Avon Glazewear Lip Lacquer
by January
I bought this lip lacquer from Ebay and it cost me £2.99 which I thought was a reasonable price to pay for a lip lacquer which comes in a little black shiney case and has a mirror in the lid when you open it up.
The case is a good size for any make-up bag and doesn't open easy which is great for carrying around with you as it won't ... open and spill in your handbag as I'm sure many of us has had that happen before.
I like the little mirror as you can just stop what your doing, open up the case and re-apply the lip lacquer, this is handy for me as I wear glasses and so I can see better when im reapplying this onto my lips when it feels like it has faded off.
This is a a little thinner than lipstick, but it isn't runny and doesn't feel sticky on the lips when you apply it.
I like the colour too although when you open the case it looks darker in the case than on the lips, but I like this too as you get the natural look, which enhances the lips without ending up looking too over the top, like with other bright colour lipsticks. I prefer the subtle, natural look so for me this is a good option.
The lip lacquer has so far lasted me four weeks and I use it everyday , it needs replaceing now so I am definately going to buy another one. There is a little brush inside too which you apply the lip lacquer with, this is a brush and not a stick with foam on it and the brush applies evenly and with just enough lip lacquer to get the natural look.
I love this product and as I live rural I don't have an Avon agent in my area but am happy that it is easily available on Ebay although you may have to settle for a different shade if it's not available , but for that price I'm happy to compromise. Read the complete review |

Max Factor Lasting Colour Lipstick
by bringingsexyback
WHAT IS IT?
Lipstick from Max Factor, it is from the Lasting Colour collection from the Lipfinity range.
APPLICATION
Application of this lipstick is very good because it has got a very rounded end to make it appear and feel like a bullet. It is a very creamy lipstick and the colour applies to my lips ... smoothly. The round shape makes it harder for me to apply without using a lip pencil first because I usually use the point of the lipstick to shape my lips. I am using the shade Raisin right now and it is a dusty pink colour, I have to apply 2 coats to get a deep colour but that is easy to do and the coats do not even need to be blotted thoroughly in between.
WHAT I THINK
I like this lipstick very much. The shade is perfect for daytime wear and suits my skin tone because I am quite pale so pinks are best for me. It lasts longer than other lipsticks in a similar shade and longer also than other Max Factor lipstick. It is not a very strong shade but the colour lasts for at least 5 hours and then it fades gradual so I don't have to reapply immediately.
It feels comfortable to wear and is not greasy on my lips, it remains creamy even after I have been wearing it for a few hours. It bleeds a bit but that is why it is important to use a lip pencil, I have seen that it only bleeds towards the end when it has started to fade and if I reapply my lipstick before that point it won't bleed at all.
This lipstick isn't shiny but I always apply some clear or pink lip gloss over the top for more shine, it is not matte but has got a creamy appearance instead of a glamorous shine. I would wear this lipstick to go out at night if I was having bold eye make up because it is a good shade for playing down my lips while I go darker with my eyes.
ANYTHING ELSE
Lasting Colour lipstick is available in several shades including nudes and brighter colours. The full size lipstick costs about £7 but a lot of times Max Factor offer beauty bags free when you buy selected products and a mini lipstick is usually included.

Avon Glazewear Lipstick
by aclevername
I have had this Avon glazewear lipstick for a while now.
~ Appearance ~
It comes in a narrow plain black plastic tube with a silver band around the middle separating the lipstick from the lid.
The lid is easy to remove and it pulls off to reveal a plastic tube, which is slanted at the end and the lipstick itself is ... also slanted and you can twist it up from the plastic tube.
The whole lipstick is about 3 inches long and it is very narrow at about 1cm in diameter.
~ Price and availability ~
This lipstick costs £6.00 from Avon. It is not currently on the website, but it can be found on www.ebay.co.uk or www.amazon.co.uk, brand new for around £2.00. It is available in 12 different shades. I have a pink colour called Kiss Of Pink.
~ Use ~
The lipstick is very easy to apply. It glides over my lips really easily and feels smooth, soft and moisturising.
The colour is bold and it has a bit of shimmer in it. It also has a light shine to it. It looks really nice on my lips and it feels nice as well.
You don't feel constantly aware of the product on your lips, which is something I have found in the past with other lip products.
I have been rather impressed by this product.
Although it has a slight shimmer to it, you can't feel the shimmery bits on your lips, which is something I have found with other lipsticks, which can be irritating.
The lipstick is fairly long lasting. It lasts around 5 hours before it begins to wear off, but it does not last if you are eating or drinking and it will need to be reapplied regularly.
The lipstick does not run or bleed onto your skin. It stays put, but it is easy to remove at the end of the day.
I really like this lipstick. At first I wasn't keen on the tall narrow packaging that it comes in, but I actually think it is quite cute and I like it.
I would definitely buy this lipstick again - in face I am very tempted when it is available so cheaply on ebay. It is smooth and moisturising and it looks really nice on my lips. Read the complete review |
