      Good, if a little overpriced

My skin has always seemed to look quite dull, which I put down to it being quite dry. Earlier in the year, I went on the hunt for something that would give me a glowing, flawless look. I headed to feelunique.com, which is one of my favourite websites and came across this product. I had never used anything by Jemma Kidd before and hadn't heard of the product, but a bit of searching threw up some Youtube videos of ladies raving about this, so I decided to take the plunge and buy it.

The compact comes packaged in a black cardboard box. Unfortunately my box became quite damaged in transit so headed straight for the bin. I was also a little bit disappointed with the accompanying leaflet, as although it gave tips on where on the face to apply this, it didn't specify how this should be applied - with fingers or a brush/sponge.

The compact itself is black and is made from a sort of rubbery feeling material. I don't think that this was the most sensible choice as it attracts fingerprints really badly and they are hard to remove, so mine is looking quite grubby now unfortunately. The compact does come with a nice big mirror inside the lid though which is great, as I now don't need to carry a separate one around with me.

There are two shades available in this product - Iced Gold and Rose Gold, but they both look quite similar so I struggled to know which one to choose. The one I went for was Iced Gold which seemed the paler of the two, therefore the one I thought would suit my pasty skin better.

As the instruction leaflet hadn't given me any clues on how to apply this I headed back over to Youtube to see what the girls there were using. It seemed quite mixed with some using their fingers, others using a large brush to apply this with. I decided to try applying it with my fingers to begin with and this seemed to work for me, so I have carried on applying it in this way.

The dewy glow all over radiance crème, is a sort of pale gold-pink colour and the fine shimmer particles are easy to see, yet don't look too over the top. The crème feels quite solid in the tub, but seems to melt a little on when it warms up, so I need to rub the pad of my finger over the surface a few times to actually pick the product up. It contains both jojoba oil and rice bran oil to help hydrate the skin, which was a plus for me, as my skin gets quite dry.

The crème transfers onto my skin very easily and not too much is left behind on my fngers. You can wear the crème as a highlighter or all over the face. It is suitable to be used underneath or on top of foundation.

I first tried this as a highlighter on bare skin. It goes on really well and when applied to areas such as the arch of the eyebrow or the hollow of the cheekbones it looks very effective and is not overly obvious that you have applied any make up at all.

The next way I applied this was underneath foundation. I applied it all over my face then put my foundation over the top. As I expected, unfortunately my foundation seemed to cover the crème completely and it didn't glow through as the product suggested it would, so that was the first and last time I used it that way!

On top of foundation it works very well. I found that it gave my skin a flawless and glowing finish without looking too over the top or shimmery. I'd say it gives quite a muted look and softens the look of the skin. It doesn't rub my foundation off either which was one concern I have.

One of the negatives of this product is that it only seems to last around four hours before it requires a top up. I can only really put that down to its creamy formula, I guess it must just slide off the skin.

The crème costs £17 for a 4.25g compact, which is quite pricey for what it is. Although it is a good product the poor staying power alone would prompt me to say that I think a price of £10-£12 would be more acceptable. I bought mine from feelunique.com although they no longer seem to stock it. It is still available from www.beautybay.com which is another website I use quite a lot and I can vouch for its reliability.

Overall this is a good product and I like that it can be used all over the face or just as a highlighting product. The main negative perhaps is that it seems to disappear after a few hours and I also think it is a tad overpriced. Still, I am willing to give it a respectable four out of five stars.
