Yes it's true I love Mac make-up. I began this love affair with aid of a camp make-up artist Paul.
Paul, one of Mac's instore make-up artist listened to my call for all day, everyday eyes. First he selected a skin colour shade for my whole eye (up to the eye brow) then he selected a dark brown for the closing part of the eye lid.
I also added a glisening bronze and a light purple to my collection.

*Packaging*
They come in a stylish black (or special edition colour) box which has a circular whole in the top so you can see the colour of the eye shadow. The actual eye shadow is in a smallish (c. 5cm across) plastic shell with a clear acrylic window as the lid (see picture). As they are singular then they can easily fit into your make-up bag, and you can pick and choose for that weekend away look, very easily.

*Application*
For the whole eyelid I use my fingure, for the colour I use the Mac's pen brush so I can cleanly put the colour into the corner of my eye lid. Although easier to apply with a brush I do also use just my finger and it works ok. The problem with using your finger is that the eyeshadow has a good staying power and so you need to wash your finger otherwise it gets everywhere.

*Range of colours*
Huge! There are soft ones such as the browns, bright yellows and white, metallic ones... well the list goes on. And being Mac you can always try before you buy, just ask.

*Staying Power*
These will stay all day and all night, but may need another application at aroun 7pm if you want it all day.

*Powderiness*
Some eye shadows I find are very powdery and it gets all over my face. Mac however is different, I think it is because it is so fine and so it has greater sticking power.

*Value for money*
I have used about half of my skin coloured one in a year and I wear it everyday, and as it has great staying power, then yes it is great value for money.

Summary: A very good product, ticks all of the boxes.
