Advantages: get rid of grease

I'm on my second compact of this. It definitely controls oil, no need to touch up during the day (good for my combination skin) and I like how it's translucent.

However, having said that, I found a few negatives to this Blot Powder. Firstly, even though I purchased the medium shade, it was a bit white on my skin (which gave a fake pasty white colour if I wasn't careful on how much I applied) but on most days it looked pretty good.

Secondly, the powder puff it comes with picks up too much powder, and doesn't deliver it all onto the skin. The puff picks up the powder and sort of absorbs it in the material.

A good tip when using the puff, pat it onto the face (do not wipe - otherwise you'll end up looking like a chalky ghost) - then use a powder brush to wipe off any excess powder - for a flawless shine-free look that lasts all day.

I have this in Medium. This is a staple in my collection. As soon as you put it on, the shine is gone. I usually put this on after my liquid foundation. I take it with me to do touch ups, especially at parties. This is a must for oily skin gals. Yet another great product from MAC

A pretty good powder overall, the best so far, but i'm still looking for my Holy Grail of pressed powders.
