Advantages: Great colour, coverage, last pretty well and dries quite fast

Disadvantages: Not enough colours in the range, and it does chip eventually :P

Gosh is a new brand to me, I believe they're exclusive to Superdrug and while they're not seriously expensive I did think some of the range seemed expensive compared to other brands in store. However I'd heard some positive things about it online, with some not so good things, and being a noughties woman I like to make up my own mind about things.

Gosh Cosmetics are from Denmark, have a wonderful website to look at (http://www.gosh.dk/Default.html#), and seem to be aiming to appeal to the women who like their make up fresh, bright and funky. The packaging is mainly black, pretty simple and the kind of thing that does appeal to me. Several items caught my eye, and as the brand was on special offer with 2 for 3 I decided to try out a couple of the less expensive things. So I selected two of the eyeshadow powders and the nail lacquer which matched one of them, 'Ocean'.

What the Packaging Looks Like:

It comes in a rounded bottle with a matt black lid featuring the Gosh logo on the glass letting the colours speak for themselves. No arguments from me on that! I'm not one for sickly packaging. It contains 8ml of product and is good for 24months after the first use (although I confess I have never thrown a nail polish away unless it got gloopy before using it up). You can lift the barcode tag for the ingredients.

How It Looked When Applied:

The colour I chose is a beautiful turqouise kind of colour, with a pearly sheen and on the first coat it looked just like it did in the bottle which is a good bonus, there's nothing like getting a beautiful colour home only to be disapointed when it's almost sheer (although sheer can be good too but that's what I wanted from this varnish). I was surprised at how it was almost full coverage with that one coat, but I suck at applying nail polish and often one nail can look a bit more watery than another so I went for a second.

It didn't take long to dry at all, which is another positive point to this lacquer - I get bored of waiting for nail polish to dry and tend to smudge it frequently. Highly pigmented, I was very happy with my nails and how they looked. Loved that it matched the eyeshadow powder almost perfectly as well!

How It Held Up:

Well I am a pain in the butt, I fiddle, I pick at things, and I wash up without gloves quite often, and this lasted three days before it even chipped. The only other time I have gotten such good wear out of a nail polish is with OPI, which costs a few quid more than the £5 this costs.

How I Feel About The Product:

Overall I am happy with it, and plan on getting at least one more colour in it as a particular purple one keeps taunting me, maybe more if it stays on offer for a while ;) I adore the colour, am crazy about how pigmented it is on my nails, it lasts a good amount of time for me as I am hard on nail varnish, and isn't crazily expensive. Overall a pretty positive experience - I would award it five stars but my ideal nail lacquer dries in 60 seconds, needs only one coat and lasts a week which is probably unfair on every single nail varnish out there but I still have hope that one day I will find it!

Summary: Lovely nail lacquer - will be buying more in the future I am sure!
