Lipcote

Description: Lip gloss

... is that the dryer the lipstick the longer Lipcote will help it to last, it doesn't work very well on very creamy lipsticks and them mousse ones that are available now aren't suitable for you to paint Lipcote over because it doesn't stick good enough to the lipstick. I can see a difference when drinking out of cups and glasses after I've used Lipcote because there's loads less lipstick on it afterwards and that's wicked news because it means more of it has stayed where it should be, on my lips! I reckon it works b...more

Premium Review Lipcote: For a perfect pout, try lipcote (311 words)

What is lipcote? Lipcote is a lipstick sealer, designed to keep your lippy on your pout, and not on your drink, your teeth, your fork or your bloke! Packaging The packaging for this product is iconic. It comes in a small box, with an illustration of chic, kissable lips, drawn by fashion illustrator David Downton. Inside, however, it's a bit cheap and tacky. There's a small bottle of slightly yellowish liquid with a bright scarlet lid, onto which is attached a brush for application. However, given that this only costs about £3, it seems churlish to complain too much. Use All you do is apply your lipstick, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I Love Lipcote! (428 words)

In the day I'm not bothered how long my lipsticks stays put but when I'm off on a night out I want it to last as long as possible to save me elbowing my way to the toilets every half an hour to check my lippy is still looking good. I've been using Lipcote for years and it might not be the trendiest thing in my make up bag but it works most of the time and is easy to use so I'll carry on buying it for as long as they make it. Lipcote is a lipstick sealer that you paint on with a small brush that's inside the actual tube of Lipcote like a nail varnish. It's clear and depending on what colour lipstick you're wearing it acts as a bit of a lipgloss even though ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lipcote: Safe snogging. (741 words)

Last week, in school (I study film and media makeup artistry), I realised I had forgotten my Lipcote. I asked everyone in the class, including my tutor, if anyone had any that I could borrow. To my horror (insert horrified Lara face here), no one had any. Even worse than that, no one even knew what it was. Makeup students! My tutor made a mumbled comment about "not knowing they still sold that stuff", but that was the extent of it. As a result, I am going to tell all of you about Lipcote, which is still being sold, and is an essential tool for any lippy wearer. What is Lipcote? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lipcote ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It works, the lippy stays on! (338 words)

I'm not the kind of woman who keeps disappearing into the ladies' room to "powder her nose" and things. Once my makeup is on it should stay on. One way of achieving that would be (if you went for a meal) to pull the chunks of food from the fork with the teeth carefully keeping the lips apart. That looks awful!!! Reminds me of a gorilla...so not really. When I discovered lipcote I was sceptical, usually with every new lipstick they come up with they promise it will stay on all night through eating, drinking, kissing...yeah and pigs can fly. But with Lipcote it actually seemed to work. It's a clear liquid, looks a bit like colourless ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lipcote: Keep that pout looking perfect (408 words)
by - written on 11/08/08 (Very useful, 110 readings)

I have used lipcote for nearly 15 years now,as I can remember I wanted to make sure my lipstick stayed on perfectly for my 18th birthday party. I saw this advertised in a magazine and decided to give it a try. I always use this everytime I go out, and it really does work. OK, so it will not perform miracles but on the whole I can thoroughly recommend it. It comes in a little glass bottle with a brush and is 7ml. It is designed to be brushed on top of lipstick and claims that it will hold your lipstick on all night. This is true, but you need to take several steps to make sure this happens. My guide to keeping lipstick on ...  Read the complete review
