A superb nail polish from Leighton Denny.

~*~*~ Leighton Denny One For All Multi-Function Treatment ~*~*~

      ~ Why did I buy this? ~

I recently took out a magazine subscription at a low price and this also included a gift set. I was supposed to get an O.P.I. gift set but unfortunately this was out of stock so got sent a Leighton Denny gift set instead. The set compromised of a small cosmetics bag, Miracle Mist, I Love Juicy nail polish and this One For All nail polish too.

In a way I am glad that the other set was out of stock as I have used this One For All product loads since getting it about 6/7 weeks ago.

      ~ What is it? ~

This is a brilliant product, and one that I used all the time now. When I run out I will definitely be buying more.

This is a multi-function product that takes on the role of four separate products. It is a base coat, a top coat, ridge filler and clear gloss coat in one. It is also fortified with Vitamins A and E, Panthenol, Biotin and Bio-Active Glass.

It is a clear polish, that helps keep my nails healthy and shiny.

      ~ Packaging ~

The packaging as far as I am aware is the same for all of the Leighton Denny nail polishes. It is a square glass bottle, with a round lid. The inner part of the lid is silver and the outer clear. It is quite a heavy and chunky glass bottle that doesn't feel cheap or flimsy in any way.

I quite like the minimalist look of the packaging and I think it looks quite classy. On the front of the bottle is the brand name - LEIGHTON DENNY in chrome font and the back of the bottle holds the product info in white on the back, the back info is on a sticker and not printed on the glass.

The back tells me all I need to know, including that it is flammable and that this is a 12ml bottle.

As this particular one contains a clear liquid, I can also see the brush inside.

The lid as usual, holds the brush and it is this that you use to apply the varnish to your nails.

~ How effective is it? ~

I will be completely honest and say that I rarely use a base coat on my nails unless I am wearing a particularly strong colour but this stuff is brilliant. My finger nails are in really good condition but my big toe nail on both feet have a nasty ridge running right along them. I used this as a ridge filler before applying pastel colours to my nails and it worked brilliantly. The ridge was not visable at all and this was after two light coats.

I then of course use it as a top coat on my nails.

In the past I haven't bothered applying a top coat to my toe nails as they seem to take an age to dry as it is but because I liked the pastel colours so much I did apply this on top, just one quick coat. My nails were alternating from a mauve shade to pale orange and an aqua shade. I painted the top coat over and it gave them an incredible shine and also kept them free from chips for two weeks, before my nails would last a few days before chipping but I actually had to remove this myself as there wasn't a chip insight!

On my fingernails I change them all the time, I'm really bad and colours usually last a couple of days before I get bored but I have recently been using the Leighton Denny I Love Juicy (review to follow) which is a lovely coral shade along with a top coat of this One For All and it has been lasting me five to six days without a single chip. I am quite hands on day to day, washing up, cleaning, playing, changing nappies, laundry, ironing, typing etc. so I think this worked incredibly well.

It also gives my nails a beautiful shine.

      ~ Where can I buy it? ~

Looking online I can see that this is available in Marks & Spencers, www.leightondenny.com to name two. It is priced at £11 for a 12ml bottle.

      ~ Overall ~

I don't think the price is too high. Nail polishes are everywhere these days and some cheaper ones are, let's face it, crap! I have a large collection on nail polishes, some cheap some not so cheap, I have some that chip before I can even get a top coat on!

So, it is worth paying for a decent nail polish. Or a top coat at least. This being a multi-function product, I think it is a bargain price as it does all those jobs in one.

£11 for this is an absolute bargain in my eyes and I will buy it again, however a little goes a long way and even after a good 20+ uses already there is hardy any product gone. The brush is neat and allows me to paint each nail quickly and with ease, it's small enough not to smudge everywhere but not so small you have trouble painting each nail.

I would recommend this to anyone. It is a brilliant product that not only stops nails from chipping, it has the vitamins and whatever else you need to keep your nails in tip top condition.

      I love it!

      Thanks for reading :o) x
