      Try it!

I personally think that eyebrows can make a huge difference to someones face and if looked after they can achieve a highly polished look even if you're not wearing any other makeup. For this reason I am constantly waxing or tweezing my brows and frequently trying new products. Personally I like to fill in using a powder product (MAC Brow Shader) then set with either a wax or gel. The first and best wax product I tried was MAC's "Brow Finisher" and so that's what I will review now.

The "Brow Finisher" is a 'slimline wax style grooming tool' which is especially formulated to 'shape and hold the brows in place'. It promises to give a sleek, polished and conditioned finish without any stickiness. It claims to be smooth and easy to use and to go on precisely using this slim, slanted tip.
It is packaged in a slim black automatic pencil which you twist the bottom of to release the wax. It has a click on lid and the base of the pencil is coloured to show the shade of the product inside.
Although it used to be available in six shades, it now seems that only four are currently available. 'Blonde', 'Beige Blonde', 'Brunette' and 'Clear'.
They retail for £10.00 and are available online at maccosmetics.co.uk or from any MAC counter / store.

After filling in my eyebrows with powder, I brush upwards with a clean mascara spoolie before gently smoothing over them with the "Brow Finisher". I then use the spoolie once more to make sure my brows are nealty groomed and leave it to 'set'.
I use the Clear finisher as I have dark enough brows naturally and I really like the way it holds them neatly, though I have encountered some problems:

~ If you wind the product up too far before using, the wax stick can break at the base. Although you can still use it without a problem, if for some reason the tube is held upside down then the stick can fall out and collect dirt (Ergh)....

...Which brings me onto the second problem:
~ The sticky, waxy texture is a given but it does seem to cause tiny bits of brow hair and makeup to stick onto it, and who knows what would happen if you forgot to re-cap it! But that's not really a problem since it's easy enough to wipe it off onto a tissue after use.

~ And finally, I find that although it sets hair easily and nicely into shape, it doesn't fully hold them there. If you wipe your eyebrow with a little too much pressure then the shape changes and it re-sticks into the new position, which is a problem I don't encounter when using gels or clear mascara's.

But overall, it's a very effective product. The three coloured shades add a natural tint to the brow, nothing at all obvious or fake looking. This product lasts me probably four or five months with daily use so it's great value and once it's empty you can return it to MAC (along with five other empties) and exchange it for a free lipstick.

Definately recommended if you want to keep your brows in place with a natural, non shiny, non crusty finish :-)

      mac's great range

I have blonde hair and I have very fair eyebrows so I have to use make up to enhance them and what better product to use than Mac brow finisher. Mac has once again brought a great product out to complete their wide range in cosmetics. Mac is a range that has something for everyone.

Mac Brow Finisher is a product that is used to shape and hold the brow into place whilst enhancing them. Unlike a lot of products this is a product that leaves your eyebrows feeling soft and sheer leaving them conditioned and with a great looking finish. You would never know that you have use Brow Finisher as it gives such a great natural look.

The product is easy to use and the applicator that comes with this product is great as it has a slanted tip so that you can slant the applicator and get the correct shape for your eyebrows, as I see that some people draw their eyebrows on and they are really straight and in my opinion this is not a good look you need to get the natural curve in your eyebrow.

This product comes in 5 colours wheat, blonde, beige blonde, brunette and cinnamon these are five colours that look really natural and would work well with everyone's tones. I personally use the Blonde, it is a perfect match.

The brow finisher retails at around £10 but for such a natural looking product I think that this is worth every penny. Mac is a high priced range but I think that it is well worth it and all the products that I have last a lot longer than other brands with similar products that I try.
