Advantages: Fine particles, long-lasting, excellent pigmentation, amazing choice of colours, great quality
Disadvantages: I can't afford to buy every single one!
These eyeshadows are world renowned for being fab, by both the public (like me) and industry insiders e.g. makeup artists. Obviously there are some people who don't rate them, but I believe they are top quality and have a great colour range available.
The packaging is a little round pot, which easily fits into any makeup bag. The eyeshadow seems to be made of lovely fine particles so it goes on evenly and blends very well. The best thing about them is how strong the colour pigmentation is. You can really build up the colour for either a full coverage or a dramatic or bold look. This makes them very versatile, and the range of colours makes it easy to mix and match a whole look (e.g. smokey eyes, or different shades of similar colour for a graduated effect.
They are certainly addictive, and I do find myself lusting after new colours when out shopping - bit like the adult version of going past a sweetshop window! My everyday staple is "Shroom", a perfect taupey beige colour.
The lasting power of this eyeshadow is fantastic! It really does last all day, and because it is made of fine particles it doesn't crease. If you want to make sure it lasts, build it up in layers or use a primer.
This is by far the best eyeshadow I have used, and by far the best, brightest colour range. The colours seem to look even better on than in the pot, so if you are fancying one the chances are you will be pleased. They aren't cheap, but they are quality and long-lasting.
Summary: A quality array of rainbow colours that perform brilliantly are highly pigmented and last ages.
