Advantages: Great colours, nice smokey effect

Disadvantages: Pricey, did not stay on for a long time

When it comes to make up I love eye make-up and have to wear eye liner daily even if at home. I am not a fan of liquid eyeliner for daily use and prefer the pencil look on my lower eye line instead and therefore a kohl sort of pencil is ideal.

Now my problem was that I needed a soft pencil which was not too dark but blended in well and something that would last and not need re-applying too much.

I decided to try Mac as so many friends seem to recommend it. I went to Selfridges and at the Mac counter tried the testers and found the shade I was looking for. I was trying to find this shade for a while but failed in other makes, it was a sort of dark grey/brown colour called 'teddy'.

The product costed £11 which is expensive for an eye pencil as they can easily get lost in my experience. This product gives a smokey sort of look and for me it does not last for a long time on the eyes. I was disapointed about this as I assumed that it will be one of those products that will stay on for a long time but perhaps my eyes are extra watery or another reason as I know others praise Mac make-up and say that it stays on for ages.

I was pleased with the shade and the effect it has when applied and it is a soft pencil which does not irritate the eyes and does not give a very defined look.

A good overall product and easy to take along in the handbag but a bit pricey for a pencil eyeliner.

Summary: I will most probably buy again
