Advantages: Mutlipurpose, defines the eyes and brows

Disadvantages: Limited availability and expensive

I received my HD eye and brow palette in my most recent Glossybox. Prior to this, I was unaware of the HD Brow brand. They are a salon brand with several boutique salons nationwide, offering a 7 step guide to perfect brows. Aside from offering salon services they sell products and make-up aimed to accentuate and style the eyes and eyebrows. Stockists are limited, but this can be bought from HD Brows' website for around £20 for 4, 2g powders.

The palette is available in 3 shades depending on your hair colour, I have Vamp which is formulated for darker hair colours - similar to the picture above, but there are palettes available for lighter hair colours. In Vamp there is a nude, a carbon shadow and two dark brown tone powders to create a multi-tone look.

The palette is around 3"x3" in size, so fits easily in your make-up bag or handbag. The mirror on this pallet is great, it fills most of the lid of this palette and makes doing your make-up really easy and clear.

The applicator brush is around 2" in length and has an angled brush at one end and a regular brush at the other. The quality of the bristles is high, they feels smooth to the touch and they do not fray or fall out.

My eyebrows are dark brown in colour and I am able to use all 3 of the darker tones on my eyebrows to neaten and even them up. A small amount of powder is needed to achieve a natural look, so the palette will last around 12 months before all the shades are used up. The angled brush makes applying the powders really easy, the brush simply glides over the brows.

When I first used this I was concerned that the powder my skip or smudge from my brows during the day and I would weird! There was no need to worry as this stayed put on my brows, only needing a touch up around 5 hours afterwards; just to smooth the hairs.

The darker colours also look great on the eyelids for a smoky/ nude look. They sit well on the lid without creasing or smudging. The colours can be blended in for a more daring evening look, bit can also be worn on their own for a casual, daytime look. The light, nude colour can be used as a highlighter under the eyebrow to brighten the eye area, also. The powders also have longevity on the lids and last a good 4-5 hours.

Overall, this is a lovely multipurpose tool and I am so happy I received it in my Glossybox! £20 is a little expensive, but it is contains a highlighter, eyeshadow, eyebrow shadow and mirror in one -plus it will last for ages! So these qualities do help soften the price tag a little.

4 Stars due to the price
