I have had my MAC 239 eye shader brush for about a year and a half now and it is still in amazing condition even after being used almost every day, which definitely reflects how amazing the quality of it is. It cost me around £18 but it has been a great investment! It is the only brush that I use when applying my eyeshadow because it packs the product on so neatly & effortlessly and the overall look always looks perfect with amazing, vibrant colour pay off and it always looks so much more accurately applied and neater than when I use cheaper brushes - I'd be lost without it to be honest! The white bristles are very firm & pick up lots of ... Read the complete review

I've had a MAC addiction for quite a few years now & often try out new products. One of the items that I've had for ages though is the number 239 eyeshadow brush, which I actually recieved as a birthday present around two years ago. I wear eyeshadow most days and almost always use this to apply it. Unlike some of the cheaper eyeshadow brushes that I have used, this has stayed in perfect condition. It doesn't cling onto excess powder, meaning that it takes a while for it to become discoloured (impressive considering that it's white) and it never gets clogged up (I think that's the word I'm looking for!) with powder, even when I've not washed it ... I've always been someone that uses brushes to apply my makeup, I simply can't understand people that manage to get away with just using their fingers - especially when it comes to eye makeup. I like to think of makeup brushes as a little investment, generally the higher the price, the higher the quality and therefore will last longer. The brush I'll be talking about today is the MAC Eye Shader Brush, also known as the 239 brush. I've had this brush for 4 years now and it's still going strong so I figure I'm qualified to give it a useful review! The eye shader brush is intended to be used to apply eyeshadow to the lid of the eye, it isn't a blending brush for ... Read the complete review

MAC cosmetics is a line of cosmetics aimed at women. This company is famous world wide and is what many professionals use. They might not have the purest ingredients but all of their products are designed to be of great performance. I absolutely love pure eye shadow mineral pigments ( not the ones from MAC though) and having a brush who can deal with minerals is an absolute must. Over the years I have tried a few different brushes, I like having a diversity plus is fun to experiment, also different pigments can have different textures that necessities different brushes. Seeing the MAC 239 eye shading brush I became immediately tempted. The white ... Read the complete review

The MAC #239 eye shader is probably the brush that MAC will recommend if you ask for a basic, eye shadow application brush. It is one of their best sellers that many people use, love and rave about. It is hand assembled using natural white goat hair (cruelty free I might add), and has soft yet densely packed bristles. The brush head measures about 10mm wide by 10mm high and has slightly tapered sides and a fluffed, rounded tip. It retails for £16.64 and is another brush that is available from all MAC locations, be it freestanding or inside a department store such as House Of Fraiser or Debenhams etc. ~ The dense paddle shape of this brush makes it ...
