Jessica nail restorer
Having had false nails for some months, when they were removed my own nails were a bit weak, so I decided to try to do something about it and when this product was recommended to me I had to give it a go...
WHAT DOES IT DO?
This is marketed specifically for damaged and post acrylic nails which are weak or soft, may peel and also for nails which will not grow.
It contains a regenerative complex formula which helps to repair the damage caused by acrylics. It also contains Echinacea which helps the healing process and so improve the structure and condition of the nail right from the foundation to the surface of the nail.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The product comes in a small box with all of the instructions and information on the outside of the box as well as a small instruction leaflet inside the box.
Inside the box is a normal nail polis type bottle and when I unscrew the lid the application brush is like those found on nail polishes. Being nice and wide it is sure to cover the surface of the nail quickly and easily.
It smells like nail polish and is clear in colour ( as expected). The consistency is like a nail polish and as I thought when I apply it, the product does glide on easily and covers my nail with a couple of brushes across the surface.
The product should be applied generously to clean and dry nails using 8 to 10 strokes on each nail. For me this a lot and I tend to get bored and apply a couple of strokes. It should be applied over the nail as well as under if nails are long and the edges of the nail should be sealed, presumably to ensure all of the nail is getting the benefit.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
I bought mine from the beauty salon but I have seen it available online. The RRP is £17.99 although mine was cheaper. Expensive yes but if it works then it's worth it.
Jessica produces lots of nail products, and is apparently recognised as "the first lady of nail prodcts".
Post acrylic nails mine weren't as bad as I remembered them being before and I still had some nail left. They were however very soft and for me the best thing was to cut them very short so that they would not split, and thus allow them some chance to grow.
The product as very easy to apply and I did apply it every day. I removed it using a conditioning nail polish remover twice a week and then reapplied, and found that it did strengthen my nails. After a week of usage, the bit of my nail over my finger was definitely less soft and it seemed there was no likelihood of it being peeled off.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has soft rather than brittle nails; it strengthens nails and is easily applied.
Expensive but worth it!!
