A definite treat if you can afford it

Guerlain is of those brands that I've always pined over, their products look stunning but i could never bring myself to pay the price. Eventually i bit the bullet and ended up buying this product as i felt this would be the thing i would use the most often.
I am so thankful i did!
Just looking at this product you can tell its a luxury.
The compact is beautiful and looks so very classy and sophisticated. i like how the mechanism worked when you open it up- this explains the bulkiness and i enjoy the novelty of it.
Inside the compact has a huge mirror perfect for in your handbag and taking with you, i hate when compact products don't come with a mirror or a tiny thing you cant see in, i like the big mirror so i can see what i am doing! The product amount is a good size/ amount and has the brands logo embossed onto it which i like (i am a fan of professional/ attractive branding) and even the sponge looks expensive, even if you don't use it (i rarely do) it just looks nice to have inside the compact.
The powder itself is finely milled and buttery soft. i like to apply mine with a brush (personal preference) but applies nicely with a sponge too.
when applied the coverage i found was a light coverage but has a beautiful satin finish too it. the product doesn't settle into large pores or lines on the face and it doesn't cake up like some powders do.

my issues with this product is the colour i found to be slightly off. i'm incredibly pale and of the shades available the lightest was still a little dark for me so definitely test this before buying if you can. Just be sure to blend really well and you cant tell its too dark as it isn't a huge difference, just depends on the lighting.

I will be repurchasing when i can afford it but for now i use as sparingly as possible as it is a very pricey product.

      Expensive but amazing quality foundation

I bought this foundation on a whim one day whilst searching for a new powder and haven't looked back since. Guerlain is not a brand I had heard of before, nor had I ever looked at or owned any of their products, but if all their products are as high quality as this foundation they must be incredible. I would now never switch foundations: I just haven't found one of as good quality as this one!

My favourite part of this foundation is the coverage. It has a very good, high coverage but also doesn't look too matte or too caked on: it leaves a very smooth finish, not the powdery layer some cheaper foundations sometimes do.

I have struggled a lot in the past with finding a foundation which doesn't cause my skin to get oily, and this one fit that expectation perfectly: I had no excess oil nor lack of moisture on my skin.

This foundation is pretty expensive at £50 per compact, but it is worth every penny and the quality absolutely floors every other foundation for miles around.

I was also very impressed with how this product gives such great coverage and applies so nicely yet doesn't sink into pores or creases in the face, which is a definite plus all around. It simply gives a nice, balanced, airbrushed look which generally fulfills the exact kind of look I have been searching for.

The only other downside to this foundation is that it does have quite a bulky compact. I would recommend going to purchase it in store as opposed to buying online, as this is a high breakage factor.
