Lancome Juicy Tube
Advantages: Gorgeous, easy to apply, lasts a long time
Disadvantages: screw top lid
I have been a fan of Lancome Juicy tubes for over five years now, so I thought I would share with you why I like them so much.
My first encounter with a Juicy tube was on the way back from a short break in Dublin, I had a few pennies left and thought I would treat myself on the airplane, they had a pack of three Juicy tubes for about £18 so I grabbed a bargain and haven't looked back.
I think Lancome were one of the first brands to bring out a gloss in a tube, thinking back I remember being quite impressed by the innovative 'tube' applicator, it must have been good because now most glosses come packaged like this.
When you squeeze the tube only a small amount of gloss comes out as it is lovely and thick, the top has a slanted applicator to make it easy to glide across your lips .
The tube is made of a soft plastic, it comes with a screw top lid which is the only negative I can think of, it can be quite easy to mislay or drop the lid and it is quite an essential part of the gloss, without it you couldn't carry it around with you or the gloss would all squeeze out. Each standard size Juicy Tube contains 15 ml of gorgeous gloss.
There are so many colours and finishes to choose from now, from ultra shiny to their newest line Juicy pure which is a gloss enriched with 100% organic essential oil, I haven't tried this one yet but maybe when my next dooyoo cheque arrives.
My favourite colour is Cherry Rock it tastes absolutly delicious, from the colour of it, it looks like it will be post box red but it comes out as quite transparent with just a hint of a tint, in fact most of the Juicy tubes are coloured but they never give you a proper colour on your lips it is more of a shimmer, which is one of the reasons I like them, you can apply it without a mirror and know that even if you go a bit off track you won't have coloured lines over your face.
Juicy Tubes can be found at Lancome counters in stores such as John lewis, House of Fraser, Debenhams and Some bigger Boots. You can also buy online at www.lancome.co.uk. The current retail price is £14 a tube, you can get 'retired' flavours a bit cheaper from amazon or cut price beauty websites.
Summary: They last for so long and really give your lips a lovely shine.
