I have a whole make up bag full of various lipsticks, lip glosses and beauty products.
However there's always some items when opening your make up bag that is your go-to product and one you wear/use more often than others.
For me, this lipstick is one I love and have used quite regularly over other brands.
I bought this from either Boots or Superdrug a few months ago.. I can't remember which store as I visit both often, but online the price is showing me it costs £8.19 to purchase it.
The lipstick caught my eye on the shelf as it comes in a full gold packaging. It also doesn't look very cheap compared to some in the black plastic shell. The lipstick has the L'Oreal Paris brand engraved on it in the middle of the packaging which makes it eye-catching.
The number of the shade is listed on both ends of the lipstick's case. In this instance the shade I have is 302.
The bottom of the lipstick casing has the shades name (Bois De Rose) and Color Riche on it.
There is minimal information on the lipstick, it just has the barcode sticker on it at the side and showing an expiry date of 24months.
On taking off the lid of the lipstick, it glides off easily and effortlessly.
Upon screwing up the lipstick you will find it has L'Oreal Paris also engraved onto the lipstick itself near the top so it is clearly visible when applying.
I just love this lipstick shade, it's a nice rosy pink shade which really suits me when applied.
It's not too bright either which I like. On applying the lipstick I was really surprised by the difference in this one and other lipsticks I have used.
This lipstick is very creamy when applied and glides onto the lips really easily. It feels comfortable on my lips and not heavy. I also do not need to put any lip balm onto my lips as I find the lipstick does a great job.
I really like the shade and think it's a nice natural one I can wear often.
I do not think the staying time is as great, especially after eating and I have to re-apply it. But I feel the softness of the lipstick and how easily it glides on my lips as well as really liking the shade make me not mind having to re-apply it as it starts to wear off. This is common with most lip glosses and lipsticks though and the lipstick was not marketed as a long lasting one, so I will not knock off a star for that.
Placing the lid back on the lipstick is easy, it has a clip so you have to place the lid back in a certain way rather than any direction working. Therefore you have to look at it when placing the lid back on to ensure it clips securely. The clip also makes it secure when placed in your bag and it will not fall off.
I give it 5 stars and it's one I would purchase again when it finishes.
I found the shade to be really nice and I liked the softness when applying.

I have never really been a lip-gloss person. I find they wipe of too easily and need to be reapplied to regularly and I'm certainly not a person who enjoys having to re apply my make up every 20 minutes. This is why I always go for lipstick and always choose a well known and well respected brand such as L'Oreal. I usually will go for something much brighter and bolder, however I received the nude pleasure colour at Christmas and do occasionally go for a more natural look now.
I will use this lipstick for more formal day outs during the day such as to work, meetings other more sensible appointments. It's certainly not a lipstick I would choose for a social event or going out at night. This colour is perfect for those more formal events as it is subtle though still noticeable and gives your lips a nice even shine.
It comes in a rectangular gold case with a click on lid and the usual twistable inside. When applying, it feels very smooth and creamy. You can definitely feel its quality. I usually re apply this every couple of hours though it lasts longer than this but loses its shine a bit. There is a matching glam shine lip-gloss to go over the top for those who want a bit more 'oomph' to the lips but I never found this to be needed.
Overall I think that this is a very good and long lasting lipstick and would recommend this to anyone looking for natural looking lips.
I do not wear a huge amount of make up but one thing I carry with me at all times is lipstick or lipgloss so that if I need a sudden confidence boost or quick polish for a meeting I have it to hand. I do like L'Oreal products usually and saw this range on offer so I bought two of them from Amazon for £3.99 each.
The two colours I bought were a cinnamon brown and a berry blush pink and I use both of them frequently. Coverage is good, smooth, silky feeling and I find that it lasts well and does not need frequent reapplying, I tend to put a layer on, blot and then reapply and try not to touch it for 10 minutes, it is then pretty much solidly in place for a good few hours.
The colours I bought are reflective of the looks I tend to go for in my make up, pastel, natural and subtle. The range is great though and features more dramatic tones than this, the one thing I would definitely advise is not to buy from department stores or places like boots as you will spend a lot more than the £3.99 I did. I tend to check the physical testers in one of these stores so that I know which shade I want and then simply buy them online.
The packaging is nice and feels solid and nicely weighted in your hand, I never have problems with the twist mechanism on these lipsticks and the lids do not come off too easily (i.e. in your handbag) unlike with some cheaper brands. Overall I think if you shop around these are fabulous value for money.
Quality item, well packaged and easy to use in a good range of colours, these are a staple item from a great range which are essential for my day to day routine and give me confidence when I need it.
I got this lipstick way back in February and because it was quite expensive (£7.99) and a bit special I only use it for special occasions, even though my shade is a everyday nude. L'Oreal has made these lipsticks so you don't have to decide which lipstick to choose out of the numerous shades L'Oreal produce! According to your hair colour and/or skin tone, L'Oreal has the right shade of lippy for you. A shop will probably have testers grouped into catergories, so you can find your shade quickly and at ease. To be honest, I don't comply by the rules of finding the lipstick that matches your skin and/or hair, I just choose whatever takes my fancy. I've also got very pale, porcelain skin and dark brown hair, so I'd have to choose if I wanted a colour for dark hair or pale skin, as there is no combo for me!
~Packaging and Appearance~
L'Oreal Color Riche Made for Me Lipsticks are sold in a golden plastic cuboid-shaped tube with a clicking mechanism to open and close, with a golden bar with the L'Oreal Paris logo going across the middle. The tube looks very high-class and posh, so even if you took one glance at it you'd know it isn't cheap. To use the lipstick, just twst the bottom. The actual lipstick will probably have the L'Oreal Paris logo printed in it too - mine did. My shade was 253, Blush in Nude, a lovely pinky-peachy nude colour.
Application was easy and the lipstick was smooth and very moisturising. Unlike other nude colours I have tried from other brands, the colour from this lipstick actually showed up on my lips a little more than the other lippies I have tried. The lipstick itself was also quite thick and stayed on my lips for ages, even when I ate and drank. When I applied clear lipgloss, it lasted even longer. Even though my shade wasn't 'Made for Me' (it was from the blondes' section) it suited me very well - probably because it's designed with a blonde girl's fair skin in mind, which is what I have.
L'Oreal Color Riche Made for Me lipstick retails at £7.99 per tube, which is a lot for a lipstick, but considering that L'Oreal is quite a high-class brand and the lipstick itself is very good, then it's worth the money. This lippy is quite cheap compared to L'Oreal's newest Color Riche product, which is the Color Riche Boosting Serum lipstick, and that costs a hefty £8.49!
I was attracted to this range of L'Oreal lipsticks through the way they were displayed in Boots. L'Oreal have designed a range of lipstick colours to suit women with different colourings. You simply select your hair colour, and you will then find a narrowed down range of colours to suit you. I selected 276 Toffee and Chocolate from the Made for Me Chocolate Nudes for Brunettes. This colour definitely suits my colouring, although it is a little darker than I was expecting from a naturals range of colours.
These lipsticks cost £7.99 in Boots, although as I am writing this I am looking at adverts with prices ranging from £2.99 to £4.99 on Amazon. The lipsticks come in shiny gold packaging. This has remained good, despite the lipstick being thrown around in my bag for a number of months. I am particularly impressed with the cap, which clicks securely shut and remains that way.
The lipstick itself contains Omega 3 oils and Vitamin E to moisturise the lips, and I find it works. The lipstick glides on easily and feels creamy on the lips. However, it also has pretty good staying power and I usually find that it stays in place for several hours.
You can find cheaper lipsticks out there, but I think L'Oreal Color Riche offer good value. For me, selecting according to my colouring reduces the risk of choosing a colour that doesn't really suit me (a cost saving in itself!). The lipsticks also have the added bonus of being both moisturising and fairly long lasting.
I never know which lipstick to go for when I'm at the shops, looking for new make up. There are so many brands and so many shades how do you choose? I generally am helped along if there is some kind of promotion however this doesn't help me choose a shade. I first tried L'oreal Color Riche lipstick (dark chocolate in my case) when there was a special offer on with £2 off in a local well known store. The packaging was an attractive gold colour and the case easily clicks into place and as such as never cracked or broken like some other brands have in the past. The product itself has a lovely make upy smell which I just love however when applied the lipstick does just glide on. As this product is aimed at your colouring it really helps as the customer can go straight for that part of the range so in stead of choosing amongst thirsty you can choose between 3 or 4 colours which helps a lot!! The colour it is applied is very similar to what it looks like which helps and when applied it is not a think colour but more a sheen of a colour which I really like. It is more of a natual look which brings out your natual colouring. The price is fairly expensive I suppose for a lipstick however it is L'oreal and "we are worth it":)
Don't you ladies just love lipsticks?
Well I do if anything I'm like a little girl in a sweet shop when i proceed past the rows of enchanting colours they have on offer at the make up counter, The Reds .Browns Pinks oranges, they collectively look so dazzling in their glamorous rows, and then you get the unusual bright psychedelic range too and not forgetting the glitter ones or the moisturising ones.
There are so many to choose from its hard just to leave with one , I when at this counter will buy two but on this occasion i did not have to move from my living room chair this one came through my door as a try out, I unwrapped my bubble envelope and there before was gold,
The casing shone like a golden ticket like the one won by Charlie in Charlie and the chocolate factory, and i as i picked it up to look at i noticed the design in more detail, i have to be honest i had never seen anything resembling it , It had a kind of "click" mechanism so that the lid would not come away from the the opposite side on its own, to me is a bonus as lipsticks in the bottom of my hand bag seem to lose their tops and end up with those mysterious crumbs and fluff stuck to them , when you know full well you have never had food or fluff in you handbag!!
Well the casing of the product hit all the right notes for me so as i parted the encasing to look at the insides i was greeted with the Diamond Rose lipstick , nicely sculptured at the tip for easy application, and it smelled lush too , yes i have a strange habit of having to smell everything and this had a smell of babies it smelled of Johnson baby lotion to me it made want to sniff longer , but alas i could not i had to move on to the lipstick itself i needed to try it my lips yearned to feel it , the stick of lipstick stood erect waiting to coat my lips in its special colour, which was as i stated Diamond rose. number 263 in the L'oreal range.
When i managed to stop the sniffing i applied the lipstick which seemed to glide on effortlessly, and you could feel it moisturising as it glided along the lips , after application i stood back grabbed some tissue , gently blotted and hey presto, i was done , i admired my new lips i say new because they felt that way the moisturising effect really worked on my lips as they are pretty dry, and as i admired my lips turning left and right whilst looking in the mirror you could get a hint of a twinkle I was very happy with the look and rather surprised with the colour as it is something i would not normally go for.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a bit of gold in their life this lipstick is a great asset for any make up bag or hand - bag and as i write this it has been 5 hours since application and i still don't feel the need to re-apply so it is a lasting lipstick which is ideal for those nights out , and don't worry it still has its twinkle too so well worth any amount of money.
Although mine was free in an offer, you can either apply to L'oreal by filling out an online form and requesting on or you can buy it for as little as £2.95 from amazon and i have to admit that is well it.
*maybe seen else where under my other name Physicalbabe*
When these came out I thought it was a great idea removing the umming and aahing that people normally go through whilst trying to pick a shade of lipstick that might suit their colouring. With this collection L'oreal try to match up each shade of lipstick with your hair colour so for example, blondes, light brunettes, black and so on so that it suits your colouring and you feel as if it were 'made for me'. They line them up on the counter so that the colours move from being for blondes to black and it tells you what hair colour this is aimed at on the side of the tube.
The packaging of this is nice. It is a relective gold colour with the hair colour it is meant to match on the side and the shade name at one end and shade number on the other. In this case it is the colour Orchid and the shade name is 241. To use just remove the lid and twist up. This is probably one of the most well packaged lipsticks that I own and it does look quite expensive, much nicer than some of the plasticy looking ones from the cheaper ranges.
The shade I chose is a deep pink / berry colour which I thought looked great in the tube. When applied it looks nice but nothing amazing, I suppose this is what the natural bit is all about but I can barely see the difference between this and my natural lip colour. The lasting power of this is generally good I find and will last the morning until I reapply at lunch. When you eat and drink it does come off on glasses a bit but not as badly as some lipsticks. The thing I don't like about this though is the texture. I find it quite rough. I'm used to lipsticks (generally cheaper than this) which have a more creamy smooth texture but this just doesn't feel nice to apply, almost a little grainy in application. On the plus side I like the smell, a sort of creamy fruit smell.
These cost £7.82 at Boots and though they are okay lipsticks they just aren't that special. I feel I paid for the packaging not the product and could get the same thing for half the price at Rimmel or Maybelline.
Whenever you see celebs they seem to look quite natural and so I decided I wanted this look without having to actually go au natural!
This was when I first discovered the made for me lipsticks by loreal. They did shades all natural but not only that they offered advice on which one you should buy going from your skin tone and hair colour. The shades are anything from quite dark browns to pearly pinks.
According to my shade I picked up a golden brown colour and at first looking at it was unsure as to what it would look like however I purchased it anyway.
The lipstick container is golden making it look very luxrious (it was as it was quite pricey!) And on the bottom is a little sticker like most other lipsticks which tells you the colour name and number. The lid is again like all other lipsticks simply pull off and then twist the bottom to get the lipstick to move up and down.
On applying the lipstick I found it went on nice and smooth and felt creamy, my lips felt mositurised which was nice as most tend to dry out my lips making the lipstick looked craked and uneven, this thankfully didnt!
The colour was a brilliant match and really bought out my skin tone rather then making me look pale and washed out. Whats great is people dont notice Im wearing lipstick, yet I know personally how much better this makes me look!
It lasted half a day which isnt bad as at work I simply top it up while on my lunch.
Definatley a lipstick worth investing in.
I have never worn lipstick before. Well of course when I was a little girl I used to play dress up and steal my mums lipstick, but apart from that, it was never an item in my make-up bag.
I'm going into my twenties now and for some reason, I was beginning to look a little worn out and colourless, even though I have a natural all year round tan. God knows what i'm going to look like when I get to my forties!
I saw an advert for this product about a month ago and didn't really think much of it, although I do remember thinking that nude lipsticks were a great idea. Just last week I saw the same advert again and decided I would give one of the shades a go, hoping that it would do what it says on the tin.
L'Oreal have started to create make-up for all different skin tones and hair colours so that you can find the most suitable colour for your skin/hair.
This lipstick has been designed to look completely natural but to give you a nice warm glow. The range of shades is below:
For Blondes - Nude and Taffetta are two soft peppery shades for a fresh bright look.
For Brunettes - Dune and Silk are two beige/brown shades with a hint of red to compliment the darkness of your hair.
For Chestnut-Browns - Sienna and Organza are two nudes with a hint of mauve which blends with the hair colour.
For Light-Browns - Cashmere and Orchid are two colours with a hint of pink with a radient shine.
For Fair and Asian Skin - Pearl and Pashmina have a touch of pink and a hint of apricot to light up pale complexions and boost asian skin tone.
For Dark Skin - Bronze and Amber contain warm shades of honey and caramel with a hint of pink and gold to warm up the skin.
The lipstick comes in a nice gold casing which looks very posh and professional. It states the colour and corresponding number on the top of the lid, as with most lipsticks, and also has a small sticker on the side of the lid that states it's a L'Oreal Made For Me Naturals collection, and states which range you have purchase, such as Brunette, Blonde or Dark Skin.
The Color Riche range is great as all of the lipsticks have a very creamy texture and contain Omega 3 nutri-protector and provides great moisturisation for your lips which actually helps to prevent them getting chapped or sore!
Being a dark brunette, I purchased one of the shades suitable for my skin tone and hair colour. I had a choice of either Dune or Silk. The two colours are very different which was surprising, and I ended up buying the darker colour of the two, which was Silk, as modelled by Eva Longoria on the L'Oreal advert.
This is my first experience of actually wearing a lipstick for a whole day! I was quite looking forward to testing it out on my lips when I got home, so as soon as I walked through the door, I wipped it out of my bag and stood infront of the mirror, and I was pleasantly surprised at how accurate the colour actually was. My skin tone is quite tanned and I have almost black hair, so I was a little sceptical about how good the colour would look but it actually suits me!
The lipstick glides on and it's funny, you can actually feel the lipstick providing your lips with moisture and vitamins. The lipstick is not overly shiny, but it's not matte either, it sits in between giving you a natural look.
I didn't quite understand the point in a nude lipstick, why not just go without? Well, even though your lips are naturally quite coloured with a pinky tone or even a reddish tone, these lipsticks just add an even more natural look and to be quite honest, this colour makes my lips look even better, even more natural!
The one thing I will say though is that the lipstick doesn't last my whole working day which is 8 hours. I do need to re-apply my lipstick after i've eaten my lunch, but this is not a problem as the product doesn't actually state that it lasts all day.
All in all, I think this is one of the best cosmetic purchases I have made in a long time and I would definitely recommend this to you. If you're sick of your lips constantly looking red and sore, then tone your lips down with a nude shade. If you're looking to liven up your lips and add abit of colour without it looking to 'in your face', then find the colour that's best for you and add a tint to your lips.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
I have no idea if the price of the product is reasonable as I have never purchased a lipstick before, but in my opinion, £7.99 is abit steep. According to my mum, the average good quality lipstick can last months and months, and I expect that with this lipstick too, so perhaps £7.99 is fairly reasonable?
I must admit, I had a hard time getting hold of the shade I wanted. I had a browse on the internet, and I could not find ONE store that had my lipstick available, infact, I could only find Boots that even sold the lipsticks! I even tried ebay and nobody had it there either. So I went out to my local Superdrug and found the L'Oreal stand, only to discover, my colour wasn't in stock, I asked a near-by employee and she had a look in the drawers underneath the stand and couldn't find one. I ended up going to my 24 hour Tesco to find they had just TWO left of the shade I wanted, one of which had already been used, yuck.
I don't know if the shade 'Silk 231' is limited in stock, or if it's just an overly popular shade, but if you like this colour, you best be quick!
So you can find this lipstick in some Asda stores, Tesco, Boots or Superdrug, all for the price of £7.99.
