Finding the perfect foundation - or, sometimes, even a halfway decent foundation for that matter - can be a real challenge. There are so many things to consider; matching your skin colour, finding the right consistency, the right coverage, not to mention how it affects the state of your skin (oily foundation on oily skin generally being a big no-no). So when you find something good, in my opinion, you should stick with it. That's why I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with MAC foundation for quite some time to come. MAC (which stands for Make-up Art Cosmetics) started out as a cosmetics brand for make-up artists and gradually garnered cult status through it's ... Read the complete review

I have extremely fair skin which means that it is very difficult to find the right foundation. When I went to MAC I was impressed by the fact that they have so many different shades. I still think that this colour is the best I ever found, and believe me I tried a lot of different brands and make-ups. :-) The reason why I do not like this make-up is simple: It does not stay put. I work in an office so I thought there should not be any such problem in the first place. However, whenever I started to sweat (or rather glow) just a little bit, this make-up 'deserted me'. It started to feel really disgusting and turned totally patchy. Using powder did ... Read the complete review

I decided to buy this product to treat myself to a really good foundation. I purchased it from selfridges with help from the lady at the MAC counter. I explained i wanted something easy to apply and would make my skin look as close to flawless as possible but not too made up, i thought if anything could do this it would be MAC. The lady recommended this and also an appication brush, she advised that the application brush gives a much better more even finsh, so i thought ok il get one, knowing that brushes are expensive i did expect it to be alot, however the brush was £36, i was gutted i hadnt asked the price before i bought it. Anyway i couldnt wait to try my new ... Read the complete review

In the past Ive always used Virgin vie/ Vie foundation but in recent months they decided to discontinue the foundation which I had been using so I found myself back to square one for the search for a reliable foundation. I suffer from quiete dry and sensitive skin which can become oily in the t-zone area which has always caused problems when trying to find that perfect foundation that provides me with that flawless coverage that still looks natural and lasts all day. I had heard many good reports about MAC make-up and a close friend was always raving about how good the makeup was so I decided to go to one of the MAC counters at one of my local department stores ... "Select SPF 15" was the first of MAC's foundation that I tried. It promised medium coverage with a fresh, semi-matte finish. Upon first application, I was pleased. I had a great colour match (Not surprising really, since MAC have such an extensive range of foundation shades, though perhaps not the for the palest, most cool toned of us...) that I can rarely achieve with other brands. It dried quickly and didn't leave me with a tacky, damp finish as some liquid foundations tend too. The coverage wasn't too great, I would say it is more of a "light-medium" personally. I still needed to use a good concealer and setting powder with ... Read the complete review
