I was on the look out for an orange lipstick that didn't make me look like I'd grabbed my grannies lipstick from the 1980's - many companies offered "coral" and "peach" and frosted shades, but none had the one I wanted until I came across MAC. They have over 140 shades of lipstick in all different finishes: matt, gloss, metallic etc. I cannot comment on gloss or matt as I have only had the pleasure of using the metallic ones.

You get 3oz of lipstick - the same size as a regular tube of lipstick, for approx £12 which I think is quite pricey for a lipstick. But they literally do have every colour you could every imagine - if it isn't in the MAC range, nowhere sells it.

The packaging is a black box with white wriing saying MAC on it, and the lipstick is a black bullet shape with a silver barrel and black writing of MAC on it. I like the packaging, the whole range is done in this manner and it is simple but classy and it certainly feels high end and trendy.

The lipstick itself is shaped for easy application, and the colours are extremely vibrant. The orange tone I have has shimmery orange and gold through it and gives a really nice metallic sheen to it. The lipstick stays on as long as you would expect - if you eat or drink it comes off as it is not a "stay in place all day" type, but in my experience of lipsticks it definitely stays on longer than you might expect. It slides onto the lips really well and doesn't bleed -I rarely use lip liner with it - lets face it Ive neverseen an orange lipliner!

The lipstick is also very sturdy and has not *yet* broken like some do - that includes being in bags and in hotter climates, it hasnt melted either.

Overally I would definitely buy MAC again if I was looking for a bold, vibrant lipstick that I wanted to give an impact - they do an amazing array of shades.
