Advantages: Massive colour selection, great pigment

Mac is quite simply one of the leading cosmetic companies out there. None of their products have ever disappointed me and the eyeshadow was no exception. In fact i'd go so far to say the eyeshadow is my favourite part of the range.

Why? Mac colour pigments are so strong that the colour you see in the pan really is a true representation of what you will get once applied on your lids. The colour goes on smoothly and evenly and is so easy to blend. There is a massive regular line selection as well as limited edition shadows being brought out once a month with the current collection. There are also extra shades sold at the pro store. Also worth mentioning is that the shadows come in a variety of finishes including shimmer and matt shades.

Packaging & Cost: You get one 1.5g eyeshadow in a little pot with a lid for £9.79. This does seem quite a bit for one shadow but as they are so pigmented they last for ages.

Where can i buy? Mac counters are in Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, Stand alone Mac shops are in most cities and you can order online

Ones to look out for: Some real gems in the collection are steamy (a sea green/blue), carbon (a matt black) and woodwinked (a soft brown)

I have never regretted buying a mac eyeshadow. They are amazing quality and the choice of colours is unrivaled
