fit in my tiny makeup pouch that I usually use for night outs. Size wise, it is even larger than most lipsticks so the design isn't that appealing to me.
The colour I have got is 204 Oriental Fuschia and appears very deep pink. The lip gloss itself has got too many glitters so it is not very good to use casually. The colour is very lovely though. I usually wear a layer of lip stick and wear lip gloss on top as I find that the colour stays for at least 4 hours this way. However for this one, I have to wear on its own because the lip gloss colour itself is very deep. It has a lovely candy-sweet smell when applied to your lips.
Nevertheless, after about 2 or 3 hours, provided you don't eat or drink much during this period, the lip gloss starts to feel a bit thick and gathers around the edges. However I think this happens with most lip glosses anyway. As for their rather proud declaration that this lasts for 6 hours, I have to respectfully disagree. Maybe it will last for 6 hours without any activities. Nevertheless, it would be a torture to go without eating or drinking for 6 hours. So from my experience, the longest it has lasted was about 3 to 3 and a half hours. Also over time, the colour gets paler and loses its shine.
This product is available in a variety of colours but I don't think the colour I have is on sale anymore. I have just checked Boots and they don't have it. It is usually sold for around £8.50 but you can probably get it cheaper buying it online. Overall, it is not the best lip gloss but it's not the worse. So if you're looking for a bit of glitter and shine for a night out, this might be a good buy.
I feel like I have owned a million and one lipglosses, yet had never owned a L'Oreal until a couple of weeks ago. I found the Glam Shine 6 Hr lip gloss for a bargain £2.99 (in Boots currently they are £8.69!) in a local bargain basement store. The title may look a bit negative but this lipgloss does have lots of really good things about it.
The colour I bought was 107 Eternal Beige, according to L'Oreal this shade is still available, but there's no sign of this shade on Boots or Superdrug's websites.
The packaging I have to admit, I am not mad on, it looks cheap from the print, and the curvy shape to the main bottle, which is a big plastic crystal with silver running through it. It reminds me a little bit of the lids on Juicy Couture perfumes, yes I can see the appeal, but at the same time, they just look tacky. Another thing, this lipgloss is quite tall, with a top heavy centre of gravity, so will easily fall over if you happen to knock it. Not my favourite, but I'm more interested in what's inside that slightly tacky looking bottle.
So to the applicator, I have a bit of a love/ hate relationship with this one, it's a heart shape with an indent near the base, and is angled at approximately 30 degrees. As this is a bit alien, and still is to me, I will always have a mirror on hand when applying this one. The sponge applicator picks up the right amount of product, not too sheer, nor do you look to lipgloss heavy. The size of the applicator means you get decent coverage, and the excellent thing, about the tip of the heart wand is you can get a really precise finish on the edge of the lips and your cupid's bow. The initial problems I had were knowing which way to hold the wand, when applying, the bottom lip seemed easier initially as this seemed to be at a more natural angle for my hand. However, I did get the hang of putting this one on my top lip eventually, the flexibility in the applicator made it easier to apply, and if anything surprised me. On my first attempt, I applied too much pressure, bending the applicator right back, resulting in lipgloss all over my face, looking like a young girl that had raided her Mum's make up bag for the first time.
What about the lip gloss itself? I first have to congratulate L'Oreal on the scent of this one it's quite marshmallowy, a bit synthetic, but with a lot of marshmallow, which I love. I did lick this one off my lips hoping it would taste like marshmallows, sadly it doesn't and it didn't really taste of anything. So I have the colour Endless Beige, what I don't understand is Endless Beige is more of a pink-nude than a beige nude, in fact 103 Forever Nude, was more beige than this one. The name aside, pigmentation is average to good for a lip gloss in this price bracket, and the formula is not too slippery or too sticky, a little tacky, but nothing that is going to cause your lips to stick together when you talk.
L'Oreal say this Glam Shine can wear for six hours, and this is one of the first make-up claims I can agree with. Admittedly, if you are having a lot of drinks or eating it won't last six, but general wear this should get close to six. I did try a glass test after just applying, it does leave a little residue, but not much, so if you have lost any gloss, it's not actually noticeable on the lips. When wearing, I didn't find the lip gloss drying or particularly moisturising, however neither does it claim to be. As this gloss is quite well-wearing removal will require a wet-wipe or make up removing wipe, a plain old tissue won't quite cut it with this one.
There are so many good things about this lip gloss what is my main gripe. This so called 'Glam Shine'. Well, I'd call it shine, and lots of it but it isn't glamorous. Even in the tube, large chunky silver glitter is evident, and when you put this on your lips this becomes even more noticeable, and I'm afraid it just looks a bit dare I say it, cheap. In fact, I have never seen so much glitter in any lip gloss. To some, it may look like you picked up a tube of silver glitter glue and not a semi-pricey lipgloss. Personally I think glitter is hard to wear at the best of times, it means other areas of your make-up have to be really toned down, with not too much shimmer, if you don't want to look like a disco ball. For these reasons, I think this lipgloss is definitely an evening/ night and not a day lipgloss, and certainly with this colour would suit those under the age of thirty.
Another issue many have with L'Oreal is the extent to which they test on animals. I don't agree with testing on animals, however I have to agree that in some cases it is a necessary evil, and there would be an outrage if a human cosmetics trial was to cause adverse consequences.
Would I recommend this? If you're in the market to spend £9 on a lip gloss, and you have the guts to carry off a very sparkling lipgloss then this one isn't a bad bet. If you want real glam shine without the glitter, No. 7 high shine wipes this floor with this one for 30 p more, the pigmentation is better, you get more mls for your money and it has the added bonus of SPF 15.
I love almost everything about this lip gloss I could forgive the dodgy packaging, as it did wear extremely well, but I knock 2* s off for the simply unwearable amount of glitter in this product.
~Does your Glam Shine work like a dream?~
The first time I used one of the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss products was when I was lucky enough to pick up a few of the gift with purchase sets that were on offer if you spent a certain amount on L'Oreal products. Until then I hadn't been overly keen to try this lip gloss as I was making my way through a number of other products, so a bunch of new lip glosses wasn't really on the cards. As I had bought a good deal of other L'Oreal products I was able to pick up some of the gift sets which had a number of nice L'Oreal make up products in them including some L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss.
The colour of my L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss was Perennial Rose and once I set eyes on the lovely slightly shimmery looking colour I was pleased with the glossy sheen it had. As I had 3 gift sets it meant I had 3 of the same shade of lip gloss and I did plan to share them at first....until I used a little of my first one that is. After that I liked the way the lovely rose toned colour looked and decided to keep all 3 free L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Glosses. I have since used a number of other glosses from the same group such as the new Glam Shine Reflexion Gloss the Glam Shine Diamant Gloss and the Glam SHine 6 Hour Volumizer Gloss and all seem reasonably good.
~Whats so special about Glam Shine 6 Hour Gloss?~
The L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Glosses come nicely packed in long angular shaped containers that are nipped in at the waist. They have a 4 sided shape to them and can be stood upright on their bases with a little effort if wanted although mine tend to be thrown into my ever over flowing make up bag for most of their lives. The clear plastic used to make up the gloss container gives you a chance to see the shade that you have picked out in a way that makes it look near enough how it will look when on bare lips. I feel the clear cases are useful not only for that reason, as it is also useful to be able to see just how much product is left in the case so you can judge when to splash out on a new one if needed.
The lid of the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss containers sits on nicely and makes a good seal that closes down well when in place although I do find that over time this can become a little sludgy as small amounts of the gloss seem to end up clinging to the the top inner part of the lid and the top of the screw top lip gloss container. A quick wipe over with a clean tissue is generally all I find is needed in order to sort that out and as this does happen with most similar gloss type products I don't feel it is a major issue. The best part of the product container has to be the applicator as it is really nicely shaped and very easy to use in the main. The applicator is not a brush type as it is made from a soft textured foamy material that is meant to be shaped into a teeny heart type of thing.
When using the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss the heart shaped applicator is nice to use as it is soft enough not to cause any rubbing or scratching on the skin and it picks up a really generous amount of the lip gloss each time it gets dipped into the lip gloss container. The applicator is on a slim wand that has a certain amount of flex to it which makes for ease of use and the small foamy heart part seems to have a series of super teeny hairs on it, that mostly help to make sure the gloss goes on nice and smoothly with an even coverage. The only minor down side with this is that sometimes the applicator can pick up a little too much gloss, although that is not much of a problem as you can simply put the wand back into the container and then ease it out pressing it against one side of the case which should ensure there is less gloss on it.
~Can Glam Shine last for a 6 full hours?~
The statement that L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss can really stay on your lips for a whole 6 hours is a very bold one that I feel is over egging the pudding a little. The so called 'Shine Fix' element within the product is meant to be able to help the gloss stay on your lips for up to 6 hours, as it creates filmy covering that is there to protect the colour and keep the gloss in place. In real life I have found that there does tend to be a filmy feel to the gloss that begins to annoy me after a few hours of wear as it thickens up to the point that it can sometimes feel too thick. This can be so annoying that I end up having to take the whole lot off and re do it as I ma not keen on the feel at all.
That said if the filmy effect is what is meant to happen with the gloss then it is doing what it was designed to do, however I am not keen on the over clingy and claggy lip gloss feel, so most often will take it all off and re apply it from scratch after 3 to 4 hours regardless of those claims. I have found that many similar products can have that kind of feel after a few hours wear, for example I find that Soap & Glorys Sexy Mother Pucker does the same thing and in the end if I have applied it over the 2 sided lip pencil that you get in the S&G lip set, it can drive me mad and needs to be taken off and re applied. As the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss is not alone in having that same over thick filmy feel after a few hours on the lips, I feel it is just what happens with this type of thick glossy style lip product over time and is not some thing that would put me off buying it.
~Price and rating~
In summary I feel that over all I do like this lip gloss as it goes on nice and evenly when freshly applied and will stay in place for a good length of time, although I have found that it can become gloopy and claggy after a time. The fact that it can stay on the lips well, possibly for as long as 6 hours sounds good although due to my habit of taking off my lippy in order to reapply it after a few hours, I do rather feel the 6 hour aspect is slightly wasted. Even so I feel the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Gloss has plenty about that I like, with a nice range of varied colours to suit a good number of make up looks.
The price per 17mls of product is likely to cost from £4.99 at some online stores upwards towards £8.19 which is what it costs in many high street stores and as such it is not a cheap buy although it offers better value than some of the the premium brand glosses, as it will stay on for some time before you need to re apply it. When I think about the pros and cons of using the L'Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Lip Glosses on the whole I feel that they are quite nice and so I want to give them a 4 star rating.
I had been using L'Oreal's regular Glam Shine gloss for a while when I decided to try the 6hr version. I found that the original lasted very well, so the thought of one that would last even longer was a bonus. I ordered this online - I don't remember where from now as it was a while ago - but I remember being very disappointed when it arrived as the colour was nothing like the picture. I should have sent it back really but just put it down to experience and am more careful when ordering make-up online these days.
Unlike the standard Glam Shine which comes in a short, rounded tube, this one comes in a tall, squarish shaped tube. Although this one takes up more room in my make-up bag, I feel it is the better looking tube of the two as the silvery accents on it make it look quite special. Although differing shapes, one thing this does have in common with the original is the heart shaped applicator.
The gloss is very easy to apply to the lips, and I find it is a slightly thinner consistency than the original glam shine. It goes onto the lips very smoothly and the pointed tip of the heart shaped wand makes it easy to apply precisely.
The L'Oreal website shows 20 colour options and the one I have is called mocha obsession. It's no longer listed which makes me think it must have been discontinued. That wouldn't surprise me as it looks a very dark brown in the tube, and that put me off using it at first. I think I actually owned this for around two months before I even tried it out. When I finally did apply it, I was surprised (but also quite relieved) that the colour on the lips looked a lot subtler and much more natural than it did in the tube. Whilst this was a good thing for me, if you're looking for a very strong and intense colour then perhaps this would not be the best gloss for you.
I was also surprised at how shimmery the gloss is, as it has quite an intense sparkle, and the shimmer is fairly iridescent too. As I only own one of these, I can't comment on how shimmery the other shades are, but the sparkle in this one for me makes it definitely more of a night time gloss, and a bit too glitzy for daytime wear.
The gloss feels light on the lips, and although it has a different consistency to the original glam shine, I didn't find it to be sticky at all.
I suppose the important question with this product is 'does it last six hours?'. Well, unfortunately no, I don't think it does. I find that it lasts less than an hour, and that's without even eating or drinking! The moment you eat something or have a drink you should be prepared to lose the lot! This was really disappointing to me - especially as this was a product that has been adapted to last longer and ironically lasts nowhere near as long as the original.
Prices of this product vary depending on where you buy it. Boots are charging £8.19 for this which I feel is quite expensive for a gloss. It can, however, be found online for around the £5 mark.
Overall I was really disappointed in this gloss. It looks OK on, but it doesn't last which is the main selling point of the gloss. I won't buy this again, I'll stick to the original which is much better.
I received the L'Oreal six hour glam shine lip gloss in a free gift at Boots last year when I had spent over a certain amount on the L'Oreal range. The lip gloss I received was the unlimited red colour.
The lip gloss comes in a stylish looking bottle which has a slight curve to it in the middle which makes it easy to hold. The bottle has a silvery lid which really catches the light and has a lovely shine to it. On the main part of the bottle there is silver writing which has the name of the product. I think the product looks nice and would not look out of place in your handbag on a night out.
As I mentioned already I received this lip gloss product in a free gift but for the purpose of this review I searched for the price and can inform you that you can buy a 6ml bottle for £4.75 on amazon.
The unlimited red shade that I own is visible through the bottle and I would advise that it is not a very deep red shade but more of a mid tone with little flecks of gold within it.
When you twist off the lid and pull it you will see the heart shaped want applicator which is attached to the lid. I find that for me it is best to just wipe the applicator on the rim of the bottle as I don't like to apply much lip gloss. The gloss is very easily applied with the applicator and then I simply blend slightly with my finger-this is of course my personal choice and not something you need to do.
I find that the lip gloss gives my lips quite a noticeable colour and shine. The gloss doesn't feel too sticky which is a huge positive for me as I am not a great fan of lip glosses as a rule as they are notoriously sticky!
The lip gloss claims to last for six hours and I can't say it lasts that long on me! It transfers to my glass as I drink throughout the day etc. Despite this I do think the product is quite good as the packaging is nice, the colour isn't too "in your face" and the end result isn't super sticky lips! For this reason I award it four stars!
Thank you for reading my review!
Loreal has by far the best cosmetic products available in the market in average price range.
I have tried many of their lip products- from old fashioned lipsticks to lip glosses and I have found them to be the best i have used when compared to Maybelline, Revlon etc etc.
Last year I bought Loreal's 6 hour glam shine lip gloss from Tesco for approx £7. It was loreal's first gloss that shines for up to 6 hours! I used to like the lipsticks better because they stayed for longer. So I was hesitant to buy one of these for £7. But read one of the reviews here and tried the tester and finally bought it. I was quite amazed as to how long this lip gloss stays on your lips. It didn't stay for 6 hours but did a better job than many others.
The shape of the bottle is easy to hold. the applicator brush is tear drop shaped with a hole in middle- don't know its purpose but works well. Since the tip of the brush is sharp, you can apply to the lip edges too.
The lip gloss itself is nice and shiny- has the diamond sparkly look to it- makes the lips looks a little fuller!!! Only problem is that when the gloss wears off, the shiny bits stay on and when washed you can find some still sparkling around your mouth.
But this is not a big issue when compared to how well it looks. I have bought a couple more after that and has become an essential in my handbag now.
I really like this lip gloss but don't think it lasts for 6 hours.
I paid about £5 for this lip gloss which is a reasonable price as it does last a long time. I have it in a nice pinky red colour and it looks lovely and shiny.
One of the best things about it is the heart shaped wand as it makes it very easy to apply as it fits to the shape of lips and is quick to apply.
I really like the fact that when I applied it is not too sticky as some lipglosses can be. It makes my lips feel soft and very smooth and shiny. It is a lovely colour which is definately glamorous and stands out as it has a slight sparkle to it which is nice but not over the top.
The only thing that lets it down in my opinion is that it says 6 hour on the tube but for me it did not last 6 hours. I do think it lasts better than other lipglosses I have tried and I could still feel it on after an hour or two but definately not for 6 hours.
All things considered it is the one of the best lipglosses I have tried and looks really good so I would definately recommend it.
This review is one the L'Oreal lip gloss, Glam shine volumizer. Even since I got this, which was only a few days ago, I have not stopped wearing it. And I would go as far to say that it may be my favourite lip gloss ever!
Now having said that this lip gloss is quite expensive compared to other lip-gloss's I usually buy. Meaning that for me they aren't going to be something I can afford to purchase all the time. The are priced at £7.99 at most shops and I haven't seen them any where else for cheaper.
The shade I bought was 404 Everlasting Melon. This colour looks very orange in the tube, but once applied it isn't. I don't normally go for colour like this, I usually opt for pinks and reds, but something about this colour drew me to it.
So for me to really like a lip-gloss it has to smell really good as well. I know that not all lip-gloss's smell great, but the more it smells nice, that more I use that particular gloss. And I have to say that this Lip-gloss smells great. I can't really describe the smell, but it has a fruity, sweet smell to it, which is lovely!
The colour of the lip-gloss itself when applied is very strong, which is something I like. The texture of this lip-gloss is not that glossy and wet, which is why it does stay on your lips for so long. And when I say long, I mean really long. I don't think I have ever tried any other lip gloss that has such a great staying power. When you first apply the gloss, the thing you will notice about it is that it is very sticky. And I am one of these people who doesn't like sticky lip-gloss's all that much, but I do like this one because the stickiness is I guess what keeps it on your lips for so long.
I would defiantly recommend this product to all of my friends and I will, once I have saved up some money, be going out to buy the other shades.
I've used this lip gloss on a daily basis for the past 3 or so years and I would say out of all the lip glosses I've used, this has been the best and most long-lasting. It says it lasts for 6 hours and I would say that some days it does in fact last that long, even after eating a meal! However, on other days it does not always last that long so it may depend what you have been doing during the day. It has a heart-shaped wand for good coverage and L'Oreal offers a good range of colours so there are plenty of choices to suit different likes and skin tones.
I downside to this lipgloss is the fact that it is a little sticky to begin with and there have been many windy days when my hair has been blowing in my face and sticking to my lips! The biggest problem I have found is that I often get lip gloss on my teeth. Nearly every day my friends tell me to check in the mirror as it's on my front teeth. Nevertheless, I still wear the lip gloss on a day-to-day basis so this isn't too much of a problem. Some may argue that the price is a little high at around £7. This may be so but I find that you do have to pay quite a bit for good quality lip gloss.
The lip gloss is certainly a good purchase as it is long-lasting and not to wet or dry on my lips, as there is plenty of moisture.
L'Oreal 6H glam shine lip gloss is meant to give you 6 hours of plumped up shiny glossy lips. The applicator is 'heart shaped' which is designed to give perfect coverage. L'Oreal use there own Shine Fix technology which is suppost put a resistant film on your lips to keep the gloss in place. Each gloss costs £7.99 for 6ml. They come in nudes, pinks, reds and browns something for everyone.
Well what can I say 'I get in a mess with this' would probably be the best way to describe it. Applying it I am fine it looks great when I apply and is ok for the first 30minutes then the problems start. I find its really sticky then I end up with very unattractive sticky patches in the corners of my mouth which make me look like I have been eating pritt stick and it also gets all on my teeth and I have to scratch it off! Not ideal for a night out lol. I know other reviews say its not sticky I don't know whether maybe they react to different lip kinds like foundation reacts differently on different skins. My lips are not particularly dry so I can't say its dry lips causing my sticky problem but something does not agree with me. The taste is not particularly wonderful either it has a menthol tinge to it which I am not keen on but again some people are.
Not a lipgloss for me but it may be perfect for others.
Whenever a product says it lasts all day (or 6 hours for that matter) I have to take it with a pinch of salt!
So when I decided to buy this lip gloss it was because I liked the colour rather than I expected long lasting results. The shade I bought was 505- Everlasting Red. I have a serious addiction to red lippy and gloss and I have to say this is one of the nicest reds I have seen in a long time.
This lip gloss is incredibly easy to apply, it has a heart shaped sponge applicator which makes application very smooth and it means you can carefully trace the lip line without smudging! It also means that the lip gloss is easily spread evenly so you don't end up with more intense colour in one place than another!
When you apply the gloss it doesn't feel sticky (unlike some long lasting lipglosses which go on sticky then dry out making you feel like you need lip balm) It is very light when applied so you don't really notice its on.
So did it last six hours? Let me give you the vital stats:
The gin and tonic test: After taking a sip of my favourite drink the gloss was still well and truly there. There was some on the glass (its unavoidable) but most of it wall still on. I was impressed.
The 6 hour test: It did last a very long time. I was incredibly impressed because on the night in question I went home a little tipsy and fell asleep with the gloss still on, when I woke up the next morning it was still there! How amazing is that?! I mean, there was a little on my face as I had clearly rolled over during the night, still the less about my drunk sleeping habits the better!
Priced at £7.99, its not the cheapest lipgloss out there but I think it represents good value for money as a little goes a long way. Also, when you contrast this price with say a Lancome lip gloss it really is quite cheap!
I really would recommend buying this- I have added several shades to my collection and I would urge you to do the same!
