The perfect bronzer for people who don't like to look like they are wearing bronzer!

Since discovering the wonderful World of loose mineral bronzers I cannot get enough of them! As they are so light they do not cake onto my skin and clump or appear too dark and dirty so they are essentially the best bronzer for me and any other fair complexions out there that suffer to find the right bronzed look for you! I had been using the Bella Pierre one but an unfortunate accident involving the pot, the floor and my cat deciding to use it as a sand pit resulting in me needed a new one.

I was going to buy the exact same one but while looking for it online I came across the Inika Mineral Bronzer and more importantly the brand Inika. I don't know whether I had been totally blind to this great brand but I had never heard of them before, so feeling a tad silly, I did some research into them before I bought and found out that the brand was founded by Miranda Bond who was told to detoxify her diet and lifestyle in order to conceive. She read a book called Hormone Heresy by American holistic wellness guru Dr. Sherrill Sellman, which claimed that a lot of the chemicals in everyday products such as make up and cosmetics are harmful to our bodies. Once Mrs Bond fell pregnant she realised that this new way of Life was working!

She decided to empower women to follow her lead and set up this make up brand that is now known and famed for being a 100 percent natural beauty brand incorporating mineral makeup, vegan and organic products that are completely free from synthetic chemicals and harmful ingredients! On reading this I was so excited to have a look and try out almost everything! But I didn't want to splurge so I decided to just buy the loose mineral bronzer, however because of all the jam packed goodness inside - the products are quite high end and expensive so I had to leave it until my lovely boyfriend kindly bought it and surprised me with it after seeing it on my laptop! So after that rambling introduction, on with the actual review...!

The packaging reminds me a lot of the Nars blushers for some reason, as it comes in a matte, black square box with a gold flick at the bottom and the brand name Inika wrote in gold at a side ways angle. On the back are the ingredients and a bit about the brand and product. Once you open up the box you are greeted with the product itself - a round plastic pot that is slightly frosted so you can just about peek in and see the shade inside. The lid is a sturdy matte black plastic which reassures me that it will not spill inside my bag whilst I'm on the go! The lid simply has the brand name on which I think adds to the simplistic, sophisticated touch.

To access the product, you simply unscrew the lid and unlike most mineral or loose powder product there is no 'sieve' mechanism which ultimately stops you from wasting too much product when applying - I was a little disappointed at this for the price but I suppose that is just me being picky!

There are 4 shades to choose from in this particular range, I think they are quite varied however they are not too dark which is something I love because most bronzers on the market are much too dark, shimmery and orange - especially since TOWIE has been on the screens! So it is very refreshing to see a range that is actually natural - in both sense of the word! The shades are:

Sunlight: This is the lightest shade of the range and is my favourite. Mainly because it does not have any shimmer to it (although if you prefer this then you can add a highlight over the top) the colour is a very soft and light brown and is perfect for fair skin because it gives you a colour without looking unnatural or faked.

Sunkissed: This shade is more of a medium I would say as it would cater for people who have medium skin tones or if you use fake tan then this would be the one for you. The main colour is more of a golden brown with a lot of lighter gold and even yellow undertones.

Sunloving: This shade I would say is a medium to dark shade, although it isn't too dark so you could get away with it if you use sparingly. The main colour is a medium brown with a lot of darker bronze and even a slight burgundy undertone to add to the total effect.

Sunseeker: This shade is the darkest of the range and would suit anyone that has a medium to dark skin tone. The main shade is a darker shade of brown with a lot of red tones and some dark claret running through to give a warm glow!

I chose the lightest shade - Sunlight and have to say that it is the best shade of bronzer I have ever used! It doesn't make me look or feel like I am wearing bronzer at all but just adds a healthy glow to my skin and helps to sculpt the cheekbones! Being blonde and having fair skin I always try to make my make up look as natural as possible, but with this bronzer I am totally in love! It's made summer time even more special!

To apply I like to use a large fluffy brush, you can use any brush you like but a large one makes it not so concentrated and just adds to that flawless appeal. I then tap out a very small amount into the lid and swirl my brush into it. Using soft strokes, I sweep the brush over my cheekbones and up to my temples until I have the desired effect! Then if there is any left over I tip it back into the pot and were done. Simples!

I would recommend this bronzer to anyone who is concerned about nasty chemicals in their make up but also wants it to be high quality and do its job! Also if you are always on the hunt for the perfect light and natural bronzer then look no further! You can purchase this bronzer online on the Inika website or on any of the other make up stores that sell it, you won't regret it!
