Emilio Pucci limited edition bronzer & blush

My husband has recently been away on a stag trip to Las Vegas. I was very miffed at having to stay home, and so I asked him to bring me a gift back from Duty Free. He asked what I wanted and I told him to surprise me. Now my husband is actually really bad at choosing gifts, I always just tell him what I want as it is safer that way, so maybe saying ''surprise me'' would turn out to be a bad idea!

As it turned out he chose really well, OK so I don't actually think that 'he' chose really well, I actually suspect that he wandered up to a friendly looking sales assistant and asked her what he should buy for his wife that he'd left behind while he swanned off to Las Vegas for a week!

The sales assistant obviously spotted herself a sales opportunity and sold him this gorgeous limited edition Emilio Pucci for Guerlain Terra Azzurra bronzing powder and blush, and the matching limited edition powder brush (which I'll also review).

This bronzer and blush is really exquisitely packaged, the compact itself is an ebony coloured varnished wood, and it has 'GUERLAIN by EMILIO PUCCI' engraved into the lid. It is really quite heavy and substantial, and it looks elegant, sophisticated, luxurious, classy and expensive. The compact then comes in a soft satin pouch which has the iconic Pucci print all over it, the pouch is in various shades of blues and white.

The powder itself is a cross between a bronzer and a blush. I was slightly disappointed at first as I though that maybe it was just a bronzer, which I don't use as I'm far too pale and bronzers tend to look odd on me. However the fact that it is halfway between a bronzer and a blush makes this suitable for me to use. The compact is made up of half bronzer, and then the other half is made up of the blush in three different shades; a coral, a dark pink and a light pink. The bronzer part of the compact has (or had I should say) 'EMILIO PUCCI Guerlain' embossed onto the powder, which adds to the luxury look. It kind of made me not want to use it as I didn't want to wear away the embossed lettering!

This is perfect on my pale skin if I swirl the powder brush around the compact and pick up all of the colours, it looks very natural, and gives my skin a lovely healthy glow. The powder itself is really silky soft, and feels very lightweight on my skin. This has really good staying power, and the colour will stay on my skin all day, or all evening. I can build the colour up very easily by swirling the powder brush through the colours for a second time and applying again, I tend to only do this for a night out as I find that for daytime wear just one application is sufficient to give a very natural glowy look.

I absolutely love this, and I think that he 'chose' very well. It's the kind of thing that makes a stunning gift, along with the matching powder brush, and obviously the sales assistant knew this!
