If I could only choose one brand of make-up to use for the rest of my life it would probably be Mac. I find the brand very inspirational when it comes to make up. There's ALWAYS new collections and limited editions and all kinds of new exciting products coming out. Also when it comes to eyeshadows, blushers and lip colours they have the widest range of shades available. I'm always excited to visit the Mac counter, much more than the other brands out there.
Mac is available in the bigger department stores and some Debenhams stores (sadly there's no where that close to me that stocks it) There are also Mac stores dotted around aswell, they have a pretty impressive website where clear swatches of the colours and a brief description of the shade is described.
My love of make up has developed over the years and I love watching make-up tutorials online, I guess that's what lead me to these eyeshadows. I've purchased quite a few different ones and find the quality second to none.
* high-pigmented powder
* applies evenly, blends well.
As I mentioned before the variety of shades is amazing, there are 144 shades available online in every colour you could think of! There are also a number of finishes:
* veluxe pearl
* veuxe pearl
The pigment in the eyeshadows is so strong! I've found you only need to use a tiny amount of product to get a strong finish. The colours do blend well as stated by Mac and the texture of them is so smooth, they go onto the eyelid like silk. I sometimes use the matte black shade named 'carbon' as an eyeliner and it stays on all day. There are palettes available with the eyeshadows in but probably my favourite thing of all is that you can buy empty palettes and choose the colours you want! No more buying a palette full of colours and only using half the shades! There are also individual refills available for your palette.
I love the Mac packaging it's plain but very classy looking. The small pot comes with a flip-top and a clear lid so you can see which colour your picking up.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
For the individual eye shadow pot which is 1.5g the cost is £12.00, this is expensive for an individual eye shadow but the quality is worth the price and the product does last well to.
Also you have the option if you choose to go for a palette and buy refills, the refills cost £10.00 so overtime you will save money by doing it this way if you use them all the time and want a few different colours. As you've probably guessed by this review I will always be repurchasing these products!
Summary: my favourite eye shadow!
