Advantages: nice tint, tastes n smells lovely
Disadvantages: a little expensive
I bought my Lush Double Choc Lip Balm online a few months ago, it appealed to me as it was advertised to give your lips a subtle nude tint and of course I wanted a nice chocolate tasting lip balm as well.
Appling
Applying this lip balm is quite easy, it comes in a little tin so you simply rub some onto either a small make up brush or your finger and then rub it onto your lips, it melts and smoothes onto your lips quite easily and it simple to apply evenly.
The only criticism I have with this is that it comes in a pot, and I find that screw up lip balms are less messy and more convenient to apply, especially if you use your fingers to apply it.
Taste Test
I love the taste of this lip balm, it is one of my favourites ever, it has a really sweet chocolate smell and taste to it, so it passed the taste test for me.
Results
This lip balm gives your lips a lovely light nude tint to them, I like to wear it when I am wearing bronze type colours for make up as a wee change from pinks and corals, it looks really nice on and it is easy to get nice even coverage.
As far as moisturising goes, this lip balm is also great, it isn't too greasy and leaves my lips temporarily smoother and more healthy looking, however when I stopped using this lip balm for a while, my cracked lips came back really quickly (which isn't really a surprise in the cold rainy Northern Ireland Climate), so the results aren't long lasting.
Price and Availability
Lush Double Choc Lip Balm costs £5.25 for a 10g pot, this sounds really expensive, but a pot lasts quite a long time as the lip balm is so thick and you don't need to use too much in each application. This lip balm is only available on Lush.co.uk or in Lush Stores.
An added extra plus about using this product is that Lush only use naturally sourced ingredients in their products and they are manufactured, packed and stored in an ethically friendly way, so you know there aren't any harmful extra chemicals in this body butter and also that it hasn't been tested on animals and is environmentally friendly.
Overall
Overall I think that this is a really lovely lip tint and I will be re-purchasing it when mine runs out. It is a little expensive but it tastes lovely and gives your lips a lovely nude tint, so for me it's worth it for a nice treat as I would prefer to use a lip balm to a lip stick in winter as I suffer dry lips from time to time. Overall I would give this lip balm 4 out of 5 stars.
