THE PRODUCT: I believe these Quattro set's come in 5 different colours, but I purchased the Driftwood and the Platinum shade. Driftwood contains a set of shimmering brown/beige colours, whereas as Platinum contains shimmering shades of silver. I was hoping that the colours in the set were going to look as shimmery on as they did through the lid of the packaging as I prefer shimmery looking colours on my eyes. The Eye shadows come in round packaging which is made from plastic and is black in colour. The lid to the product is mainly clear so you can see the colour of the eye shadows without having to open the packaging. Inside the packaging the eye shadows are split into quarters, so there are two at the top and two at the bottom. In the centre is a double ended applicator for applying the eye shadows with. The lid to the packaging opens up and this stays attached to the packaging of the product. The sets are priced at £7.99 each from Superdrug.
USING THE PRODUCT: The eye shadows are very soft and easy to apply to the eyelid using the double ended applicator provided. I found that the colours glide on easily and they can be blended together to create different looks suitable for day or night. I have only used the colours from the Driftwood set at the moment and I actually prefer using one of the medium shade as I find this brings out the blue in my eye a little more than the darker colours. I didn’t use a lid primer before applying the product as I wanted to see how well it lasted. I applied the product in the morning and by the afternoon it had started to wear off which was a little disappointing. The good thing about it is that it wasn’t going patchy and was fading more than anything else so it didn’t look messy. If you use a lid primer I suspect that the product might last slightly longer.
FINAL WORD: I really like these eye-shadow sets despite them being not as shimmery when wearing them as they look in the packaging. The product was king to my eyes without causing them any irritation and it was easy to remove at the end of the evening using a facial cleansing wipe. I use these sets on a regular basis now.
I was bought couple of quads by a friend a couple of birthdays ago, and occasionally I dig them out to try and use in my everyday makeup here are my thoughts.
This comes very much as is shown here. The eyeshadows are laid out four at the top and four at the bottom in a circular plastic cases. This plastic casing is see through on the top so we can see the shadows on the side and is black everywhere else, there is also an applicator included. I am disappointed that the is no mirror here, the packaging is definitely large enough to hold one. With colours like this (they are all so bright) one is really required.
I dropped one of mine not long after having it an the packaging was ruined the lid was all snapped and some of the eyeshadow was crushed. As this had mixed in with all the others I had to throw it away.
This packaging is definitely not sturdy enough.
Both of the quads I have are very loud and proud with bright pinks, greens, blues and yellows, meaning they are not all that wearable. When I do get some use from them I pair them itch something much more demure so maybe a white base with some blended pink etc.
the eyeshadows are very highly pigmented an only a little is needed to make a statement, this is partly good because it means I am not wasting any but partly bad as it is hard to measure how much colour I am adding,
The eyeshadow does blended very well, which is often strange for such bright colours.
This Wilk last all day with a good primer and luckily there is no fall out either when applying it throughout the day, and as these were matte there was zero annoying glitter anywhere either. Top marks for this.
Price and Availability
On the high street I have only noticed this is Superdrug, but I believe a number of online stores sell it too. A quick look at the Sueprdrug website tells me that these go for £7.99 in my opinion this is not worth it, there are far better eyeshadows in far wearable colours for a lot less.
I wouldn't really reccommend these unless you have an 80s fancy dress evening.
I have a huge variety of different eye shadows. The majority of them are in sets of a few different shades so I can get the look I like with just one set. My favourite set for nights out at the moment is my GOSH Quattro eye shadow.
The eye shadow comes in round plastic packaging. The circle shape is around 5cm wide. The majority of the packaging is black with a transparent top so you can see the different eye shadows inside. The eye shadows are placed with two at the top, then a gap for the applicator then two more eye shadows below the applicator. The GOSH branding is placed across the transparent part of the packaging.
I have four different grey shades in my set. An almost black colour, dark grey, light grey and white. I think this is called the platinum set. There are many other varieties of colour available to purchase in this range with more far out there colours if you desired them. The applicator that comes with the set is pretty much standard for eye shadow sets with two ends covered in a pad that are used to apply the eye shadow. Each end has a different shape, one is circular and the other has a slight point to it.
The eye shadow is quite easy to apply, it doesn't take much effort to get a good coverage on the applicator but then when you apply it to your eye lids it does take quite a bit of work as the colour comes out quite faint, even when you are using the almost black colour. It takes me a couple of layers to create the look I want. I usually use these colours if I'm going on a night out and I find the different shades are great to use to get a smokey eye effect, however I never seem to use the white colour as the light grey is light enough for me to use around the edges.
Once applied the eye shadow does retain the look I have achieved for the whole night out and I don't suffer from any creases in the eye shadow. This is essential for nights out as reapplying makeup after a few drinks is never an easy task! Although the eye shadow lasts well it is still incredibly easy to remove, even though loads of layers have been applied. I can take it off with a makeup remover wipe or liquid and pads without much effort.
This eye shadow is available to purchase from places such as Superdrug and Boots for around the £7.99 mark.
I'd definitely recommend the GOSH Quattro eye shadow set. The different shades in my grey set are perfect to use to create smokey eyes, it does take a little effort in applying but once it's finished it lasts well and is eay to remove. Definitely worth the £8 I paid.
I received this eye shadow as part of a gift at Christmas last year and I've used it quite often since then. It is not a brand I was familiar with until I was gifted some GOSH products, but it is one I will probably buy items from in the future.
The Gosh Quattro eye shadows are presented in a round black compact with a clear lid (this is printed with the word GOSH in black) allowing you to see the four colours inside. There are several different compacts available, all have colours which go together well and look appealing to me (the one I have has a green, brown, rose and vanilla colour). In the middle of the compact there is a space which holds an applicator. Overall the packaging and presentation is quite understated and typical of this kind of product.
The eye shadow is easy to apply but the colour does seem to need building up with a few layers to get a bold shade, this can be useful though depending on the look you want to go for. The applicator is a nice size and fairly good quality, it has a bend in the middle which seemed odd at first but seems to make it easier to hold and use now that I'm used to using it.
The eye shadow lasts quite well, but it's definitely not the longest lasting eye shadow I've found. I find I can get about 6 hours wear from this, any longer and it might need a re-application but as it's a nice handy size to fit inside a handbag this isn't too much of a problem (as long as you are near by a mirror!). With the use of primers and fixing sprays you might get longer wear from this eye shadow. I find that I do not get crease lines after an hour or two of wear like I do with some other brands of eye shadow, which is great!
I've found this product nice and easy to remove with either wipes or make up remover, I do not have to scrub or rub at my eyes to get it off. This is fantastic news for me and my sensitive skin. And on the subject of sensitive skin, this make up does not irritate mine.
Overall I am impressed with this eye shadow and I would recommend it to others, though I like other products of theirs more than this one. If you want to get yourself a Gosh Quattro eye shadow, you can buy them from several places online from around £6 upwards, superdrug sell them at £8.49 and currently have a long running 3 for 2 offer on GOSH make up.
Gosh Quattro eyeshadow: Q24 Platinum palette
Due to my olive skin, I can almost pull of any coloured make up going. I do however prefer over all other colour palettes, to use dark blacks, greys and silvers for my eyes.
I don't often wear makeup, but always when I go out. I have been using this GOSH quattro platinum set for around 6 months now and previously was using a set by collection 2000 which had too much glitter in the colours and I didn't like the look it was giving me.
I purchased this from superdrug in a 3 for 2 offer which seems to never end!
It costs £8.49 full price and I purchased it along with 2 other gosh items and the total was just under £18. I have used GOSH items before and really enjoyed them. I rate their products highly and try to buy them when possible.
GOSH Quattro Platinum eyeshadow:
This eyeshadow set contains 4 different colours. Dark grey, medium grey, light grey and an almost white colour. I rarely use the white unless I'm mixing it with another colour as i don't feel comfortable using a white eyeshadow as I don't like the way it looks.
The dark grey is my favourite of the whole palette. The colour is just the right amount of grey and isn't too dark to make me look like a scary panda, and not too light to make me look like i've got a black eye.
If I have a decent amount of time to get ready for a night out on the tiles, I will graduate the colours from the front of the eye lids back so the darkest grey is at the front and the lighter shade will graduate into the crease. It gives a really effective look and any smudging throughout the night with the colours won't matter and will give your eyes a great effect.
I don't use the applicator is came with. It is very good quality sponge applicators but I always prefer to use a brush as you can get a better coverage and the graduation of the colour looks much more proffessional.
Open the lid of the circular eyeshadow to see 4 quadrants of colour and the applicator.
There are a few different options for colour palettes including browns and aquarius shades.
I don't much like the blues and greens as they are quite bright for me and I much prefer deeper tones of colour.
This eyeshadow pack is brilliant. The colours are quite matte and when layered a lot, it can appear quite velvety with a shine to the colour and I prefer this range of eyeshadow as I know I won't have glitter sitting under my eyes like I've had with other brands.
The quad of colour is a brilliant investment to add to your make up bag. With the heafty £8.49 price tag, it can seem quite off putting, but I've had mine 6 months and it definitely has much more wear to go yet. The eyeshadow has no scent to it or extra things that aren't needed and it takes a lot for it to smudge or run. The worst experience I had with it was being in a nightclub that was ultra packed and I was so hot it kept leaking down under my eyes from getting clammy and sweaty.
The colours are perfect for anyone who likes darker shades on their eyes and if you have skill and a nice thin brush, you can even use the darker grey as an eyeliner which I have done in the past.
I give this product 5/5 for it perfect and even layering and the matte texture it has.
Thanks for reading my review.
I am not a huge fan of eye shadow, as I really hate my eyes and therefore don't want to draw attention to them, but recently I have been using more natural colours on my eyes, and actually I have been enjoying it and makes my eyes look much nicer, so I decided to buy some eye shadow just for myself, and I knew I loved GOSH products, so I decided to try out the GOSH Quattro Eye Shadow and I tried the Q22 Driftwood, which are more natural colours.
The GOSH eye shadows come in a range of colours, such as bright blues and greens, to greys and more browns and creams, which is my personal favourite colour scheme. But there is a large variety, which I would be positive that every women would find a favourite colour scheme for them, and, especially in my local Superdrug, the assistants were extremely helpful towards choosing shades and colours suitable for every women.
The application of the eye shadow was very easy, and as I prefer to use my finger to apply, it was extremely easy and gave a really nice even tone around my eye, which is really what you expect, but the GOSH eye shadows allows you to blend a range of the shades together, which I really thought looked nice, as I could get lighter colours around the whole eye and the darker shades where I wanted, perfect! Also the application of the eye shadows made it look almost professional, and got a lot of comments about how nice my eyes looked, which I was not used to! The eye shadow can last a fairly long time, and for me the colour lasted looking perfect for most of the day, which was fantastic, but for going out then re-applying can be the best solution.
GOSH Quattro Eye Shadow is available in Superdrug and online at the GOSH website, and costs £8.49, but currently on sale at Superdrug for £7.99. And also there are many offers regarding GOSH make up. Ideal for a gift or a wish list, or a perfect treat for yourself!
Eyeshadow - being something I wear on a daily basis means I must own quite a bit of the stuff and lately its been these 4in1 or 3in1's Ive been buying because for me they just save so much time and in most cases money and Id had my eye on these 'Gosh Quattro Eye Shadows' for ages everytime I popped into Superdrug so i think it was about time I took the plunge and bought one. The only reason I hadnt picked one up before was because I thought all the different options were super bright colours - like the one in the picture - and I tend to go for more dark/neutral colours so when a few weeks ago I found the answer to my GOSH prayers I bought it straight away. Kind of wish Id read a few reviews on it first though because it isnt as good as Id hoped.
Stockists: Superdrug & superdrug.com
Other Info: Shades: Aquarius (Blues & Purples), Driftwood (Browns), Platinum (Silvers & Greys) & Toucan (Mixed Bright Colours). There may be more available in store but I can only find those ones online. Contains micro-pearl effect for a highly pigmented, shimmery colour and hundreds of looks can be created from these four colours - use alone or layered/blended for a different look everyday.
I personally own the shade 'Driftwood' which is a collection of browns starting off very light up to a chocolate shade. All the browns are slightly shimmery and appear to be highly pigmented.
The packaging for this eyeshadow is still the same as pictured above been balck and transparent in colour. Through the clear top you can see all four of the colours so you know exactly what your buying and in the middle there is a little applicator - which I dont personally use because I cant apply eyeshadow with them but I thought that was a nice touch.
First of all I do recommend applying this with a brush or the applicator provided as with pressed powders I think its too hard to apply them with your fingers and you'll end up making a mess so take my advice on this one! Application is fairly easy as this seems to go on evenly and feels really light on your lids - off to a good start.
Sadly this not only feels light but looks it as well which is fine if your planning on wearing all these colours one by one but if your planning to layer it up or blend them all together like I was your going to be disappointed. When blended together they all look exactly the same becuase the colours are so light and shimmery so you cant distinguish one from another. It looks like a block colour applied to your lids rather than a 'smoky eye' look. 100 looks in one palette - not quite!
As I said though if your planning on wearing these colours singularly you'll be very happy because they create a lovely block colour that still appears neutral and it lasts for about 5-6 hours on me before fading and in my experience it doesnt smudge or flake easily so your onto a winner. I dont think Id buy this again simply because it didnt do the job I bought it for very well but if your looking to wear each colour seperatly go for it!
Thanks For Reading.

My gosh! A high end high street cosmetic product.
Although it cost £8.32 from Superdrug, I wasn't entirely sure it was worth it.
The packaging does not suggest a particularly high quality product, which puts me off to start with. If I am paying £8 for an eye-shadow I expect a little pampering and fussy packaging. It is a plain plastic disc black and translucent parts. It could've been the same quality packaging as collection 2000. It snaps open and contains a double ended eye shadow brush and four eye shadows divided by the black plastic packaging.
I chose a neutral 'Q22 Driftwood' which contains two shades of brown, a beige and a light creamy colour. I have used the light colour the most and the beige fell out. I seriously think thye could think about the packaging considering one of the trays fell out and was shattered.
The other colours available are very strong and colourful. The Superdrug website shows 'Platinum' a silvery grey mix, 'Toucan' an exotic bright yellow, green, blue and indigo, 'Goldfinger' a more warm and gold version of Driftwood and 'Aquarius', a range of blues.
The website for gosh cosmetics is pretty lame, the links do not work for the quattro eyeshadow and it is very basic.
The product itself, seems to last for a long time and does not come off very easily. Which is good. They clearly use good ingredients in their products.
The prices are the same as MACs single eyeshadows, and I do think that £8.32 is a lot to pay for eyeshadow so it is dissapointing that you are not given a more luxurious product, in other colors, or better quality and more aesthetically pleasing packaging.
****Gosh Quattro Eye Shadow****
I saw these in superdrug on 3 for 2 about a month ago and decided to give one a try as one of the eye shadow tubs just looked so bright and lovely.
This is actually an American brand and the only place you can get the products from in the Uk seems to be Superdrug. There not the cheapest brand on the market and whilst some things are ok like make up brushes other things are rubbish.
The eye shadow i picked was number 43 which had a pink, black, white and a coppery brown. There are loads to pick from in the range though going from browns to bright bright bright yellows, oranges and greens.
The packaging is quite sturdy but the applicators you get in it are not that great. At first i dint think they were that great but i think they got better after the top layer. The colours look nice on and they show up really well. They don't last the longest amount of time without primer potion but if you use it the colours last all day.
Cost-7.83 but i have seen it on 3 for 2 a couple of times. I think the product is okay but i have seen the same quality on cheaper products such as natural collection, collection 2000.If you were going for a plainer colour i would suggest collection 2000 and only buy this if you want to try one of the brighter colours not available from other brands.
I own this product in both Toucan (the one pictured) and Driftwood (which consists of slightly more neutral colours. I got them on a 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug, which seems to be the only place that they are available on the high street. They are on the slightly higher end of the 'drug store brands' and for what they cost I was actually quite disappointed with the quality.
The Toucan quad is no where near as bright as I had hoped, the colour pay off really is pitiful. You need about ten layers before it is even visible. Also they are of quite a chalky consistency and are a nightmare to blend, you end up taking product off as you try to blend the colours together.
I find it strange then that I have not had this problem with Driftwood, which has become a staple for my morning routine- providing a great neutral eye with a slightly more dramatic effect. The colours are more visible and more easily blended, still not perfect but better.
It seems that the products are a little hit and miss, so just give the testers a good go on your hand before you decide to take the plunge!
