Very dissapoining (Mac Select SPF 15 Foundation)

I decided to buy this product to treat myself to a really good foundation. I purchased it from selfridges with help from the lady at the MAC counter. I explained i wanted something easy to apply and would make my skin look as close to flawless as possible but not too made up, i thought if anything could do this it would be MAC. The lady recommended this and also an appication brush, she advised that the application brush gives a much better more even finsh, so i thought ok il get one, knowing that brushes are expensive i did expect it to be alot, however the brush was £36, i was gutted i hadnt asked the price before i bought it. Anyway i couldnt wait to try my new foundation, so i did as soon as i got home, using my brush to apply it in circular motions like i had been advised to. Well the only way to describe what happened next was that i was absolutely gutted. It would not blend in at all i just had brush marks all over my face, it also enhanced my dry skin, which is totally under control and no other make up shows it, in fact its never really there anymore, until this foundation. If your skin is utterly flawless, it looks good in photos, but doesnt last very long. I also tried to apply this product with a sponge and my finger, my dissapointment was the same, this foundation really is no good at all, until this i had been an admirer of MAC, now im afraid i just think its an expensive facepaint.
