I recently came across this brand while i was away in italy. I thought to be honest the prices were too cheap, and assumed the make up would be terrible. My partner convienced me to give it ago as spending only a little money on the make up wouldnt be the end of the world. I was running low on lipstick so tried it out. I brought the lipstick.
Its amazing! and for sucha low price. They're colours that they have suit absoloutly everyone ! I personally perfer a more subtle tone of lipstick that isn't too showy, so they had a wide range of colour choices for me, then they went to the bright flashly colours, and also the darker colours.
They really do cater for everyones taste, The lipstick seemed to really last, i think throughout the course of the day I only have to apply it two or three times! it leaves a beautiful tint to your lips thats longlasting. The types that I chose had a subtle shine to it which really stood out.
The next day I just had to go back to the shop and stock up! I also tried their foundation and concealer which provides the same affects as the more expensive brands.
They definitely deserve to be a more well unknown and appreciated brand, I would 100% swap all my make up over to this brand without a shadow of a doubt. I would really like to see them more adverstised.
if the prices werent low enough all the time they are always having sales! they had a buy three get three for free on recently!
I had never come across the brand Kiko before but on a recent trip in Westfield shopping centre in London with my aunt who was visiting from Bristol (she has an obsession with make up and cosmetics by the way!) she saw this one off Kiko store which was having a sale and so of course we entered.
They had a wide range of mascaras, endless amounts of lipglosses and of course lipstick which was on sale for £3! Not one to resist bargain (even though I don't tremendously wear lipstick myself as I think my lips are too big and products like this just emphasises my flaws!) I picked up a shade 84 red lipstick. There are around 29 shades of this lipstick on the kiko cosmetic website but in store there were about 20 to choose from.
It is encased in a black carboard box, and inside is a black lipstick tube with a silver rim where it is opened. As usual with lipstick, the stick pops up with a swivel of the base. It has Kiko in silver writing on the lid so it does look quite stylish still, albeit a bit basic.
The lipstick itself is actually quite creamy, and so moisturises my lips with application aswell as giving good coverage to cover any cracks I may have in my lips. I usually use my vaseline or nivea lip care as a base to give added moisture so the colour can stay put for longer. The red I chose isn't overly bold (thank god!) so I actually find it quite compliments my lips, although it does look a bit dull so I usually top it off with some gloss just to give a small shine. Putting this combination together, voila! I have quite a good look going on and I am feeling rather impressed with myself! Especially since I vowed not to wear lipstick, and even more so the fact I got it for a mere 3 quid! It doesn't feel like a cheap value brand of lipstick and so I really like it.
It does leave it's mark quite easily such as on cups/glasses I drink out of, but I figured that's what lipsticks do right? So I don't quibble too much lol.
Overall, it's long lasting, looks great and for £3 it does the job for me so I would definitely recommend and if I am brave enough I may venture and try some new colours!
Lip products are probably my favourite group of makeup products. They are easy to put on and they make your face look complete. This is a lipstick I got a while ago in the KIKO shop in Westfield Stratford. I haven't used it for ages and then I discovered it again in my makeup collection yesterday and it's such a beautiful lipstick.
First off, the packaging is gorgeous and looks like it is a really high end brand. It is encased in a kind of holographic/ light gold case with KIKO on the front then on the top there is a little dimple which you press and then the lipstick case pops out at the bottom. It's a really unique packaging design and I really like it!
Obviously the main thing I love about this lipstick is the shade, it is 602, Natural Rose and is the perfect ' My Lips but better' colour. I just love this colour, it is a nude but it's not nude enough to make you look like you have concealer lips or that you're dead!! It's got just the right amount of pink in and it's a gorgeous shade. The texture is beautiful too, it's so smooth yet it stays on for so long which is odd for a moisturising type lipstick, they normally slide right off your face!!
And for all of this, these lipsticks are only £6.90!! These are the most bargainous lipsticks ever!! They look like the height of luxury on your dressing table and they feel luxurious on your lips too!! Available here at the KIKO website, or at Westfield Stratford City. Or if you're lucky enough to live in Italy / Europe where they stock KIKO then your local drugstore!!

I purchased some KIKO products last year when I was in Germany for myself and my daughter. We usually buy MAC products and found that the KIKO eye shadows were practically identical with their vibrant colours. My daughter usually won't use any other foundation but MAC, but she loved the KIKO foundation I brought back for her and then pinched mine when hers had ran out! It is excellent value for money and when I return to Germany in May I will definitely be trying their other products.
*About the brand*
Kiko is an italian brand and they are based in italy but they have stores in Germany and spain. It is a cosmetic brand and they sell a wide range of products, including, many eyeshadows (see my previous review for more information), body care lines, sun protection lines and they also have a section for men (if limited).
I went to sicily recently and they have a store in Taormina, so I have to go it obviously! I was surprised at the packaging, the quality of the products and the general appearance of the store as it looked like the products were going to be really expensive as they also have MAC like packaging but they are so affordable! I just hope that they make an online store for international buyers soon!
*About the product*
I bought this on a impulse really as I don't usually wear lipstick or anything on my lips really other than lip balm, but this has changed my view on lip products, it is really amazing.
I have the lipstick in the shade classic red or shade number 84. It is a moisturising effect lipstick and it is so pigmented, I only needed 1 to 2 coats of the lipstick and it was super pigmented. It is not as bright as the picture above it is more of a classic red, which is really great.
It applies really smoothly and evenly so the colour is not 'patchy' or uneven. I wore it most of the day when I got back on the ship (as it was a formal night) and it stayed put! It did not really fade, it did not feather, but it did transfer to glasses etc. But this did not surprisingly effect the colour on my lips.
It stays put for ages but the downside to this is that it is a bit difficult to get off! But with some make up remover wipes it is easy, but I couldn't remove it very easily with a wet flannel/cotton pad.
And the best thing about the lipstick.. is that it was only Euro2! Which is amazing and it is the reason why I bought it as I don't really wear lipstick but at Euro2 I thought I would just buy it as you can't get a really really good lipstick with great packaging for about £1.60!
*Really nice, sleek packaging which makes the products look more expensive than they actually were
*So affordable - at Euro2 each!
*Easy to apply
*Dont need to keep reapplying
*Colour stays put
*Moisturising effect - like a semi matte look
*Red lipstick is a Very film star/hollywood/glamourous look
*Dont have an online store!
*A bit difficult to get off - make up remover wipes make it easier to get off
