I suffer from very dry skin and found it difficult to find makeup that would not dry my face out completely and make me look awful. I found this happened with most brands that you find in a supermarket and was eventually recommended the mac brand. My friend ad the mac hyper real foundation and I decided to give it a go before a night out and was impressed with the results so decided to invest in the foundation for myself. I went instore to buy it as I wanted the right colour and found that the people who work for mac knew exactly what they were talking about and they spent a fair bit of time finding the right product and colour for my skin type.
This is This does leave an amazing coverage without looking to heavy and didn't dry my face out at all. I have been using it for all my makeup needs whether it be, work, general day makeup and going out. And have found the coverage lasts the duration of any time it's needed.
This product is a bit more expensive than other brands but over the years I have tried them all and if you suffer from dry skin I would defiantly say that this product is worth the extra money for what you get. It is fairly easy to come across and if you buy it in store and not online you do have the added benefit of the mac advisers to ensure you get the right product for you.
This is a liquid foundation which I applied with a mac liquid foundation brush which left a even but light coverage still covering my Rosey cheeks and blemishes. I found that if I applied this in the morning around 8 I did have to reapply a little amount just around my cheeks which are Rosey in the evening about 5 which then lasted the evening at work. I found i only needed a small blob of the hyper real foundation to leave my skin looking naturally covered. This means that the bottle lasted longer than others. Mine lasted around 3 months and that was with using it everyday.
I payed around £21 for this product in a mac store but you may find it cheaper online. It is more expensive than high street brands but is well worth the extra money.
Isn't this what everybody wants? It is hard to achieve. Especially for people like me, who have had acne and have remaining acne scars. But with this foundation I was able to cover up the blemishes allowing my skin to achieve a natural looking glow.
This foundation worked like magic. The foundation blended easily with my skin giving my skin an natural appearance. My friends and family where amazed by my skin and could not tell that I was wearing the foundation.
The foundation is a miracle worker. Its the first - and only foundation that allowed complete coverage of my acne scarring, making me feel comfortable and better about myself.
I personally don't like using heavy thick layers of foundation. I enjoy this brand because it is light and natural. It contains a shimmer making your face have a natural looking shine. The foundation only needs to be applied once throughout the whole day. The foundation is great for the night and the day. But if you are going out in the evening I would recommend to reapply the foundation. The bottle usually lasts a long time, I used my foundation nearly everyday and it lasted a total of just over six months.
When getting the right shade to match your skin tone, I recommend visiting the nearest MAC store. You can try and test out the products to find the perfect match. You can also receive helpful makeup advice.
There are different types of foundation to suit your skin type i would recommend visiting the nearest MAC store to find out which foundation would best suit your skin. The price is from around £25 - £30. This is a large price tag but it is worth every penny. I have brought a small tub of foundation and it has lasted me six months so far and there is still a fair amount left. It is long lasting and provides exceptional coverage.
I would recommend this product to anyone especially acne sufferers. Like other MAC products I find this product simply magical. If your after a light long lasting foundation, this is made for you.
This was better than "feel Natural by L'oreal." I always buy foundation/powder/blush/concealer only recommended by "safe cosmetics" on "www.zerozits.com", because those safe cosmetics on that list are not supposed to cause breakouts(acne.pimples...whatever) i.e those on "safe cosmetics" list do not contain acne causing infredients. This hyper-real foundation was on that list and I bought it since this hyper-real foundation is "safe" for my blemish-prone skin and supposed to give me that luminous and glowing look to my face. Well since this foundation contains the "pink-pearly pigments" and silicone based, it glides well on my face but definately caused me to breakout. I don't know why! And having oily skin as well, my grease came thru this foundation, like within 2-3 hours after applying this. This foundation is not for oily or blemish-prone skin. The color is quite lovely, I love the pink pearly pigments but #100 shade was quite fair for me and # 200 was dark for me. So, not much of a choice, I guess. Sheer coverage but enough to cover up the blemish..this foundation does feel kinda heavy on my face, too. I would rather recommend "Shine Free oil control makeup by Maybelline". This one does not cause breakouts but gives matte finish(not glowing tho) and u should be quick applying this cause this shinefree foundation dries up quick on ur face, and can leave that "tide marks" so u need some applying technique or tip.
I was in House of Fraser where I was looking for a foundation. It?s not often that I splash out on expensive make-up but when I need it I do and with a party coming up I thought why not. I had not previously bought any items from the MAC range so it was a bit of a new experience. In House of Fraser you can get a free make over, where they test the products on you. As the woman as testing the Mac Hyper Real foundation I could see an instant difference to me face. It blended in perfectly with my skin colour leaving a smooth even glowing complexion. My face I have to admit looked much better, much more nutritioned, smoother and even softer. There was definitely a noticeable difference. I was really impressed and the woman didn?t have to say anything to persuade me to buy the product. You can use the MAC Hyper real foundation in several ways, fingers, sponge or brush. I did purchase the Mac brush but using your fingers is just as good. Just put a bit on the top of your hand and gently massage it evenly on your face. You can then use a powder to finish it off. A little tip use a brush as opposed to the pad because it gives a more even finish to your face. If you have rough skin then Mac foundation will leave your face looking smooth. It?s also brilliant at covering spots or circles under your eyes. Once dried it leave a perfect balanced finish. The best thing about this product has to be the fact that it really does revitalise your face. You may be satisfied with the product that you were using previously but the difference is really compelling. If you use this product once in the morning, it will stay on all day. That?s a major advantage it holds over other cheaper product. There is no need to reapply during the day. So your face will be glowing all day long. I got a leaflet with the product and the product is described; ?as a silicon-based foundation that mimics skin's natural dimensions and light-
reflective qualities?. The foundation can be worn on its own, over existing foundation, or used to highlight the skin. Hyper Real's foundation come in eight shades so they should suite a wide range of skin colours and undertones. It is made in the USA and once worm it will make you feel special to say the least. It is suitable for daily wear and evening wear. Mac foundation cost £21, yes I know it?s expensive but it?s worth every penny. Having worn no foundation, a cheap £1 foundation and other brands I definitely would recommend it. A girl has to look good and trust me this foundation is just excellent. It really does make a huge different. The way the foundation just blends into your skin is wonderful. It helps to you show your cheekbones and adds beauty to your face. I got quite a few complements when I wore this product. It made me feel good and gave me extra confidence. Remarkable what a foundation can do. So don?t be put off by the price, this foundation is worth every penny.
MAC FOUNDATION. I was on a shopping trip to Dublin and thought it was a good chance to stock up on Mac products as none I of the shops locally sell this brand. Friendly staff as usual made me aware of all their produce and let me sample numerous concoctions. My main aim was to buy a new foundation as I had been using the same one for a number of years. As everyone knows who has tried to do this it’s not easy. Too many types, colours , textures, oil free. and combinations. Too sore on the brain never mind the face. I finally settled on Hyper Real Foundation which was light reflective apparently good for ageing (no let me rephrase that) not 16 year old skin. It was guaranteed to do this and many of the other. What a disappointment. When applying it did not glide over my skin but sat solid and made it look clogged and flaky. It has a funny texture and although the assistant matched the colour to my skin, when applied it was very noticeable. Not one of my best purchases and I will not repeat the mistake. It’s back to my old reliable once again.
