Advantages: Great for saving lipstick

Disadvantages: It stings a bit

Lipcote is a girl's best friend. In fact, I tell everyone I know about Lipcote and its amazing lipstick saving properties.
When I first started using it about 10 years ago, I was amazed at its ability to keep my lipstick where it should be. On my lips.
I was told about it by a friend of mine who used it to full affect when we were at school by kissing most of the boys!!!
You use it by firstly applying your lipstick as you would normally and then painting a layer of Lipcote over the top. It is a seethrough colourless liquid that comes in a small bottle and has its own brush built into the lid.
It does sting when you first put it on but you get used to it. Once it is on, you cannot tell it is there.
It may be due to some of the ingredients that go into this marvelous liquid. I have heard about one case in which a girlfriend of mine cannot use it as she is allergic to one of these elements. Unfortunately these do not apear on the bottle so I cannot tell you what they are.
What I can tell you are the instances in which you should NOT use it.
Do NOT use it if you have the following:
Weeping, sore or cracked lips.
Coldsores.
If you do, it WILL REALLY STING!!!

I put my lipstick on at 7am every morning and I have to remove it at 11pm every night. It is still immaculate and has not moved one inch. Most Lipsticks would wear off during the normal toils of the day but not with a top layer of lipcote.
It even passes the kissing test. I obviously kiss my husband before and after work and more often sometimes if he is lucky!
The bottle itself is only about 7cm tall and about 1.5cm in diameter so it fits in any small bag that you would want to take out. Handy if you may need to touch up when you are out at a club or pub for instance.
You can buy it from Boots or Superdrug for the price of roughlt £3.50. That is a small price to pay if you think about how much it would cost to keep replenishing your lipstick.
It t

Lipcote is absolutely fantastic - I certainly wouldn't live without it. Anyone who doesn't use it should reassess their lipstick application procedure!!

Good opinion. I would want to know what was in a product before buying it though - the manufacturer is at fault in not listing what is in Lipcote.
