      Nail sparkle stones.

      The Nail Stones

      I got given the nail stones as a present as I am always painting my nails different colours and doing different designs on them. The nail stones come in a small round tray which is separated into 12 different sections. Each section contains a number of different coloured and shaped gems. The tray has a clear plastic lid so you can see the gems through the lid. The clear lid twists round to each section to enable to get the gems out from their compartments. With the nail stones you also get some professional salon formula glue. It states on the glue that you need to avoid any contact with the skin and eyes. The tray the nail stones come in is really handy as even if the tray is tipped upside down the stones stay in their separate compartments and don't fall out or mix together.
      In the pack you get the following nail stones:

      * Light green oval
      * Bright pink circle
      * Light blue triangle
      * Black circle
      * Red crescent moon
      * Light pink circle
      * Silver tear
      * Light blue circle
      * Red square
      * Silver circle
      * Light blue star
      * Purple tear

      I got given the nail stones as a present; how-ever they are available to buy from Kleeneze for £3.95 which includes 12 different coloured stones. If you don't get a Kleeneze book you can order from their online store which is www.kleenezeshop.com.

      Using the Nail Stones

      You can use the stones on your natural nails over the top of a plain or clear coloured varnish. I like the look of the nail stones on natural looking nails; how-ever they also look great placed on top of a coloured varnish. To use the nail stones I simply turned the lid of the tray to the compartment in which I wanted to use a stone. Using a wooden cuticle stick with a small piece of blue tack on the end I took a gem out from the compartment. The compartments are quite small which is why I use a small wooden cuticle stick. You could probably use tweezers as well how-ever I think a wooden cuticle stick would be easier as the tweezers don't always pick up the stones. When you use the glue for the first time, after removing the lid you need to snip the end off of the glue. I then simply squeezed the tube lightly to dispense a small amount onto my nail where I wanted to apply the stone. Using tweezers or a cuticle stick pick up the stone and gently press it onto the nail in the position you want it. Ensure the glue is dry before doing anything. I find that the glue can take quite a while to dry which is the only downside to this product. I didn't paint a clear varnish over the top; how-ever you could do this to ensure the stone stays on your nail a bit longer.

      Overall Opinion

      The nail stones are really good value and are also very easy to use. The glue can become quite sticky, so you need to ensure you don't get this onto your skin or into your eyes. As well as using these on natural nails you could probably also use these on false nails as well to decorate them. If I want to remove the stones I simply wet a cotton wool pad and gently wipe the nail and the stone will gently come off. Of course you could also wait for the nail stone to come off itself or you could probably pick it off as well, how-ever I'm not sure this would actually do your nails much good. If you like to decorate your nails and make them look different and slightly professional then this is a great set to buy as it's a reasonable price. I rate this product 4 out of 5 stars.
