I have a number of different lipsticks in my make up bag. Most of these are ones which are about half used and then I go and treat myself to a new one and the one that I am going to be reviewing today is my Jane Iredale Pure Moist Lip Colour. You may have been a little bit like me and wondered what this brand was as up to about a year ago I didn't know what it was either! It was certainly one that I have been using on a regular basis and it was really thanks to my friend that I was first introduced to the brand, she had a new lipstick and eyeshadow that I tried out when we were going out on evening and I fell in love with the shade, so much so she very kindly brought me the lipstick that I am going to be reviewing today. Here are my thoughts.
My friend told me that she brought me the lipstick from a website, I am not sure which one but I have been looking and I have seen that it will cost around the £10.40 mark on the Feel Unique website which I think is a good price. The brand does quite a number of makeup products, many more than I first realised. Amazon and Mineral are also stockists of the products.
The lipstick is nothing that fancy in design, I think with this lipstick it is more about the quality of the product; the lipstick is modelled on being a natural product so we are told that it has no dyes or preservatives in it and that it is a conditioning product. The lipstick is a pale gold colour in packaging and then the shade will be revealed, I had the Ashley shade and this is a light brown colour and perfect for everyday use.
The lipstick is one that is really easy to apply. We are told by the brand that we can apply with a lip brush for best results but I have never really got on that well with my lip brush so decided to use the lipstick straight onto my lips. There is a very even texture to the lipstick and it goes on in an even and smooth way. The colour is noticeable but not too harsh. We are given a full breakdown of the ingredients that have been used in the lipstick and I have certainly found it to be very moisturising and definitely conditioning.
The reason why I like this lipstick so much is that I like that it stays in place. When I have a drink or something to eat then the colour looks the same afterwards. The lip stick has never run or faded really quickly so its certainly got long lasting results. The lipstick is also good for lips in that it doesn't dry them out, I have found glosses have left my lips feeling terrible but this one is really positive.
In summary, I am more than happy to recommend this lipstick, there are some great shades in the range and whilst you can't test them as you don't tend to see this in shops, it is a great quality and one that is well worth a chance.
4 out of 5 from me
Thank you for reading
