Lily Lolo flawless silk finishing powder is a mineral face powder.
The ingredients as listed on the website are "Mica, Iron Oxides" and is described as "A delicate light diffusing silk finishing powder which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and imperfections, a pale peachy pink colour."
Instructions: Dust lightly over foundation with a large soft powder brush for a flawless dewy finish.
The pot I got came in a clear pot with a white lid which says "Lily Lolo" on it. Underneath it says info about it, the colour of the powder, website etc.
Inside is a sifter lid so the powder can be tapped out instead of falling out, this is removable if wanted though.
The powder is a light peachy colour as shown - it's a very soft feeling powder and is very light feeling.
I apply with a large powder brush as suggested - it goes on very well and is great to give a finished look to your makeup. I dust this over all of my makeup to keep in in place - it doesn't show on mascara and such so applying it over everything doesn't ruin the effect, or move the makeup around. It also doesn't effect the colour of blush, or eyeshadows - it simply gives a finished look and helps keep your makeup in place.
I also on occasion have worn this not under other makeup just to make my face look fresher, it works well for this.
This seems to last all day generally - not always easy to be sure with it being over other makeup, but appears to still be there after several hours. I've not needed to reapply it.
The finish is very very smooth and beautiful. I love this stuff - great for everyday use and good enough for special occasions too.
Price: To buy online from Lily Lolo website this costs £12.49 - you do have to pay postage on top but I found this reasonable.
Overall, I love this stuff, it just works well and is lovely! Great product, and you don't need much either, so it lasts well.
The infamous internet based company Lily Lolo known for simple minerals cosmetics in the composition have a product on they site called Flawless Silk finishing powder which I will be reviewing its use from my own experience.
This power is used after the foundation. I use their powder brushes to apply it as fallowing:
I prefer to use a separate bowl in which I put a little bit of powder. If you desire you can use the top of the jar in which the product comes in.
Swirl the powder into the brush until all the powder is in the bristles, then you can either apply with circular motions on your face or with long stokes over the needed areas. Both methods work very well I found.
I get a powdery look over my face after applying it however this disappears within 15 minutes and then I truly see the benefits and why the actually flawless. My face looks absolutely radiant.
Tip: I use this powder to apply it over lipstick with a small sponge. This way it stops my lipstick from feathering and lasts me all night. It does not alter the shade of my lipstick. For this particular use I find this product indispensable from my makeup kit, I can't praise it enough.
The power gives a luminous appearance to the skin. Is light reflective and in this way it tricks the eye in seeing the wrinkles and imperfections.
If you have enlarged pores this powder might make them stand out. I personally prefer to avoid these problem areas when I apply the power. This is the only downfall I find with it, otherwise don't let it put you off as it make a fantastic job in giving the face a healthy dewy glow without being overpowering.
Ingredients: Mica and Iron Oxides so you don't have to worry about extra chemicals and pointless fillers and could damage your skin.
The powder comes in a in a 40ml sifter jar with 4.5g of product for £12.00. It might not sound much but is very long lasting and it fills the jar. If you are not sure this product is for you can try a sample size of 0.75g in a 5ml cute jar for 0.99p, I find the small sample enough for 7 application but I guess it all depends on haw much product each prefers to use.
Lilly lolos flawless silk powder can be brought from there web site, they specialise in natural mineral based make up products that are better for your skin than other brands but do cost a little more, a 1g tub of this costs just 99p but if you want a sifting tub to put it in you will have to pay £12 which does come with 4.5g of powder.
This powder is a creamy off white colour and can be used in a few ways, i use it when i am not wearing makeup mixed in with my moisturiser as it reduces the look of the fine lines in my fore head and around my eyes aswell as stopping the imperfections in my skin being noticable, if i am wearing make up i put a thin dusting of this onto my skin before applying my foundation as this means the fine lines and imperfections are not as hard to cover so i need less foundation and get better results.
As well as reducing the imperfections and lines in my skin this powder also reduces the oilyness of my skin wholst wearing makeup and keeps my makeup looking like new all day rather than looking greasy by the end of the day.
It is a little on the expensive side and doesnt last very long but the effects it gives are great, i brought a 4.5g powder with sifting tub to start and now buy the 1g tubs to put into it as this gives better value for money.
I do think this is designed for people with oily skin or combination skin in mind and wouldnt advise it for people with dry skin as this is likely to dry out your skin even more.
