      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A really nice daytime powder.

      Technical:
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder

Size: Presented as a 55mm circular flat pressed powder

      DESCRIPTON:

Packaged in a cellophane outer with icons on the bottom advising the user that the shelf life is 12 months once the product is opened. The cellophane is quickly dispensed with and the twist click to open the compact is fairly easy to use and snaps shut. But fiddly for arthritic hands or anyone who finds small twist type openings difficult.

The powder is contained within a clear plastic compact. On first opening the power is covered with a layer of clear film to protect the powder in transit and ensure that it arrives in pristine condition.

      REVIEW:

As a lover of L'oreal moisturising products every now and then I dip into their make-up range as well. This powder is one of the more successful purchases and it lasts really well. The choice of colours is huge and this is definitely a product worth buying in-store first time to get the colour right. I bought mine in an indoor Superdrug, so did not have a chance to check the colour outside, however, I was confident that I had found a good match and went ahead with the purchase. I spend most of my working day indoors anyway, so a good indoor match wa what was required. I don't know if a shade either way would make much difference, but I have been very pleased with the colour match to my skin.

      IN USE:

The powder is especially useful to set foundation for day make-up when a glittery or mineral powder is not required. I tend to use a powder daily now that I am a little older and it sets my make-up, giving a translucent natural looking finish and banishing shine brilliantly. If I am going to an important meeting I touch up in the afternoon, but generally this is a good daytime product that does its job and lasts through the working day.

I tend to apply my foundation with my fingertips and wash my hands before applying the rest of my make-up and finishing with a dusting of powder. I apply my powder with a long handled large powder brush and I get the exact results I set out to achieve.

The fragrance is barely discernible, but pleasant all the same.

I have yet to find a pressed powder I rave about, but I have discovered I prefer pressed powder to other types of face powder and this is one of the brands I use.

      WHO FOR:

I guess this product will suit anyone who wants a subtle professional finish to their make-up, The brilliant huge choice of colours means that it will suit a large range of people, whatever their skin colour.

      PROBLEMS:

Well, the plastic clip soon broke on one of the rear hinges during opening, meaning that the powder could not be carried around in my bag. This was quite annoying, but I don't know if it had been damaged anywhere to create a weakness.

      CONCLUSION & STARS:

All in all a long lasting subtle powder that does its job of fixing make-up brilliantly when applied with a make-up brush. 4/5 stars.

      PRICE AND AVAILABILITY:

Currently £8.19 at Superdrug and included on a 3 for 2 offer (Nov 13). Also, available from other L'oreal stockists in-store and on-line, so widely available. As well as on-line from Amazon and eBay.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      i would recommend

I was sent this product to review in its trial stages by L'oreal, and i must say i absolutely love it.

The casing is very sweet and gives the impression it is expensive with its mirrored edging. Once you open the compac there are two sections, the first obviously being the powder and the second being if you lift the powder up underneath there is a mirror and a round sponge to apply it with. I did find that applying it with the sponge did not blend it properly so i use one of brushes to give it a more natural coverage.

I felt that if you had the confidence and prefer to go out with minimal make up this is perfect to use as a foundation, it is light does not get sticky or melt and gives a nice natural glow to your skin. But if you are like me and prefer to have a layer of foundation on to hide any blemishes and give that finished feel, i would use this as a bronzer, giving your face more colour.

As you may already know i suffer from oily skin so find this perfect to sweep across the t-zone taking away the shine from my forehead and the top of my nose. I also like to use this underneath my check bone as it is a lot more subtle than a bronzer, so it naturally highlights your check bones, without looking like you have tried. This generally tend to last the majority of the day, it does begin to fade after quite a few hours but it still does its job even if not so visible

Overall i would definitely recommend trying this powder, whether it be for a subtle foundation or bronzer, it is worth every penny. One of my make up essentials. .

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A nice powder which is light and buildable and makes the complexion look better

I frequently use the True Match foundation by L'oreal. As I have oily skin which is prone to being shiny, I also have to use a powder. So I thought it would make sense to buy the True Match Powder by L'oreal too.

      What does the product do?
The product promises that it will perfectly match the colour of your skin. It claims that it will give you translucent coverage which can be built up to cover imperfections. It is described as being ultra light and will give you a natural finish which doesn't look like your wearing make up. Sounded good to me.

      Available Shades
The product doesn't come in very many shades and the names are self explanatory such as Rose Ivory and Rose Beige. I went for Rose Ivory as my skin is pretty pale.

      Packaging
The product comes in a silver plastic compact with a clear window on the front so you can see the colour of the powder inside. It some white writing on the front and the compact clicks open to reveal the powder and also the sponge inside. Inside the compact you will also find a mirror for applying the product on the go. The packaging isn't much good and the bottom half snapped off mine the very first time that I used it so it isn't sturdy. It didn't affect the actual powder but it's still not very good for something which cost me £8.

      Price
The product will set you back around £8 for the compact and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a range of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The product does have quite a silky consistency but you will still need to have moisturised before using the product as it will highlight any dry or flaky skin and look unattractive. I usually apply it using the sponge which does give a thicker coat of the powder which does make you look more made up and not as natural. You can apply it using a make up brush to get a lighter more natural appearance. It does a good job of absorbing some of the excess oils from my skin and stops me getting so shiny during the day.

I can't say it really hides my imperfections but I use my foundation and concealer for this purpose. As a finishing touch, this product does give your complexion a nice smooth finish which is matte without leaving your skin looking dull and dreary. It hasn't caused me to develop any blemishes and it hasn't irritated my skin. The product is quite long lasting and although my shininess starts to break through after a few hours, it is easily reapplied on the go. The product is completely removed using my usual cleanser.

      Conclusion
All in all, this is a lovely natural looking powder which can be build up as you want. It looks my skin look smooth and healthy, and reduces the shininess of my complexion. The packaging isn't sturdy enough and broke quickly but other than that, I have been happy with this powder and I will continue to use it until it has all gone.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Love this product, will just keep searching for the perfect coverage powder.

When I paid a trip to my local Boots store I was looking for a new face powder. I hadn't seen many advertised around that time, so I was wandering around quite blindly. I have bought Loreal products before and have been impressed with them, so I headed straight for that stand. Immediately the True Match powder caught my eye. With it's bright silver packaging and see through plastic so you can see the product inside it was intriguing. I tried out a few of the testers on my jawline and the colour that matched me best was 'Rose Beige'. So I bought that one, it was priced around the £8.00 mark.

Performance - As I said before, the packaging is very eye catching, and also extremely practical. The lid has a strong clip on it which means I am safe in the knowledge that it is not going to tip powder into the bottom of my handbag. The best thing about it though, is the base that the powder sits in is connected to a hinge. This allows the whole base to flip up and stand vertically, revealing the mirror on the underside of the base. This is so handy, allowing me to touch up my make-up on the go. It also came with a little, soft white sponge so I don't have to carry brushes around with me. I'm really impressed with the amount of thought that seems to have gone into this product to make it user friendly.
The product itself is a very fine powder, very soft to the touch. When I have finished applying it, the finish reminds me of a very light coverage foundation, which I do like. However, I think it would be better if there was more coverage. I think maybe I was expecting too much from just a powder.
The colour really does match well and matches the texture of my skin perfectly. I often use this just to set my foundation and it seems to work the best for me lightly dusted over a light tinted moisturiser base.

Although I can't use this product on it's own as I originally intended because it doesn't have full enough coverage, I'm so pleased with it. The results I get when dusted over a light base are flawless. The packaging is so handy and practical that the pot just lives in my handbag. I will definitely be re-buying and would recommend it to anybody. I would just recommend being careful when choosing the colour to get the perfect 'True Match'.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        very good powder

I always wear a face powder - whether being fully made up for a night out or having a 'bare faced' day as, for me, it really helps my complexion and certainly takes any unwanted shine off my face. I therefore don't mind spending a bit more money on this than I would for other items in my make up collection, and am always keen to try new products in case they perform better than those I already own.

I decided that I would try L'Oreal's True Match Super Blendable Powder quite recently as I have always had good experiences with L'Oreal products. I purchased a powder for £8.19 from Boots, which is slightly more than I would usually pay (normally around the £5-£6 mark). It is worth noting that, at the time of writing, L'Oreal cosmetics are buy one get one half price in Boots, so money can be saved! I purchased the powder in the 'Golden Ivory' shade but it is also available in Beige, Rose Beige, Golden Beige, Honey, Golden sand, Rose Vanilla and Rose. Therefore, you can match the powder quite closely to your own complexion.

The first thing that I noticed about the powder was the superior packaging compared to any that I had purchased previously. The powder comes in a round plastic tub like most other pressed powders, but the powder is contained in a middle section in the tub that is hinged and moves up and down. When this is lifted up, it reveals a bottom compartment that contains an applicator sponge. The bottom of the hinged section also contains a mirror for use during application. I find the packaging really easy to use and, by compartmentalising in this way, it stops the mirror becoming smeared with powder granules. This means that the mirror remains clean and clear.

The powder itself has a 'puzzle' pattern engraved on it's surface when new. This obviously rubs off pretty quickly once you start using it, but it adds to the 'expensive' appearance of the powder. The powder is soft to the touch and feels quite light on your skin. The sponge provided is a good thickness and durable so should last the life of the powder. Application is relatively simple and the powder transfers on to the skin well. It can be easily blended to match your skin tone to give a natural finish. It can also be layered to provide an equally flawless finish when you are wearing more 'heavy' make up.

In my experience, the powder provides a natural, long-lasting finish. I wear this most days and it lasts all day. It is great for keeping oily patches of skin under control, absorbing excess oil well and leaving a matt finish without 'caking' like some powders can. My skin also feels soft and smooth with this applied and patchy skin and blemishes remain well covered.

Overall, I really recommend this powder. It has lasted me a couple of months so far and I still have a fair bit left - I would say at least another couple of weeks worth. This, to me, represents pretty good value despite the initial hefty price tag. The finish provided is natural and flawless and is definitely worth the money.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Does it's job well!

I paid about £7 for this in boots a few weeks ago. Prices vary from about £5 upwards.

The powder comes in a round container with a see through top so you can see the powder. It comes with an application pad which is underneath the powder. The Mirror is also underneath the powder
compartment which isn't very helpful because you can't put extra powder on while using the mirror.

I just use this powder over moisturiser and compared to many that I have tried in the past, I have been very pleased with it. It is described as super blendable and it does live up to this claim. It is very natural looking and you can barely tell you're wearing make up (except for the fact that minor blemishes and shininess are covered). It is, however, only a powder, not a foundation so you shouldn't expect miracles - it won't cover spots and more serious blemishes.

I have the lightest colour (Rose Ivory) as I have quite fair skin so I can't comment on the other colours but this one is very natural looking on me.

The powder seems to stay on the face for a long time - no shininess by the end of the day.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Loreal True Match Powder

I prefer using powder to foundation and only use a combination of both when I'm going out. I find that foundation feels to heavy on my face during the day so it was important that I found a light powder that will provide good coverage whilst not giving the dreaded 'cakey' look. A friend recommended this powder and I couldn't have been happier with it. I was prepared to pay a little extra for a decent powder but was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price of this product. After all, it needs to be good if you're wearing it every day!

I use the Rose Ivory shade and find that this is a perfect match for my super pale skin that never matches anything usually. The product says that it is 'super blendable' which I have found to be a truthful claim as it does not highlight blemishes by looking too light or too dark on top. For severe blemishes I often need to put multiple layers on top of each other to fully cover it. With this product, the layers do not merge together to create an orange gunky mess (as often happens!). It also feels really light on your skin and is perfect for everyday wear or as a silky smooth finish on top of foundation. The packaging is clever in that there is a handy compartment underneath the powder that stores the applicator and a mirror which folds out easily. The only issue with this is that once you've used the sponge applicator once, the mirror becomes dirty as the sponge sits on top of it. The sponge itself is perfectly fine but I tend to use a brush as I think it goes onto the skin better and is easier to blend. Another issue I had is that the powder cracked up really easily, it wasn't dropped it just broke apart in my makeup bag. I don't know if this is even fixable or if all makeup does this at time so it isn't a real criticism just an extra anecdote.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to someone who is looking for a powder versatile enough to be an everyday powder or to sit atop of foundation.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A foundation that triples as a mirror, finishing powder and foundation!

I always make sure I apply a finishing powder on top of my regular foundation, and was looking for a new one after my old one ran out. I came across the true match powder foundation in Boots after seeing it on an advert claiming to match perfectly with your skin, and once bought I found out it truly lived up to these claims and doubled not only as a finishing powder, but as a good powder foundation on its own!

          *Packaging*
The foundation comes in a circular compact with a silver ring around the rim that looks a little like a compact mirror. You soon find out why, because when you flip up past the foundation, you discover a mirror and application sponge have come along for the ride! I really benefitted from the sponge and mirror, as you don't need to take anything else out of your handbag when needing a touch up, because it's all in one and you don't have to be near a mirror. So the 'all in one' front has a big benefit, and is perfect for busy mums or students on the go. The sponge really helps to get a smooth even finish, however its one downside is that it isn't very flexible and doesn't properly reach difficult places like around the nose. The case can be snapped open from the bottom and top, although the snapper isn't very secure and I've found the foundation open and all over my bag several times.

          *Product*
As for the actual foundation, I usually use it as a finishing powder on top of normal foundation and on its own on weekends. It blends perfectly over foundation, even matching to the colour of the foundation, so much so, that you can't even tell you've put anything on. The powder feels incredibly silky against skin and is a pleasure to apply. However, if you apply too much it can look a bit cakey because of the loose powder granules. Applied to bare skin, it gives relatively good coverage and an even finish, feeling very lightweight on the skin and giving a barely there look. As a finishing powder, it works extremely well at not letting your face get oily or greasy and can quickly fix it with another layer if you have oily skin like me.

          *Price*
For £8.19 at boots, this all in one compact and foundation is well worth the price, and one i would be happy to recommend to a friend. This foundation lasts me about 5 months a go when used daily, so it is good value for money!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

This is everything you could ask for in a powder foundation!

I started using this powder a little over a year ago when I saw it in ELLE magazine's top 100 beauty buys, and I completely agree with them!
Its great for any time; its great for giving a smooth, matt finish after applying liquid foundation, or for a natural look on its own on a summer day.
I buy the colour 'Rose Ivory' and it looks a really natural colour and blends in really well. Its great for touching up on your make up though out the day, as its a great size to fit in your hand bag, and comes with a mirror and an application sponge, so you can touch up whenever and wherever!
I use this product almost every day, and the container lasts me around half a year, so for this good a quality product which lasts this long, it is an extremely reasonable price!
            I definitely recommend it!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Great Compact With Maximum Coverage And Even Colour!!

I swear by the L'Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation and wear it everyday (usually with a cheaper branded powder ontop)!! But when i was purchasing my foundation in a 3 for 2 offer in boots a few months ago and i saw they did a powder in the same range i had to give it a go, and i'm glad i did!!

            ~Useful Info~

            Price: £7.99
            Stockists: Boots, Superdrug etc.
Colours: Rose Vanilla, Honey, Golden Sand, Rose Beige, Rose Sand, Golden Ivory, Rose Ivory, Golden Beige.

            ~The Packging~

The pressed powder comes in a round compact which is see through in the middle and reflective silver around the edge. The pressed powder itself had a jigsaw piece engraved in the top, which although it goes after a couple of uses it's a really cute little feature!! The best part about this powder though is that in the other side of the compact is a small round applicator sponge and a mirror!! I personally have never found another powder that does this and think its really great as i always forget my mirror whern i put powder in my purse and i usually apply powder with a brush as i dont have any sponges, but i've got to admit this sponge works better!!

            ~The Powder~

The powder claims to 'match the colour and texture of your skin to create a flawless finish' . And its not wrong! The powder itself is very soft and doesn't go on too thickly or powdery. Instead it blends in really well creating a really even colour. It also helps disguise spots and blemishes really well and trust me i would know all about that!!

The only thing i would say is that the colours can come up a little dark so be sure to try them before you buy. I tend to buy a lighter shade than i wear in the liquid foundation (which is available in the same colours). Another thing i have found is that both Superdrug and Boots tend to be out of the main colours alot of the time so i do try to buy a new one (When i can afford it) before the previous 1 has ran out!!

I would definitly reccomend this powder for an even colour and ultimate coverage, especially if you have problem skin like me!

            x Thanks For Reading x

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

An excellent not-too-expensive powder which can be used for all occassions.

I use L'Oréal True Match compressed face powder every time I choose to wear make-up. I find it to be an excellent choice - it is light enough to wear on its own without foundation, and yet is powerful enough to be used to modify the shade of liquid face cover (Is your foundation too light for your summer-tanned face? Use a slightly darker powder in a few (very!) light coats to even out your tone.). Billed as "super-blendable," I bought this powder because the one I used previously was too heavy. This is a vast improvement, and can be used very lightly to just provide subtle tone correction/evening or more heavily for a 'done' look.

I suffer from greasy skin and find that True Match is capable of mopping up shine from my T-zone beautifully. It is long-lasting and kind on my skin. I don't feel any dryness when I've used it, and it's very easy to clean off despite its staying-power!

I have found the case to be a little too delicate for my needs. I bought the powder upon the recommendation of a friend, and since I have, both of our powder compacts have broken very easily with a slight drop to the floor. It is still very much usable and the powder itself has remained intact, but the lid hinge snapped and means that I must leave it wrapped with an elastic band just in case it opens in my make-up bag and ends up spread amongst all of my other products!

If you're careful with yours and don't have a case of dropsy like I do, you'll love it!

            Long lasting flawless beautiful skin!

            L'OREAL TRUE MATCH POWDER

Before reading this you might want to read my review on the foundation to go with it! I am a big make up girl, I rarely leave the house without foundation, eyeliner and mascara as I'm not naturally beautiful, I would love to be one of these girls who can roll out of bed and there skin looks absolutely flawless! My skin is slightly dry around the t-zone and oily on cheeks without any products. The foundation that I used to wear was Max Factors Seamless, I then went through a period of applying fake tan in the summer because I sadly didn't go on holiday so looked very pale, hence I changed foundation. I have been wearing this brand for over a year now! 'Loreal True Match'. I also bought the powder to go with it which I will now review.

            About the product
            -----------------------
Made by Loreal PARIS. It is called 'true match' Super - Blendable perfecting powder. It's an ultra fine powder which perfectly adjusts to the colour and texture of your skin. The compact is a 9g size. The foundation has a SPF 15. It is dermatology tested and made in Italy.

            Compact / Packaging
            --------------------------
The compact is a hard plastic. The compact is round and the diameter measures approx 7cm. The compact comes with a clear sealant tape so ensure this has not been broken before purchasing.

The compact has a clear see through lid with a stylish silver outlining. The see through lid is useful to see how much powder you have left. The compact is easy to open up. You see the powder which then lifts up to reveal a mirror on the underside of the powder. It comes complete with a sponge applicator on the bottom case. I feel loreal have made a huge design fault in making you flip up the powder to look into the mirror. It would be much more useable if the mirror was underneath the lid.

            Application
            --------------
I use the shade C1 which has pinksih tones and is called 'Rose Ivory'. It takes me approx 5 minutes to apply the foundation and 2 minutes to apply the powder for that lasting finish.

First I use a make up wipe to get of any make up and refresh my skin. I then apply a thin layer of Vera Wang Princess Moisturiser! They say you should always wear moisturiser under your foundation to protect your skin from the winter winds which can cause damage and ageing, I have only recently been doing this and I have to say it makes the foundation last longer.

I pump out a blobs of the foundation and apply to forehead, both cheeks and chin so x4 blobs in total. You could either use a brush, pad or fingers to apply, I use fingers just because I find it easier. I rub in circular movements into my skin all over to the jawline. I don't use on my neck as it really isn't needed although I do continue the powder down slightly. I rub the foundation in gently, it glides so smootly over your skin and instantly covers all inperfections, any redish marks etc. It blends really well into my skin, without looking cakey and thick.

Once my foundation is set I apply the powder. I find the powder makes a longer lasting finish. I only apply it in the morning, I never have to reapply during the day. The powder comes with a sponge which is of good quality but be warned it can add too much powder to your face. I prefer to use a big make up brush. I swirl it into the powder and dust my face. This provides a thinner layer and settles in just the right places.

            Finish
            -------
The finish of this makeup powder is absolutely flawless. I can start with no make up and my skin looks blotchy with marks, lumps and redness. Once I have applied a this make up my skin looks amazing, your skin looks smooth, all one tone and flawless. It actually feels really soft too! This foundation will give you complete coverage so is great for people with not so good skin. If you are after a suttle touch up this wouldn't be for you.

It is called true match because it matches to the tones of your skin, you will obviously need to use the testers and select the shade that matches your skin correctly, people who give this is bad review are probably expecting a shade 6 times darker than their skin tone match to match, it wont!

            Price and Availability
            -------------------------
I bought this powder from Tescos for £6.99 as it is cheaper there. Boots sell it for £8.99 although I have seen they regularly have 3 for 2 offers! I think £8 is about an average price for this high street branded powder. Knowing how good it is if they put the price up to double I would still pay it! I think it is excellent value for money!

            Overall
            ---------
A fanastic powder (superb with the matching foundation) that leaves your skin looking healthy and flawless. Very long lasting and reasonably priced. Must have for summer 2010! Why.....BECAUSE YOUR WORTH IT!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Excellent product.

I always use a powder after applying foundation. I use a MAC foundation and usually use a MAC powder, but I decided to give this a go.

Firstly, I really like the packaging. It has a good sized mirror on the underside of the powder and this is also where the sponge applicator is stored. This is very handy as sometimes on nights out I drop the applicator on the floor so the second compartment is a god send. The clasp that holds the product shut is really strong which helps to stop the product coming open in your bag.

I like the range of colours. I have very pale skin and use the the Rose vanilla colour. I don't get any problems with this as it is really light, impossible to look orange.

What really attracted me to this product was the fact that it also covers blemishes. This is very handy for a night out as you can rely on this to cover any small imperfections which may appear through your foundation or concealer once it starts to wear off.

I usually don't have to reapply this as it lasts after the first application. It helps to control shiny areas.

I started using this 2 years ago and I am on my third one now and I use it very often so it does really last.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

Good face powder with natural finish.

L'Oreal True Match Super-blendable powder does exactly what it claims. There is no need to apply foundation before using this powder as it gives great coverage, hiding all blemishes and matching to your skin tone. If applied correctly it leaves no streaks or 'tidemarks' and blends perfectly leaving a matt even finish. Not only do you get a great face powder with this compact but also an applicator sponge and mirror so you can touch up on the go if required. However it can be easy to apply too much powder when using the sponge so I would recommend using a brush instead. If you have quite oily or combination skin (like me) then I have found that after a few hours you do need to reapply but I find that is required with most face powders.

The only downside to the compact is the design; the mirror is underneath the powder which makes it a bit awkward to use.

It comes in five true match shades; Golden Beige, Rose Ivory, Rose Beige, Rose Sand and Golden Ivory. It normally costs around £7.99 but I believe boots have it on offer at £5.99 as at the time this review was written.

This is a great face powder and I would highly recommend it.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Great compact powder

              *Introduction*

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder is a product I cannot claim discovery for as much as I would like to. My mum bought this long before I did and let me borrow it whilst we were on holiday last year as I had forgotten my powder (yes, my holiday list had failed me). I was extremely pleased with the results when I used this and she hasn't had the compact back since.

              *The Claim*

L'Oreal True Match Powder claims to be able to match the colour and texture of your skin perfectly for a flawless finish.

              *About the Product*

This fine, soft and light powder blends perfectly with your complexion, almost as if you were not wearing any make-up. L'Oreal True Match Powder is a compact powder which allows you to achieve a flawless-looking complexion without caking. The micro-fine formula means you can apply a single translucent layer to even your complexion or you can build up more coverage to hide imperfections.

              *Application*

The application of this powder is extremely easy, even whilst out and about and on the go. L'Oreal gives you everything you need in order to apply whether you are sat at home in the morning applying your make-up in front of the mirror or on the go at work with nothing around but the compact itself.

Simply open the bottom of the compact and take out the sponge. Then rub this against the powder to get a sufficient amount onto the sponge. When you have done this, simply apply the powder onto your face. Ensure that you apply even amounts so that your face does not appear patchy.

              *Price and Availability*

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder is available to buy from stores like Boots and Superdrug. It is also available in most chemists as L'Oreal is a brand that is frequently on sale hidden away in the corner.

You can buy this powder compact for £7.82. I find this to be a very reasonable price considering this is a compact that has a pad to apply the powder as well as a mirror. It is also roughly the same price as equivalent products on the market.

              *My Opinion*

The packaging: This is definitely a unique selling point. This powder is packaged in a small, grey plastic compact which opens from the bottom and the top. The top lid which conceals the powder is transparent and allows you to see clearly the shade and how much of the product is remaining. Below the powder is an additional compartment which is my reasoning for liking the packaging so much as it holds the sponge that you use for application as well as a mirror. This makes the product perfect for travelling with and it is big enough to see what you are doing.

The powder is compressed and what I like about its appearance is the imprinted shape of a puzzle piece in the middle. It makes the powder look pretty cool. As for the sponge, it is actually really good. It is one of those sponges that falls apart when used once or twice. It is thick yet still easy to use and it applies the powder easily to your skin. On the whole, the compact doesn't look overly expensive, but the packaging does resemble the L'Oreal brand.

Texture and colour: The texture of this powder is relatively light which made me worry that it wouldn't fulfil my expectations of good coverage but I was pleasantly surprised with the results as it glides onto my skin nicely after I have applied a thin layer of foundation. It doesn't quite make my skin look flawless but this is because I am still suffering from teenage spots (even though are am 21 now). The colour that I use is one of the lightest shades and it doesn't give a cakey look but covers your skin nicely.

Staying power: This is very important for me with regards to powder. I don't want miracles but I would at least like powder to look freshly applied for 4 or 5 hours and this was the case with L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder. I found that my skin looked 'almost' flawless for this amount of time after application.

Range of colours: When the product was first released, there were 24 shades to choose from. The number of shades now available have been reduced to I believe 10 different colours from a golden ivory to rose beige. They have clearly selected the top sellers. I have the rose vanilla colour and this is the perfect colour for my skin so I hope that you can find one for yours that is a 'True Match'.

Does L'Oreal True Match Powder match the colour and texture of your skin perfectly for a flawless finish? When I apply L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder, I never go out with a line around my jaw line, a mistake I have done when using other powders in the past therefore I agree with this claim. There is no real tell tale sign that you have applied this powder, although my skin doesn't look a lot smoother so anyone that knows me will know that I have something on my face.

Does this fine, soft and light powder blends perfectly with your complexion, almost as if you were not wearing any make-up? Yes it does although there is a slight problem that if you apply too much of this powder, you will find that you get a caked-on effect. But if you are careful when applying the powder you won't find this to be a problem. Once you have made the mistake once, you won't repeat it.

L'Oreal claims that this powder will hide imperfections. I didn't find this to be strictly true. If I have used concealer before applying this powder then my imperfections are somewhat hidden but not solely by the use of this product therefore I would dispute this claim, especially with regards to larger spots and scars.

Longevity of the product: When I bought the first compressed powder compact I didn't think that it would last particularly long. I was extremely wrong. I have found this powder will last up to 4 or 5 months when used on a daily basis.

              *Would I Recommend The Product?*

I would unquestionably recommend this product as it gives you fantastic coverage for a more than reasonable price. As well as this, it is fairly long lasting therefore great value for money which is something we all look for when buying a product. I actually cannot find much to tell you about that is negative regarding the product, so my suggestion is to go and check it out for yourself.

I would especially recommend it to anyone that is looking for a powder that is good to carry around with you in your handbag as it is compact and has everything you need for application on the spot.

              *Overall*

All in all, I find this to be a great compact that gives you extensive coverage. I cannot praise this powder enough. You need not worry about blemishes anymore as most of them are covered when you apply this powder. Happy days! This is permanently in my handbag as it the perfect size and packaging to carry around with you. Rush out and buy it now!
