I have only recently got into the Mac brand of makeup. I first started looking at it when I was stuck in the airport after my flight was delayed, it was a late flight and I was wandering around and as the airport was quiet I did get to know many of the products as well as ending up purchasing one. I actually brought the Mac Studio Fix plus foundation. I usually wear my Estee Lauder double wear foundation with some bronzer or blusher over the top but as this is s product that combines a foundation and a powder I was keen to give it a go. Here are my thoughts on the product.


The Mac make up range as I mentioned is one that is at the higher end of make up when it comes to prices, this product will cost around the £26.00 mark so I think you need to be really certain that you want to try it, it is not something that you are just going to want to trial. I had a sample put on me by the assistant in the airport and I loved the coverage that it gave so it tempted me into the purchase. Mac can be found in places like House of Frasers larger stores, Selfridges as well as online.


The makeup is quite simple in packaging and design and this is why I really like it, there is something really sophisticated about the design and it does like a good piece of makeup. The pot is round in shape and you need to flip the lid open and on the inside of this is a mirror. On the base is the makeup. On the lid of the pot is the Mac logo in white writing. The pot is mainly black in colour, on the base is a breakdown of the ingredients that have been used as well as directions for use.


This is a really easy product to use; all you need to do is use the applicator sponge that is stored underneath the foundation / powder. We are told by Mac that this is something that combines the goodness of foundation and powder in one and will provide a flawless finish. It will hide imperfections as well as giving the lasting coverage. I was most interested in this having the long lasting coverage as I wanted this to go on of the morning and still be in place at the end of the day.


The product was really easy to apply, it was a smooth application and it was a smooth texture, it went on as quite a thin layer but you could clearly see it. What I liked was that it gave a good, even coverage and it felt really light but it did give my skin a healthy glow and the coverage allowed my skin to look really flawless and took the red marks out of my skin, I just added a little bit of blusher over the top of my cheek bones and I was done!

The best thing that I can say about this was not just the coverage but the fact that it really did last all day, it didn't slide off my skin or move in any way, it just sat there looking really flawless and even, it doesn't even go blotchy so there is a definite quality about this product.


In summary, I would be happy to recommend this Mac Studio Fix, I think that it is really good quality, application is really easy and you only need a small amount to cover the face area.
