“ Brand: L'Oréal / Type: Cream „
I have this L'Oreal Crea Creme in two different colours - one is Cosmic silver, which is obviously a silver colour and another in a light apple green colour, which the sticker has been ripped off the bottom, so I am unaware of the name of the shade.
~ Packaging ~
The make-up comes in a translucent dark blue plastic pot with a twist off lid with a window showing the product through. 'L'Oreal Paris' is written across the window.
The bottom of this product has a sticker on with the name of the shade and it also says 'make-up for eyes, lips and cheeks'.
I personally don't think green is a suitable colour to wear on your lips or cheeks and silver is a colour you may also struggle to get away with on your lips or cheeks.
~ Use ~
The lid twists off easily to reveal the crème. It's quite shimmery in both the silver and green colours that I have. It has a creamy texture and can be applied with a brush, sponge applicator or your fingertips.
I have tried all three ways of application and I have found that it is picked up easily onto my brush, applicator or finger and it also applies to my skin easily.
I normally only use this product as an eye shadow.
It is not so creamy that it slides off your skin. Strangely I find that it feels quite powdery on my skin.
It is quite pigmented, but I do find it looks better when you build the colour up a bit for a bolder look. I have found it to be long lasting and it does not slide off my eyelids at all.
I would not normally use these products on my lips and cheeks unless they were more natural colours, but I have tried the silver one for the purpose of this review.
It doesn't actually look bad on my lips and does not appear cheap and tacky as I suspected it would. It is easy to apply, but it feels a bit gritty, like there are tiny gritty bits in it, which could be the tiny shimmery bits. It does not feel creamy or moisturising on my lips at all, perhaps a little bit dry, but it is fairly long lasting.
On my cheeks I rubbed it in so that it almost disappeared so it just adds shimmer to my skin. I couldn't feel the shimmery bits in it on my cheeks though. I would not wear it on my cheeks again and although I would consider wearing it on my cheeks in a more natural colour. I think it is a bit too shimmery for my tastes.
~ Price and availability ~
I have found that L'Oreal have discontinued this product, but it is still available to buy in some drug stores and you can buy it brand new on www.ebay.co.uk for around £2.50.
~ Overall ~
Overall I think this is fairly good as an eye shadow. It is long lasting and the colour is good, although I do like to build on the colour.
I like the little pot that it comes in and although I probably wouldn't use this again on my lips or cheeks it makes quite a nice eye shadow.
What is it?-
This product is a creme eyeshadow by Loreal Paris. Loreal also have products for hair care, cosmetics, skin care, styling etc. Loreal is a well known brand which is popular in its products.
This eyeshadow creme comes in a little pot, it doesn't actually tell me how much is in it but it's around 3.5cm in diameter and 2cm in depth. The pot is a shiney silver colour which also has a little see through bit of plastic revealing the "01 galactic blue" shade. This price retails at around £3 from drugstores. It's a pale dark ish blue with a lot of shimmer in it. The see through plastic bit of the screw on lid also has "Loreal Paris" written on it in gold.
There's not much information on the back of the pot besides the bar code, colour and "Loreal Paris Crea Creme" Which is understandable for a little pot, but they could have squeezed on there what you can use the product for.
The product actually feels quite powdery if you touch it lightly, but after getting the creme onto your fingers/brush a little, it becomes clearly a creme. Applying this product it's actually not the colour it is in the pot. It becomes a lot lot paler and is quite clearly just glitter with the tiniest hint of blue.
I found that this product was easy to apply, but then you couldn't really tell if you'd applied it properly due to the lack of colour it gave.
What I thought-
Well unless you want shimmer then there's no point paying the price of this product. It creased and wasn't blue in the least. It seems like you get a lot in the pot though, which would be good is the product even worked.
There are quite alot of cream eyeshadows on the market at the moment. Most of them aren't any good and tend to crease. I've found that L'oreal make a really gorgeous one. I use the one called "Twilight Brown" This is a really lovely shade of brown and has little gold flecks in it. The shadow has a funny texture and feels soft and fluffy. It is one of those multipurpose products and you can also apply it on your lips and cheeks. It's so easy to apply as you just use your fingertips. It glides on beautifully and I found that it stays on all day. I've tried a few cream shadows and this is the best, price wise and performance wise. I think it was about £2.99 for a little pot. The only bad point is that there are only four different colors to choose from.
