This is absolutely the best powder in the world! I know - I've tried 'em all. (I think)

Best, that is for normal through to oily skin. Dry skins will probably need something more emollient

Before it was on sale in this country I used to import the stuff from America, at quite ridiculous cost (especially if customs slapped duty on the package)

What makes this so fantastic? Well it's the most finely milled powder I've ever found. That means there's never any clogging at all, no matter how many times you dab it on during the day.

It comes it a traditional compact which has the advantage of being very sturdy - well, it certainly doesn't seem to suffer from rolling around in my bag/car/office drawers for years on end (I love this so much I have them everywhere!)

There's a nice puff with it too - so often the puffs are cheap and tacky so you end up spending more on something you can actually use. And the mirror in the lid is actually big enough to be useful

Mac Blot comes in 3 shades (light, medium and dark), which add just the merest hint of colour. What's great for me is that the light really is very light, with absolutely no nasty orangey or yellowy tones at all.

This isn't the cheapest powder, but it is very good value. The fine milling means it lasts for ages; it's well made and never cracks and crumbles and it doesn't seem to go 'off' in any way.

It also works with every single foundation in my collection, not only those from Mac
