Advantages: Pigmented, great lasting power, doesn't bleed.

Disadvantages: None for me, but some may be put off by the steep price.

Those of you who read my reviews probably already know I am a make-up addict. I just can't get enough of it. I have a huge collection of make-up, even though I don't wear a full face of make-up everyday! Lip products are one of my favourites-even when I don't have the time to use anything else, I always try to make sure I have some sort of lip product on. I buy and use budget make-up a lot, but recently I have started to save up for high-end make-up and when people want to buy me presents, I just ask for high-end make-up products, with my favourite brand being MAC. My aunt was visiting from the US a few months ago and wanted to bring me something, so I asked for some MAC make-up since I know it is cheaper there and one of the things she got me was a MAC lipstick in Crème In Your Coffee.

What MAC Says:
Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous. MAC describes this shade as a "creamy mid-tone pink brown" which I think is an accurate description.

Packaging
The lipstick comes in a black cardboard box (like the one in the picture above) which I have thrown away as I don't like to keep excess packaging around. The lipstick comes in black bullet-shaped casing with the MAC logo printed on it in silver. The shade name is written on the base of the lipstick. The lid can be pulled on and off, and clicks into place securely and doesn't come off by itself so you can carry it around in your bag. The lipstick is quite light and easy to hold and you just have to twist the base to get the lipstick part out, which is pointed and thus, easy to apply.

The Lipstick
Since I hadn't actually tried this colour out, I was not completely sure if it would suit me, but based on some swatches I saw online, I thought that it would. Obviously, the best thing to do would be to visit a MAC store and try some colours out, and maybe get the opinion of the MAC make-up artists. The lipstick is easy to apply and you don't have to press down too hard. You can apply it with a lip brush if you want, but I only tend to do that with reds and other really bright colours. The description is quite accurate, and I do find this to be a mid-tone pink brown which looks quite nice on my fair skin tone, and would look nice on every skin tone in my opinion. It is quite pigmented and does stand out a little on my face and look a little bright, but on people with medium to dark skin tones, it would probably look like a more nude shade. It's a versatile shade that I can wear during the day and at night. If I'm wearing it during the day, I apply it very lightly, but at night, I do apply it with a heavier hand. While it is not very moisturising, it is a little creamy and doesn't dry my lips out, but I do apply a lip balm underneath. It does go on a little matte, so if you want a glossy finish you will need to apply lip gloss on top. The lasting power is brilliant and it will last for 6-7 hours if you don't eat or drink, but if you do, you will need to re-apply. It does fade fairly evenly though. Also, it doesn't bleed, even when you eat and drink, so that is a huge plus as you don't have to worry about getting lipstick all over your mouth.

Price and Availability
MAC lipsticks are available in a large number of shades (so I'm sure everyone will be able to find something that they like/that suits them) at MAC stores as well as at Selfridges, House of Fraser, etc, and also online at http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk. You get 3.0g of lipstick for £13.50, which is expensive, but well worth the price in my opinion. Alternatively, you can buy it from the duty-free section at airports for a little less, or if you're visiting the USA any time soon, or know someone who is, get your MAC make-up from there as it is substantially cheaper. If you're buying online, I would say buy from the MAC website or a reputable store, and not websites such as ebay, as there are lots of fake MAC products available for sale there.

Final Word
While MAC lipsticks (and MAC make-up in general) is a little pricey, I'm happy to part with my money for it as I do find that in the case of MAC, you get what you pay for as the quality is brilliant. The lipsticks have great lasting power, don't bleed, are pigmented and glide on smoothly, and there is a huge variety so everyone will be able to find something that looks good on them.
