Advantages: creamy, non-drying, smooth and stays put
Disadvantages: none
I bought one of these MAC concealers a few years ago, when I first discovered the MAC make up range. Though these are excellent concealers and I have nothing negative to write about them, I've recently discovered Clinique's new airbrush concealer and I find that the colour and applicator suits my skin tone and needs better.
The MAC concealer comes in a little tube and goes on creamy, smoothly and evenly. I like to apply it either using my fingers or a concealer brush. It gives enough coverage to brighten under the eye and camouflage the odd blemish. However, for those looking for a heavier cover-up, you might want to visit your MAC counter or shop and get a make up artist to advise you on what would be best for you. This concealer is good enough for your everyday and most common needs.
When I use it under the eye, I need to put a fine layer of blotting or loose powder over it, as it tends to crease into the crease of my eye after 40 minutes or so. The powder helps it stay put and the colour doesn't budge. The concealer isn't drying (unlike other brands, i.e. benefit's boiing - though I think these will now be discontinued) and stays put until you remove your make up.
I would recommend this concealer and would say it definitely does the job! The only reason why I've now decided to use the Clinique is because the colour matches my skin tone better (I'm olive skinned) and the applicator is a wand, so I don't really need to use and extra concealer brush. However, the price for the Clinique is a little more than the MAC but worth it to me, solely for the 2 reasons I mentioned.
Summary: good concealer in many differnt shades
