I had never used the MAC brand up until last year, when a friend persuaded me to invest in one of their eyeshadows. However, I have not looked back ever since. I have a few items including lipsticks.
There are a massive 148 shades to choose from, so a girl really is spoilt for choice. If you're unsure on what colour may suit you best - just ask one of the sales advisors!
I decided to invest in 'Lady Danger'. This is a bright red matte lipstick which at first I was pretty dubious about buying. I decided to go for it anyway and I absolutley love it. It's really easy to apply, just one sweep and your lips are covered! You can easily build up colour or just as easily tame it down by dabbing some off with a tissue. It moisturises your lips and does not dry them out. However, with it being such a bold colour, it's pretty easy to smudge and can leave a few marks around your lips. I find that when out, I only have to re-apply once - maybe twice. This is one of the only lipsticks i have used that does not leave any residue when drinking from a glass etc.
The price for 1 lipstick is £12.50...A little pricey. But as MAC is such a renowned brand, you know that you're getting quality. You can get MAC products from either the actual MAC website, Department stores or a MAC store.
The lipstick itself comes in a sturdy black bullet shaped casing, with the brand written on the side in silver. The colour of the lipstick is on a tiny sticker at the bottom, so if you have a few in your make-up bag you don't have to take of all the lids to finally get the one you want.
Even though I prefer to use the 'Matte' Finish, many more are available including: Satin and Glaze.
I would fully reccommend MAC lipsticks to anyone. There is a shade/colour for everyone and after buying one, you will probably go back for more!
Summary: Lovely lipstick. Bit Pricey.
