This eyeliner is quite simply the best I have ever had, no question. I have searched for years looking for the best out there for big Cleopatra style flicks and have finally found it, and its affordable.
Colour and consistency- the black is really dark and does not look 'wet' when applied. It dries almost instantly (so doesn't smudge as easily as other eyeliners). The type of liquid is also superior to other brands because it is smooth and as such you don't see 'lines' of where you have applied the colour. It looks more like you've applied marker pen than it does paint.
Application - The nib is not a small paintbrush but a kind of sponge that ends in a sharp point which holds the eyeliner well enough to complete two eyes. This also allows for easy application, even for girls who find putting on liquid eyeliner difficult.
Packaging - The tube is sturdy, looks great (classic make up colours of black and gold) and has a screw top that doesn't open easily when left to the rough and tumble of a handbag.
Durability - quite simply, it stays on til you take it off. It requires rubbing not just water and for this reason it also doesn't smudge whilst its on your face - it either comes off or stays in place.
Removal - the eyeliner is really easy to remove, it comes off with make up remover like it has been lifted away (as a sort of solid) instead of mixing with the remover to get more black and grey smudges everywhere.
I have been using this eye-liner for a while and I have found it to be one of the better liquid eye-liner. I use eye-liner quite a lot, but when I first started I would usually use the pencil eye-liners. But since discovering liquid eye-liners, I have never looked back!
When applying this eye-liner it is very easy and I think the type of brush that comes in the eye-liner, makes it so much easier. The thin, pointed applicator makes application easy and effortless. The applicator is made of a soft material, which makes it nice to use on the eye-lid. I really don't like the eye-liners which have really hard applicator, I just think it makes it better to use on the eye.
I defiantly find that this eye-liner is brilliant if you want a brilliant precession eye-liner. And because of the fact the tip is thin and soft you are able to line your eye perfectly.
I find the lasting power with this liquid eye-liner, is brilliant, as other eye-liners I have tried have faded off quite quickly. This eye-liner stays on brilliantly and from morning and until I take off my make-up at night, the eyeliner is the exact same from when I first applied it.
This product is easy to open and the screw on lid means that the tube is easily opened and when closed is secured so that no product can come out. I also find it handy that this tube is thin, so that it is able to fit into any hand bag with complete ease!
I found that this eye-liner lased me for quite a long while, which I found brilliant as many other liquid eye-liners run out very quickly. I bought this from Boots for £6.49, but at the time there was an offer one them. I would say that the price is a little expensive, but you are paying for a really good quality eye-liner. I know that there are more expensive ones out there, but also cheaper ones, and I would say that this a product that is in the middle and a perfect average price.
I would defiantly recommend this eye-liner to anyone, because I haven't had any problems with this product. I can honestly say that I don't think I would use or purchase any other eye-liners other than this one. For me the best positive about this eye-liner is it's lasting quality and staying power.

No matter how bad a day I'm having or how lazy i feel, I will always at least wear either lipstick or eye liner. They are my make up go to's so I take the selection of my eye liners very seriously. I like to experiment by trying different brands so after my friend recommended the superliner to me, I tested it and swiftly bought it in Black.
Firstly, it's crucial that my eye liners are easy to hold and use, for example I'm not keen on these eye liners with the tiny fiddly handles. Check. L'oreals liner is very easy to use and you don't have to constantly re dip the pen, it will easily line your lid in one go.
I like to experiment with my make up quite a lot and one my favourite things to do is draw patterns or details around my eye as well as actually lining the eye so it is very important the colour is very bold and creates clear lines. Check. The colour is strong and because its not a brush, you don't get stray brush hairs spurting out at awkward angles so the lines are usually smooth. It also allows you to create fine lines to make more detailed designs.
I wear contact lenses and as much as I try, I am a bit of a fidget with my eyes which is a problem if you're wearing eye make up so durability is a big must. Check. This eye liner has lasted me full night before, even if it has been slightly smudged but i still thank thats fine and best of all it doesnt take hours of scrubbing to get it off. A minute of gentle persuasion and the liner is gone. No panda eyes, ace!
I got it in a BOGOF deal but the actual price isn't too expensive anyway and I definitely think it is worth the money. Not called super for nothing you know.
This by far is one of my favourite liquid eyeliners.
Its really easy to apply as the applicator wand is like a felt tip pen. This is good because this way I can not only do a nice thick line on my eye, I can also do a slick thin line.
Applying is also very easy and smooth - it tends to glide on and if you make a mistake, its easily amended without giving you a black eye like most other liquid eyeliners.
However, the only thing which I would say is a downer about this is that; because I'm one of them girls who likes her top liner to look dark on the eye, this one tends to lighten up after a while (but however it doesn't come off or fade).
On the whole, this eyeliner is a good buy and I would definitely recommend it and I got it on a good price :D.
L'Oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss
I have previously tried liquid eyeliners, and have not had much success with them, so I had just gave up. But a few weeks ago I saw my friend, and I saw she was wearing liquid eyeliner, and it looked fabulous. She told me that it was all thanks to L'Oreal Superliner. So I popped down to my local Boots and bought this liquid eyeliner for myself to try my luck. I got it in 'Carbon Gloss'. It was £6.49, which for me is a little bit pricey, but there are far more expensive products on the market, and if it made my eyes look as good as my friends then I was well prepared to pay the price!
I was very happy to buy the Superliner from L'Oreal, as I have tried a lot of their products, and most of the time, I have not been let down. L'Oreal claims that Superliner Carbon Gloss gives a quick and easy application, that you can create lines as thick or thin as you want and that it is long lasting and stays looking intense without smudging. - Information I took from L'Oreal's website.
The Superliner comes in a thin, tall black tube. Most of the tube is taken up by the handle of the eyeliner, and there is a small bit at the bottom where the liquid eyeliner is kept. The tube is black, with bright neon blue writing. There isn't really much information on the tube. The lid/handle is easy to twist, and you then pull it out of the tube to show the applicator. The applicator is sponge tipped, and looks a bit like a felt tip pen, it is quite long, thin and flexible.
To use the eyeliner is really simple. As I've already said the handle of the liner is really tall, which means that it is easy to hold, and the handle fits perfectly in your hand. To use it, you just simply dip the applicator into the tube of eyeliner, and then do thin strokes along the top of your eyelid. Because the applicator is thin it means that you can get thin neat lines easily, also as it is flexible the applicator kind of bends when your applying it which makes it a nice smooth line, instead of a hard jagged line. This is one of the easiest eyeliners I have found to apply.
I find it is easier to start by applying the eyeliner in the middle of your eyelid and then work your way to the end of your eyelid, then go to the inner corner of your eye and apply it there. As when you first dip the applicator into the eyeliner you get quite a lot of eyeliner on the applicator so if you start at the inner corner of your eye then most likely the line will be thicker then you want it to be, and will end up looking like a thick blob rather then a neat line, so it's best to start in the middle of your eyelid. If you are unsure about how to apply liquid eyeliner, there are some very good videos on Youtube which helped me out a lot! A very good tip I found out is that if you accidentally make the line wobbly or too thick, then just get a cotton ear cleaning bud, lick it and just wipe at the mistake, it straightens out the line or makes it look less thick and neater. I find that one dip into the eyeliner is enough for one eye.
Once you've done the small thin line across your eyelid, you can always make it thicker by just applying a bit more until you get the desired look you want. It is very easy to get lots of different looks with this eyeliner, such as just a small thin line for a daytime look, or the thick black Amy Winehouse look for nights out. I really love the variation of looks you can create with just this one product.
I find that the eyeliner does dry quickly when it is on your eyelid, and it does not smudge like it promised, so I am very happy about that. The colour when it is dry is a very nice intense black. I find that throughout the day this eyeliner does stay on and last. In the past I have tried eyeliners that come off after a few hours, but this does really tend to stay on for the whole day. However it comes off nice and easily with a make up wipe at night without any problems.
I'm not sure how much product you get as it doesn't actually say, but this has lasted me a good 4-5 months, I wear it a lot! It really does depend how much you wear it, but it does say to throw out after 6 months. I really don't think I would buy any other liquid eyeliner except this. It is extremely easy to use, you can get any look you want with it, and it stays on all day without smudging. What more could you want!
I love liquid eyeliner. I don't wear it on a day to day basis but I like to wear it when I go out I the evening, or during the day if I am doing anything smart. I find that adding it makes me instantly look more polished and made up.
Last time I was in Boot's you got extra Advantage points with L'Oreal Superliner so I thought I would give it a go as L'Oreal tend to make very good value for money products. I paid £6.99 for mine so I would class it as a mid-priced eyeliner.
The packaging of this eyeliner is black with different coloured writing depending on what colour you go for. I went for carbon gloss which meant the writing was a pretty hideous green colour - I much prefer the gold lettering of the normal black! I am not a person that is really bothered about packaging of make-up though so I didn't let that put me off!
The applicator is sponge tipped. It is like the nib of a fine felt tip and is slightly bendy. I find this eyeliner incredible easy to put on, and one you get the knack it is really easy to vary the width of the line. Even I can manage a nice thick line of top tapering off to finer flicks of a cat-eye look with this applicator and I am rubbish at putting on eyeliner! If you find it hard I would recommend this one as it is the easiest to use I have ever found.
As I said earlier, I went for carbon gloss which is meant have carbon black pigments that make the black more intense. I have never been able to see the different between this and normal black in any product, to me black is black and anything less intense is dark grey. This could be because I have dark eyes and lashes anyway and perhaps the difference would be more noticeable on a fair person.
The eyeliner lasts fairly well. If I put it on in the morning it lasts until the evening, but you might need to reapply if you are going out for the night. In a night out in a sweaty cub it hold it's own fairly well but it does often disappear by the end of the night but I am yet to find a liquid eyeliner that doesn't.
I don't have particularly sensitive eyes but some cheaper brands of liquid eyeliner make my eyes sting and this one doesn't. I have slept in it before (yes I know it's naughty) and my eyes were fine in the morning.
I'm sure you're all sick of Loreal reviews by now, it seems like anytime a certain brand moves up a tier that everyone seems to pull all of their random products out of the woodwork and churn out review after review about the same brand. It wasn't until yesterday when I was reading yet another Loreal review that I realised the next product on my list of things to review was actually a Loreal product. I suppose I'm now one of those people that I've been complaining about, oops!
The product I'll be reviewing today is Loreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss. This has been my go to liquid eyeliner for roughly 2 years now, and I refuse to use anything else to line my eyes. It is described as an ultra-lasting, precision tip liner and I will quite happily agree with both of these points.
The Super Liner comes in a long black tube, most of which is made up of the liner handle. This is for easier application of the liner as the handle will fit comfortably in any hand. The part of the tube with the product in it is roughly 2 inches long and you simply unscrew the lid to reveal the applicator. There isn't much information on the tube, but they do provide you with the brand and product name in a pretty blue colour and there is a label that informs you to only keep this product for 6 months after you start using it.
The applicator couldn't be easier to use and is pretty much fool proof. It's very difficult to make a mistake with this product. The sponge tip applicator is long, thin and flexible. It tapers at the end which makes getting a perfect application much easier too, this will ensure that the liner is thinner on the inner corners and thicker at the outer corners. When I said the sponge tip is flexible, I in no way meant that it was flimsy. This is flexible, making it easier to use, but sturdy making it so that the tip won't be flopping around all over the place like certain other liners I've tried.
Due to the shape of the applicator you can achieve hundreds of different looks with this liner. You can create the thinnest of liner, or the thickest, it's totally down to your preference. I tend to use a thin line of liner and then flick it out at the end, creating a winged out effect to elongate my eyes as they are very big and round - think South Park character eyes. Not cute.
You can also create little designs with this liner and have used it to create very intricate patterns and designs on my face for makeup shows and costume looks.
The actual liner is quite a thin consistency, but will dry instantly to prevent any drips. It will dry to quite a shiny finish and I can assure you that once this in place, it won't be budging until you remove your makeup at night. I have put this liner through hell with tears, water fights, food fights (mashed potatoes and cake to the face, anyone?), foam fights and anything else you can think of and you can guarantee that it'll still be perfectly in place afterwards! This doesn't mean that removing it is difficult though, I remove all of my makeup with a Clinique liquid soap and it only takes a few seconds of gentle rubbing to totally remove this eyeliner.
I can't seem to find anywhere on the packaging that tells me how much product you get, but it will certainly last you the full 6 months without drying out at all. It's a bit of a shame to throw it out when it still has some product left, but I'd rather throw out a little bit of product than get an eye infection from any bacteria that may have grown over time. This liner will cost £6.19 from Boots and is 100% worth the money in my opinion. The application couldn't be easier, they staying power is fantastic and the looks you can create are endless, whats not to like?
Loreal do test on animals but are making it their mission to stop animal testing by 2013.
Despite the animal testing, I do recommend this 100% and will be rewarding this with 5 stars.
Thank you for reading!
I have generally always used cheap liquid eyeliners but recently decided to splash out and try one of the more expensive brands. I decided to choose the L'Oreal Superliner mainly because of the name. I really wanted to know just how super this eyeliner was going to be and whether or not it was going to live up to its name.
The eyeliner comes in a shiny black tube. At the bottom is the product information, brand name etc (written in gold) but at the top there are some really pretty gold stars. I really liked this aspect of the packaging as I hadn't seen anything like this before and basically, I thought it was pretty. The colour I purchased was called Black Sparkle to the packaging really goes well with the name. Other colours of this product are packaged differently. Just over two thirds of the way down the tube, there is a gold line where you can see that this is where the lid comes off.
What is different about this liquid eyeliner is that the pen is made out of foam, supposedly making application easier and smoother. I have to agree with this though as I had no problems whatsoever when I applied this to my eyelid. Starting from the middle of my eye, I began to draw a line towards the outer corner of my eye and then from the middle into the inside corner. The colour was lovely and dark but it also had a bit of a shimmer to it. Instead of being very dramatic, the added sparkle gave this eyeliner that little bit extra, compared to just black eyeliners. I also thought that this took away some of the harshness of being too dark.
I was using this as I was getting ready for a night out so I also used eye shadow on top of the eye liner. I did have to reapply the eyeliner just to make it that bit darker and so I made sure it stood out. Using eye shadow on top took away some of the colour but as my base line was already drawn, it was even easier just to go over the top of it. Unlike some cheap liquid eye liners, this one stayed in place for the whole night, even with me being out drinking, so I was extremely impressed when I got home. It is also very easy to remove. I used Wilkinson's facial wipes and the eye liner came off without any hassle. There was no hard rubbing to remove my make up so my eyes were not irritated at any point.
The L'Oreal Superliner is currently available for £5.19 at Superdrug online which, although more than I would usually pay, is well worth the money. It has a great colour and is very long lasting. I will definitely be buying this again when I run out!
~Whats so super about this liner?~
A long time ago in a free makeup gift far far away there was a free L'Oreal Super Liner which came as part of the gift with purchase that you got when you spent a certain amount on L'Oreal products. I eventually ended up with a number of the gifts and was really very pleased with the contents of the funky gift box as it contained a number of full sized products including the L'Oreal Super Liner. Having not used the product prior to that I was rather dubious about how to best use it, as I certainly didn't want to end up with an over made up black eye liner look which I feel can look rather dated if done badly.
After having inspected my tube of L'Oreal Super Liner I was pleased with the quality of it as it was nicely presented in a sleek looking wand type container that appeared like it would be easy to use. The slim shaped liner container didn't take much effort to open and once I had pulled out the applicator I was surprised to see that it didn't have a brush on the end of it. On further inspection it seemed to have something along the lines of a slightly spongy yet slim pen tip affair instead, so I decided to have a few practice runs with the L'Oreal Super Liner by running it along the top of my hand to see if I could manage a straight line with it before plastering it on.
~Easy on the liner baby~
I soon discovered that the technique needed to use the L'Oreal Super Liner was really easy to master as once I had dipped the applicator back into the wand and coated it with enough of the nicely coloured liner it was just a case of applying it in a steady line with a steady hand. Easy peasy! Sooooooo......after a few trial runs on the hand I moved onto the eye area to see if I could turn myself into a sultry doe eyed diva with just a few flicks of the L'Oreal Super Liner. After a while I found that using the applicator was simple enough as it glided along my eye line easily in a trouble free way that left a very light coating of the liner in place.
The slim tipped applicator can be used to give a very fine line with practice and for a thicker more defined look I found all I needed was a little more of the actual liner product on the applicator to achieve that. Although the picture shown here depicts the L'Oreal Carbon Gloss Liner my own liners were the ones that come in the burnished gold coloured casings. These seem to have a lighter shade of black in them that I feel is verging on a very dark smokey grey black shade and they seem to give a lighter coloured yet long lasting finish on the eye area when applied.
~How to wear your Super Liner~
When wearing the L'Oreal Super Liner I found that not only did the smokey coloured liner look good on its own, when used to create a frame for some smokey eye shadows, the L'Oreal Super Liner was really good as a base type liner to go under a variety of coloured glitter liners. When using the L'Oreal Super Liner that way I found it very useful as I was able to create an ever changing number of looks by altering the glitters and their colours to suit my mood. For instance the L'Oreal Super Liner looked stunning when layered with either smokey gunmetal or silver glitter liner for winter evenings and was equally as lovely when worn with a pale gold glitter liner in summer.
I like the way that when using the L'Oreal Super Liner it is very easy to create such a variety of looks using the product as a base. Not only is this easy to do as the L'Oreal Super Liner is very simple to get the hang of, it also seems to last for a good part of the day with no flaking once its in place. When wanting to clean the remainder of the L'Oreal Super Liner from the eye area I find you don't need to rub it at all as it comes away with very little effort when removing it. As there is no rubbing needed to remove the liner there has been no eye irritation or redness under the eyes which I feel is rather a bonus.
~Price and rating~
Although I didn't buy my 3 L'Oreal Super Liners directly as they were in the gift set, I do know that they sell for £6 or so and I feel that they do offer reasonable value at that price as the quality of the liner when on the skin around the eyes is very nice. I still have 1 L'Oreal Super Liner left in my stash to use up and I will certainly consider buying more of the product when that runs out. The L'Oreal Super Liners are much better than many black/ grey toned liner products I have used, as not only do they stay on well with a nice light sheen of colour, they are also easy to take off when its time to wash and cleanse your skin.
Over all I feel that the L'Oreal Super Liner is a good product that many people will find easy to use. The effect of the liner when applied is light and neat once you get used to using it and it stays in place around the eyes with no flaking at all even after a good number of hours. As I found that I had no problems at all when using the L'Oreal Super Liner I feel it deserves a 4 star product rating. If you want a sleek, smart and neat yet defined look to your eyes you can do far worse than try out a L'Oreal Super Liner.
Just before Christmas I bought just over £15's worth of L'Oreal make up in my local Boots. As a reward incentive I was given a free gift consisting of a festive gift box with several full sized L'Oreal products to try. One of the items was a L'Oreal superliner in black. I have always used kohl pencil eyeliner, so was keen to try out a liquid eye liner.
The L'Oreal superliner comes in a plastic cylinder case with screw top. The case is shaded making it easy to hold. The applicator is sponged tipped and looks a bit like a fine felt tipped pen. L'Oreal say that you need only dip the applicator into the base once to have enough liner for each eye. I have never been that good at applying eye liner and often end up with one line thicker than the other. To apply I find hold my eye at the corner and gently pull, stretching the skin and making drawing a straight line fairly easy.
The first time I tried this eye liner was a bit of a disaster! I found it quite difficult to get the line straight and unlike my pencil, smudging the line didn't work. However it is very easy to remove this eye liner using facial cleanser so I was able to keep practicing! After several attempts I got the look I wanted and am now really pleased with my free gift!
I like a thin line both on my upper lid and underneath my lower eye lashes. I now find that the sponged tip applicator makes this very easy to achieve. If you prefer a thicker line then simply keep applying, building up the line until you have your desired look. Unlike my previous Kohl pencil, this eye liner is far less prone to smudge. I usually apply it in the morning and it lasts all day, although I would reapply if I were going out in the evening.
Overall I would recommend you give this eye liner a try, but if like me you haven't used a liquid eye liner in the past then you may need to practice to get it right! Boots have this eye liner on sale for £6.19; not the cheapest eye liner on the market, but you know you are worth it!
I have already written a review on Rimmel's Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eye Definer and made it clear that this is definitely my favourite eye liner. However I received L'Oreal's superliner as a free gift and so I will also review this.
When I do my eyes I tend to use pencil eye liner for two reasons. The first is that the pencil just seems to give a less harsh, sharp finish compared to it's liquid comparisons and secondly is that my hand really isn't steady enough to use a liquid one anyway!
Just after Christmas last year I needed to purchase some new foundation. I opted for a L'Oreal one and as such received a free gift box as I had spent over a certain amount. One of the products inside the box was the superliner in a silver black colour.
The product is in a golden tube which also has gold writing- the writing doesn't stand out much with it being similar in colour to the tube. When you twist the lid of the tube you unscrew it and reveal the super liners pen. It is identical to any other you would find in a liquid eye liner in that it is flexible, soft and comes to a point for you to draw on a fine line.
As I mentioned I don't like liquid eye liners as I think they can appear harsh looking but this one was silvery and so I thought I would give it a go. What I actually have used it for is to add a hint of glimmer and shine to my pre applied pencilled eye liner. I find this really works well. It applies easily just like a pen, and as I already have my eye liner drawn on I am just skimming over it with a silvery tint. It looks lovely and just gives your eyes a slightly different look.
I have had this product for six months now and don't use it daily but it is still going strong. It is showing no signs of drying up, which is nice as I like a product to last. It seems to dry quickly too which is a bonus.
Having quickly checked the Boots website I can tell you that you can buy this eye liner for £5.99 in black and I think that is a very reasonable price as it lasts very well.
I would recommend this if you like liquid eye liner. It is good value from a well known, trusted brand.
L'Oreal is a world renowned cosmetics and beauty company that was founded back in 1907 by Eugene Schuellethat which now produces a wide range of beauty and cosmetic products designed to enhance female beauty (or male).
It has one of the most vast selections of cosmetic products that can be found on the market today and one of those current products is the L'Oreal Super Liner.
Now up until very recently I have never really bothered with eye liners, when I have attempted to use them in the past I would always go for the kohl pencil liners but would find them extremely tricky to apply, by the end they would look smudged and very uneven, neither eye would match and you could say that I would start to resemble that of a panda, not a good look for anyone so because of this I would get extremely frustrated and the pencil would end up in the bin.
After years of not wearing eye liner and a very keen interest in anything cosmetics developing as I grew older I decided to bite the bullet and purchase another but this time around I decided to go for a liquid one, many friends had raved at how much easier the liquid ones are to apply and how much more the eyes can look defined. Knowing of my past history with eyeliners I decided that I couldnt look any worse than when I used the kohl pencil many years back..at worst it could only look like my 3yr old son had attacked me with a black felt tip pen.
The L'Oreal Super Liner is described as an ultra lasting, precision tip liner, L'Oreal claim that the Super liner is a liquid liner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks, that colour is applied with precision and ease and that it dries without smudging.
The eyeliner itself comes in a tall black cylinder shaped tube which narrows to the top, this is where you unscrew the lid from and are presented with the tip liner as part of the lid, personally I feel that this pen tip really does resemble a felt tip pen.
The tube has a flat base so this allows for it to be put down on a flat service while you use and I would like to have the opportunity to say that ive had a couple of clumsy moment in the past where I have knocked this over and I have never had an issue with spillage, although Im not saying try shaking it upside down to find out just in case.
So far I've found that the super liner is available in two different colours.
Carbon Gloss is an intense black, matte finish that is extremely bold and striking, the other is Black crystal, its the same striking black but it has an added bit of shimmer and sparkle to it, great for nights out and glaming up your look.
The Product itself, well I do really like the design of the sponge tipped pen as it retains enough ink to do at least one eye at a time before needing to dip it back in. To be able to get more liner all you need to do is dip it back into the base, it really is just like dipping it into an inkwell.
The tip is not too thick which I really like as it means that I can create a nice thin, well defined line and build it up more intensely if I like.
Application isnt too bad once you get use to it, the first few times I tried it I found myself suffering from shaky hand syndrome and the lines were really not that great but the liquid liner was a big improvement on the kohl pencil hands down, I was really liking it.
I find by holding the Skin taught from the outside corner of the eye really does aid in the application and make it much easier, the liner itself glides on effortlessly making it easy to sweep along the upper lash line creating a nice smooth, sleek line,
the fine tip also means that you can create your line as fine or as thick as you wish, if you want a more bolder, more visible line then you just need to apply a little more pressure and gradually build it up to the desired look, its as simple as that.
Overall I do really like this eye liner, especially the tip applicator.
The carbon gloss gives a really nice dark line and I love how I can control the thickness of the line which I am creating, whether it be a nice fine one for every day wear or a far bolder, statement line for a night out this truly is a great precision eye liner that can give your eyes some great shape and definition.
The liner itself wears pretty well but does it have the stay factor... well I havent had any issues of smudging , flaking or finding the liner on other places that it shouldnt be although I can apply it in the morning and by the end of the day it will have started to wear off, my straight lines start to look a little un even and worn in places but that is based on approx 8 hours of wear. Now this 8 hours doesnt match up to the guaranteed 12 hour wear which L'Oreal claim but I personally feel that this eye liner really does have everything else going for it and feel that 8 hours is really good going so I would certainly say it does have some staying factor and is worth the buy.
The liner is extremely easy to remove, a facial wipe or some facial cleanser and the liner is completely removed, none caught up in between the lashes of your upper lash line which I always found an issue the kohl pencils before.
Now for those of you who suffer sensitivity issues, according to L'Oreal this Eye liner is opthalmologiically tested so should not irritate people who are sensitive to cosmetic products around the eyes. I personally suffer from sensitive skin and I have not had any problems or issues with irritation from this eye liner at all so it meets the standards on a personal level for me there, although just remember everyone is different.
The only downside Ive found is that using this on a daily basis it only lasts me approx 6 - 8 weeks as there is only a small amount contents wise, although the product only retails at £5.99p so its not a huge issue in having to keep repurchasing every eight weeks as its reasonably priced for what it is.
You can find L'Oreal Super liners in most shops which sell L'Oreal cosmetics such as Boots or Super drugs, even some super markets.
Overall a really good liquid liner from L'Oreal that I would highly recommend, as long as you can shake the Shaky hand syndrome.
Liquid eyeliner has always been a must have make-up item for me aswell as mascara so as you can imagine I was very pleased when I purchased Loreal telescopic mascara (I have written a review on this) and got this eyeliner free.
So far I can't really fault it. I have the black crystal one which gives a nice glistening effect but not too over the top so it is perfectly suitable for daytime use aswell as night.
It has a bendy wand type head which makes applying it with one stroke very easy and lasts all day. There is also a ball in the tub which prevents the eyeliner clumping or drying out which I think is good as I have only seen nail varnishes that have this. At the end of the day it can be easily removed with make-up wipes.
The packaging is very slick and stylish for an eyeliner and the brand loreal is a well known trusted brand.I would definatly recommend the superliner if you where thinking about buying a liquid eyeliner.
It has been a while since I have really invested in a beauty product but as of lately I have become a big fan of liquid eyeliner. I feel it really enhances my eyes and so I was on the look out for a decent one as my first one was from Primark and although ok, I wanted a more pen like one that was easier to apply. After searching all of the brands, a lot had brushes that were too flimsy and fine but then I came across the L'Oreal one which seemed to have a more defined brush head for applying and so I decided to give it a go as it was reasonably priced too.
L'Oreal are a brand that I trust and have been using for a good while now. They are not a brand I regularly buy cosmetics from but with their eye liner I just thought I wanted a brand with a good reputation. With liquid eye liner, most brands stick to a black cylinder design for the packaging so it's not really that this was what swayed me.
The L'Oreal Super Liner comes in a tall black cylinder shape which narrows at the top and in blue metallic writing has the logo and details on it. It is described as an ultra-lasting, precision tip liner and it is a case of just untwisting the lid and then the pen coming out. It is an easy to hold lid for applying and the brush seems to get just enough of the liner on the brush without looking too clumpy.
The colour that I picked the liner in was carbon black, as I am someone who likes to go for the smoky look and so wanted it to go on noticeably. To apply it is very straightforward, well depending on if you have a shaky hand or not. I just got the liner and drew a line neatly along my eye, just above the lashes. The only thing is that sometimes the liner runs out and you have to dip it in and go over bits which is when it starts to get a little bit messy.
I did think the brush would be a bit sturdier but I did still find I was pressing it on sideways rather than drawing the line along with ease. The eye did have a solid, bold line on it once I was done with it but it was uneven and I did have to go over it a few times to really get it perfect as I hate if it is a bit uneven as it looks messy.
In terms of comparing it to other liquid eye liners that I have used in the past it does have a great look this one, it stays on all night and remains strong which is always a good thing. It is also easy to remove, literally a cotton bud will wipe it off and it doesn't remain, it comes off perfectly. I think it was easy to apply but I do like the ones that are more of a pen if you can get hold of them as they are easy to apply and of course you don't have to keep dipping them into the pot to get more black liner on them.
I always use this when I go out and have already had it for a few weeks and feel that it is already starting to seem like there isn't much left in the pot. I have used it about 5 or so times but there is never a lot of liner in these which is the annoying part. The fact it runs out when drawing the line is not a good sign, so it will probably need a replacement very soon. The good thing though is that it wasn't very expensive so it is affordably replaced.
I purchased mine in Boots but of course the usuals like Boots and Superdrug are your best bet to get hold of L'Oreal cosmetics. It is £5.99 which is a bargain and at Boots you will also collect your Advantage Card Points as well which always helps. I think this particular product only comes in the shade Black but this is the most common anyway.
