The headline I've given this product is a little unfair and is actually not a negative. I just mean that if you are looking for that ethereal, pearlescent vampiric complexion then this product will see you right. As other people have mentioned it is a multi-tasking product which can be used both as a highlighter to accentuate your good bits, or a complexion enhancer by mixing with your foundation/tinted moisturiser (I general mix half and half). I prefer the latter as other products are arguably better at highlighting, the benefit beam range in particular, but it is handy that it can be used for both. I use this product mainly in winter as it renders my skin paler and gives my skin a nice even shimmer without being too sparkly. I don't want to look member of an abba tribute band.

The product is reasonably priced and it does last for ages, even with daily use for 6 months I'm still yet to make a significant dent in the bottle. If you find the cream a bit heavy then Mac does offer a lighter version called Mac strobe lotion which may be worth checking out if your skin is prone to break-outs. My cousin wears this and it gives her the same effect as mine.

I would recommend it as a lot of make-up artists seem to use it on shoots and they're the experts after all.
