When it comes to concealer it isn't what I ever think of as an essential item in my make up collection rally. I use a decent foundation and use a decent powder over that too and feel the coverage that I get is more than acceptable. However the other day I spotted this little product in my local Poundland store costing of course a pound and seeming as I had huge bags under my eyes as I was unwell at the time and a few spots had put in an appearance I thought it had to be tried considering its a L'Oreal product going so cheaply! The Packaging: What you get is tube of product made of see-through plastic to one end of it then the other end has a silver coloured lid to it which is a screw on/off type and holds a wand applicator with a brush one end of tat. Down the sides of the tube we are told that it is L'Oreal Paris True Match Concealer (and in French), that my option of colour is 'warm', that it contains 5.2ml of product and contact details for L'Oreal are given, then on the base of the product I am told that it is the light/medium colour shade (other colours are available to which there are 9 colours within this range) and thats it. Simple looking packaging this and easy to use but not one bit fancy or anything, its simply functional. The Concealer Itself: So you get the tube which is easy to open and to close. It has a shortish white plastic 'wand' which is easy to control and a short natural coloured brush that is small and flexible to the bottom of that, again which is easy to control. The liquid isn't drippy but not a cream either and the only problem I have had with this is how much product clings to the brush and I need to remove rather alot of it on the top of the tube before applying it. It seems unfragranced to me and you just dot this wherever you have imperfections on your face or any discoloration and the likes. I as I mentioned earlier had dark circles and bags under my eyes and a few spots here there. I simply wiped some of this on to those problems (you don't need much at all) on a clean face before using other make-up products over it. Its not a good idea to use the brush given to apply it as it wipes it everywhere and isn't a blending tool and also not hygienic to do this with so I use ether a clean finger or a cosmetic sponge. This is easy to blend, contains no fragrance and is smooth and soft to use. It blends well with my skin tone, you just need to pick what you think you are as it sinks into the skin and you can't see it at all so it really is a 'True match'. Does It Disguise Anything Though?: Actually yes it does in my humble opinion. It stays put all day long and doesn't crack, crease or flake and works silently! I can't feel on my skin and it covers up skin discoloration brilliantly and all day long. My small spots vanished under this product and my big ones you could see as they were raised but this did help to take the angry red colour out of them and make them look less shiny so I felt better about myself. The only issue with this product that I have is its availability. You need to hunt this one out in discount stores (like I did) or on markets or Google it online as I haven't ever seen this in major shops such a Boots. I have found out that you can get it on Ebay and the likes at about £5.00 a tube and that to me seems a very good price and I will certainly buy this again when I need it, which I won't need to for ages as a little of this great product goes a very long way indeed!
