Advantages: medium coverage, goes on smoothly, comes in handy compact

Disadvantages: still bit too heavy feeling for me

I've tried 4 different MAC foundations so far and I'll compare this one to the MAC and other brands I've tried.

I'm currently more into the MAC mineralize range, as this feels very light, goes on like a dream and feels so comfortable, I almost forget I'm actually wearing foundation. The MAC studio tech is a creamy pressed foundation that you apply with a sponge. The sponge provided is hidden in a compartment underneath the foundation and is quite thick compared to say the Benefit sponges, but good quality and lasts quite some time. The foundation gives a medium coverage and goes on smoothly and lasts all day. However, I am so fussy about my foundation and I hate the feeling of anything on my skin that since I've discovered the mineralise products, I've never used this again. It's a good product if you don't mind a light feeling of foundation on your skin, but I just don't like feeling anything at all. I want to be able to breathe, and though this doesn't feel sticky or clogging, it's no good for me anymore. Sorry MAC, but your mineralise range is just too good!
I've also used benefit's some kinda gorgeous foundation faker, and though the shade goes well with most skin tones, I like the exact match or tanned match that MAC gives me. I've also tried Estee Lauder liquid foundations but they've always felt a little sticky on my skin and I didn't use powder before, so they used to run off with sweat or rain.

All in all, this is an excellent foundation that comes in a handy compact so you can apply and re-apply whenever you need to. It goes on smoothly and gives you a medium, buildable coverage.
