Advantages: Great range of shades, Easy to apply, Long lasting.

Disadvantages: None, than I can think of.

Kohls are my favourite of all of MAC's Pencil Eyeliners. They are creamy, longwearing and available in a nice range of shades.

They have both shimmery and matte formulas available, depending on what type of look you are trying to achieve. They work well on both lashlines, lids and waterlines and can be smudged to easily achieve a 'smokey-eyed' effect. They last on both the waterline and lid all day for me, no touching up required, which is always a bonus.

I like to smudge these around the entire eye for a quick, sultry effect. Or pair them with a contoured, matte, neutral eye as a 'pop' of colour on the lower lashline. The brighter shades (Blooz, Hyacinth and Minted) work especially well for this - Really attention grabbing :-)

Blue eyes look great in the bronze/gold shades: Costa Riche, Powersurge and Teddy (My favourite!)
Green eyes work well with these too, as well as: Prunella and Rosemary and Thyme.
Brown/Hazel eyes also look great with: Blooz, Hyacinth and Minted.
The darker shades such as: Smoulder, Tarnish and Phone Number work well with all eye colours and Fascinating is a white shade, which when used on the waterline will open up the eye and make it appear larger/more awake :-)

Summary: Love, love, love these!
